NFL legend Marshawn Lynch throws an elbow at a player while working as a photographer at Seahawks game
NFL legend Marshawn Lynch has gone viral after stiff-arming a Seattle Seahawks player while seemingly working as a photographer during their preseason game. The 39-year-old was spotted - in full photographer gear - on the sidelines as his former team took on the Las Vegas Raiders at Lumen Field on Thursday afternoon. The two-time All-Pro running back had his camera at the ready, wore an official NFL vest and had all the credentials as he snapped pictures from the day. However, things nearly ended in disaster when Seahawks star George Holani nearly backed up into Lynch as he scored a touchdown on the day. Lynch took matters into his own hands and - in order to protect his camera - threw out an elbow to prevent the running back from breaking his equipment. Holani appeared to take little note of Lynch's shove and swiftly jogged back onto the field, while Lynch took his spot back on the sidelines. Meanwhile, there were plenty of pictures of Lynch working alongside the Seahawks' longtime photographer Rod Mar on the day. Lynch follows in the footsteps of former Seattle Mariners stars Ken Griffey Jr. and Randy Johnson by making the transition into photographer after retiring. It remains to be seen whether Lynch will be back on the sidelines for the Seahawks' next preseason game against the Chiefs on August 15th. Elsewhere on the day, Raiders rookie Ashton Jeanty endured a debut to forget as he struggled to find form in the game against the Seahawks. The highly-rated 21-year-old, who was spotted viewing a beautiful $12.5million Las Vegas mansion earlier this week, managed just three carries for -1 yard against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. And football fans didn't hesitate to rip the rookie for his underwhelming performance with many already writing him off before the start of the NFL season. 'I have more rushing yards than Ashton Jeanty in the NFL preseason,' one fan account joked on X, as a second echoed: 'YOU have more rushing yards in the NFL than Ashton Jeanty.' Jeanty had arrived in Sin City as a highly-anticipated prospect, signing a four-year deal worth $35.9 million with the franchise - which included a stunning signing bonus worth just under $22.75 million. There was a lot of expectations for Jeanty after his impressive displays for Boise State saw him come runner-up in the Heisman Trophy last year.

Marshawn Lynch the photographer forearmed a Seahawk for vital reason
Marshawn Lynch was known for stiff-arming everyone during that famed Beast Quake run, so it shouldn't be any surprise that while he was on the sidelines photographing the Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders preseason game, he was out there protecting the camera like it was a football. As Seahawks running back George Holani was heading toward Lynch and what probably is a very expensive camera, the former RB gave Holani a forearm shiver. It was a good move, as the camera was protected. He's just there so he won't get fined, but hey, maybe the NFL thinks otherwise! I'm kidding, obviously. Why was Marshawn Lynch photographing the Seahawks game? I've found no answer on that yet, but maybe he's taken up the hobby like another Seattle athletic legend.

Marshawn Lynch throws elbow to protect camera from Seahawks RB George Holani in debut as photographer
Seattle Seahawks running back George Holani nearly backed into a photographer during Thursday's preseason game. But not just any photographer. It was Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch manning the sideline with both camera and official NFL vest, and he did what he had to do to protect his camera. As Holani fell toward him, the 39-year-old stuck out his elbow and protected a piece of equipment likely to be quite expensive. It was a blank-and-miss it cameo, and one that both men came away from just fine. As for why Lynch was down there, your guess is as good as ours. It might be a tradition for Seattle sports legends to take up photography at this point, as both Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr. have caught the bug in retirement. Randy Johnson Photography, which features the best logo in the business, has taken the Hall of Fame pitcher to a wide array of locales with an emphasis on concerts and wildlife, while Griffey received praise recently for his work at the Masters tournament this year. It's also notable the Seahawks were playing the Las Vegas Raiders, one of Lynch's former teams, who are coaches by Pete Carroll, one of Lynch's former coaches. Lynch popped up at Carroll's introductory news conference to ask the coach a question, and this might just be an evolution of his media career. Whatever the reason, the 39-year-old Lynch seemed to be having fun out there. Lynch has been a busy man in retirement, as both a businessman and media personality. His investments include the NHL's Seattle Kraken, the USL's Oakland Roots, a marijuana brand and a hologram start-up, while his television appearances include a gig on Amazon's "Thursday Night Football," season 3 of Euphoria and a reality show where celebrities "colonized" Mars. He also hosted a podcast with Calif. governor Gavin Newsom.

George Holani had explosive first half against Raiders
The Seattle Seahawks currently lead the Las Vegas Raiders 16-3 at halftime, and second year running back George Holani has been the driving force behind this performance. Against the Raiders' defense - which featured many starters - Holani bulldozed his way to 61 yards on seven carries. On the opening drive, Holani had a 20 yard rush, and on the second possession, he scampered his way to a 24-yard score. With Kenneth Walker III sidelined with the rest of Seattle's primary starters, and with Kenny McIntosh on the Injured Reserve list, the opportunity at the running back position is wide open. So far, Holani is sprinting full-speed through said window of opportunity. Last year, the Seahawks cut Holani but were able to sign him back to their practice squad. If they make a similar decision at the end of August, they won't be so lucky to keep him. The rest of the NFL will certainly notice this performance.
