William Could Be King ‘Earlier than Expected' & His 1st Order Is For Harry to Be ‘Harshly Dealt With' For the ‘Ultimate Windsor Crime'
There's a lot of layers to the issues of what will happen when Prince William takes the throne. And the reality is that it is probably coming sooner rather than later. King Charles is still battling cancer. Prince William is stepping up in his duties to help his father, who reportedly isn't keen to hand over the throne anytime soon. But his health and his age might leave the decision out of his hands. 'The people I've spoken to have said that the succession planning, as they call it, began even before Charles' diagnosis,' royal author Tom Quinn told Harper's Bazaar recently. 'I mean, he's the oldest Prince of Wales to become king in history, so succession planning had begun before Charles came to the throne simply because of the age issue.' Prince William has also retained new legal representation, switching lawyers from Harbottle & Lewis and its partner, Gerrard Tyrrell—the same lawyers his father used—to Mishcon de Reya, which represented Princess Diana in her divorce from Charles. 'William wanted to strike out on his own,' a source told the Daily Mail about the change. 'He did not want to continue using his father's lawyers. It's as simple as that. He wants to be his own man.' And part of wanting to be his own man is William wanting to strike a much harsher tone with his brother, Prince Harry. 'It's no secret William wants Harry more harshly dealt with. He thinks he has betrayed the family from top to bottom, which is the ultimate Windsor crime. It wouldn't take much to provoke him to flex his muscles when he is king,' a palace insider told The Daily Beast. Meghan Markle recently reposted a message from the vice president of Ukraine that addressed her as 'Your Royal Highness.' However, the outlet made it clear that King Charles wasn't taking that all too seriously. 'Charles isn't going to open a new front in the civil war on the basis of one Instagram post, and it's not as if they are calling themselves HRH,' another source told the outlet. 'I think everyone is pretty clear, at this stage, what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's position in the family is.' Another insider told the outlet that while Prince William has a lot of influence on policy, that doesn't extend to Harry. 'Charles has a softly-softly attitude to Harry and Meghan, and so that's the policy for now, but the gloves will be off when [William] inherits the throne. If they started using the HRH titles on a regular basis, he would take them away for good,' the source said. Some were outraged at fact that Markle even reposted the comment. 'It's outrageous. Every time you think they can't make it worse, they make it worse,' another source added. 'The deal with the HRH was a way to stop them cashing in while letting them walk away with pride and dignity and trust, and now Markle is using her HRH on a website which seems to exist to sell jam.' 'It's actually quite a clever way of testing the water, because there is deniability there, she can say, 'Well, I just wanted to publish this nice letter to raise awareness for Ukraine, and oops! they got my name wrong — but oh, actually, now I think of it, I never gave the title up anyway, and maybe I will start using it again,'' another source said. Whether these sources are just echoing Prince William's sentiments or not, the consensus seems to be that when he's King, things are expected to change. And that means Harry and Meghan are likely to lose their titles. The question is, will they care? William & Kate Reportedly ‘Arguing' Amid Reports He Hired Princess Diana's Divorce Lawyer
The royal drama has a new chapter, and the last chapter isn't even done yet. New reports indicate the Prince and Princess of Wales aren't seeing eye to eye on something new, right as Prince William has retained new legal representation. This all comes as Kate Middleton is newly recovered from cancer and King Charles is still battling cancer, with Prince William stepping up in his duties to help his father, who, despite his illness, some reports indicate, doesn't want to hand over the throne to his son. See, drama. One thing does seem to be true. Prince William recently switched lawyers, from Harbottle & Lewis and its partner, Gerrard Tyrrell—the same lawyers his father used—to Mishcon de Reya, which represented Princess Diana in her divorce from Charles. Even if there's nothing to be read into the new lawyers, it is at the very least a pointed statement that he's not using his father's lawyers anymore. More from StyleCaster Kate Middleton Shares Cryptic Quote About Finding 'Peace' Days After Prince William Hired a Divorce Lawyer King Charles Reportedly Won't Hand Over the Throne to William After the Prince Hired Diana's Divorce Lawyers Related: Did William really cheat on Kate? 'William wanted to strike out on his own,' a source told the Daily Mail about the change. 'He did not want to continue using his father's lawyers. It's as simple as that. He wants to be his own man.' He reportedly wants the same for his son, George, which is why there's been a battle brewing with his wife, Kate Middleton, over where he will attend school next. 'There has been much speculation surrounding Prince George's next school,' British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital. 'The discussions have been circulating for years, with the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly arguing and debating the decision for years.' This is, in many ways, on part for the course. 'Most parents find choosing a good secondary school for their children daunting, even more so for the Prince and Princess of Wales, who want the best for Prince George,' she added. The family reportedly has toured Kate's old school, Marlborough College, in Wiltshire and Eton College, the former school of Prince William and Prince Harry. 'There has been a long line of unhappy schooling within the family,' Chard explained to the outlet. 'King Charles was very unhappy at Gordonstoun. Eton wasn't suitable for Prince Harry. Even Princess Catherine was bullied at a secondary school. Therefore, she is committed to securing the perfect fit for Prince George. And let's face it, the world is their oyster — they have the pick of all schools.' Ultimately, however, chances are George will end up at Eton, like his dad. Tradition is tradition, and if the royal family loves something, it's that. No matter how much Kate Middleton wants to fight against it. 'Princess Catherine has allegedly made it clear that she would rather Prince George attend an unstuffy co-ed school,' Chard claimed. But even though Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital Kate Middleton wants to keep her son from being bullied, security and William's history at Eton might end up winning out. 'School days for Kate at times were not the happiest as she experienced bullying, so she leaned more towards a less conventional education for George than William,' Turner claims. 'William, on the other hand, wanted to keep his traditional education by sending George to Eton College, which he enjoyed, and let him keep in close contact with Harry. Kate favors a more relaxed education for George rather than the structured life at Eton, which, although it has many opportunities, is steeped in tradition.' 'Who will win? I suspect George will go to Eton,' said Turner. Another expert, Hilary Fordwich, told the outlet that, 'It's a balancing challenge between royal traditions and their desire to modernize the monarchy, which Prince William and Princess Catherine are most carefully navigating. Their differing views are… rather healthy as it demonstrates how much thought is going into the process.' Whether that changes anything or not remains to be seen. The Future of William & Kate's Marriage Revealed After He Hired Divorce Lawyers in a Shocking Royal Twist
Prince William is going to get his way— one way or the other. The Prince of Wales has hired his mother's divorce lawyers in a stunning move that shocked Buckingham Palace. William has been regularly using his father's lawyers Harbottle & Lewis and its partner, Gerrard Tyrrell — and made the move to Mishcon de Reya, which represented Princess Diana in her divorce from Charles a year before her accidental death.'William wanted to strike out on his own,' a source tells the Daily Mail, who broke this news. 'He did not want to continue using his father's lawyers. It's as simple as that. He wants to be his own man.' More from StyleCaster Camilla Reportedly Turned Meghan & Kate Into 'Targets'-Her Shocking Role in Their Feud Inside William & Kate's 'Nightmare' That Almost 'Crushed' Their MarriageThe unexpected move has been 'the talk of legal circles' and Buckingham Palace thinks it's 'the latest example of his desire to follow a different path from that of his father.' William's friend told the Daily Mail, saying 'William wants to do things differently from his father, and wants to be seen to do them differently.' Even though he did hire his late mother's divorce lawyers, there isn't anything to worry about for the Royal couple. Kate Middleton returned to public duties after she announced her remission after her cancer diagnosis and thanked her husband for his continuous support. It also comes after William described his new changes for the Earthshot Prize Awards, 'I can only describe what I'm trying to do, and that's I'm trying to do it differently and I'm trying to do it for my generation. And to give you more of an understanding around it, I'm doing it with maybe a smaller 'r' in the royal, if you like. That's maybe a better way of saying it.' 'So it's more about impact, philanthropy, collaboration, convening, and helping people,' he continued. 'And I'm also going to throw empathy in there as well, because I really care about what I do. It helps impact people's lives. And I think we could do with some more empathetic leadership around the world. So that's what I'm trying to bring. That's what Catherine is trying to bring as well.'
