Iran may fire its deadliest missile at Israel in the end, it will rattle even US due to..., it has range of..., name is...

Iran has yet to fire its deadliest, Khorramshahr missile, at Israel. (File) Khorramshahr missile: Iran has fired more than 400 missiles at Israel since the Israel-Iran war erupted a week ago after the Jewish nation launched deadly airstrikes on Iranian cities, including the Tehran, targeting the countries nuclear facilities, as well as top military brass and nuclear scientists under its Operation Rising Lion. Following the attacks, Tehran initiated Operation True Promise III, launching waves of missiles and drones at Israel, scores of which penetrated Israel's multi-layered air defense system, including the famed Iron Dome, causing widespread destruction and loss of lives. According to experts, Iran has used a mix of its older missiles like Gadar and Imad as well as more modern advanced ballistic missiles such as the Kheibar Shekan, the Sejjil-2 heavy missile, and the its latest Fattah-1 hypersonic missile, which travels at Mach 15 speeds (15 times the speed of sound), making interception extremely difficult. Iran yet to fire its deadliest missile? However, its believed that Iran may not fire its deadliest missile– the highly-classified Khorramshahr missile– at Israel until the very end. According to various reports, the Khorramshahr missile, has a range of over 2,000 kilometers, and a carry a 1,500-kilogram conventional or warhead. Earlier, the media arms of Iran's elite Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had shared videos, purportedly showing the Khorramshahr-4 missile being launched by Iranian forces. However, it remains unclear whether Iran has used the liquid-fueled missile in the ongoing conflict, because no official statement has been made by Tehran confirming its deployment. Many experts believe that Iran will not use the Khorramshahr missile until the very end, or at least until United States jumps into the war, and the missile is being kept secure at a strategically safe location till Tehran decides to use it. Iran missile arsenal Iran's missile arsenal one of the largest in the world, consisting of more than 2,000 ballistic missiles, many of which can carry warheads weighing up to 900 kilos. Iran has already fired some of its most advanced and lethal missiles, at Israel, such as the Sejjil-2 and the Fattah-1 hypersonic missile, but it has even more deadlier options in its arsenal, including weapons like Fateh-2 hypersonic missile and Arash suicide drone, which its hasn't used so far during the current conflict. Israel-Iran war The Israel-Iran war erupted on June 13 when Israel unleashed a wave of pre-dawn air strikes on Iranian cities, including capital Tehran, under Operation Rising Lion, in which several top Iranian nuclear scientists and military commanders, including IRGC chief Hossein Salami, commander Ghulam-Ali Rashid, nuclear scientist Dr. Mohammad Tehranchi, nuclear scientist Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi and Iran's Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri. Hours later, Iran, under Operation True Promise III, responded with a barrage of missiles and drones that struck several Israeli cities and major population centers, including Tel Aviv. Both sides have launched devastating strikes on each other, causing significant damage to infrastructure and loss of civilian lives, even as world powers and global agencies, including the United Nations, have urged the two bitter enemies to exercise utmost restraint. According to various media reports, more than 240 people, including about top Iranian military officers and nuclear scientists, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes, while Iranian missile attacks have resulted in the deaths of more than 28 Israelis. Israeli air defense depleting rapidly According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Israel is running out of interceptors to intercept short-range missiles, and at the current rate, its ability to intercept and neutralize short-range ballistic missiles (SRMs) could last for around 10-12 days at best. Citing US officials, the report said that Israel may soon have to choose which missile to intercept and which one let through if Iran continues its ballistic missile attack at the current pace. Iran has an estimated stockpile of about 2,000 missiles, and while the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have claimed to have destroyed several Iranian missile sites and launchers, its believed that a majority of Iran's missiles are kept in classified underground installations that are extremely difficult to reach.

Israel destroyed Iran missiles in air, what is Israel's exoatmospheric interception which has left everyone in shock?

Israel's Arrow 3 intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile outside the earth's atmosphere, in what is called an exoatmospheric interception. (File) Israel-Iran war: Israel's multilayered air defense system, especially the Iron Dome, is already recognised as one of the best in the world, and now the Jewish state has achieved another stunning feat using its state-of-the-art Arrow 3 hypersonic anti-ballistic missile interceptor, reportedly intercepting an Iranian ballistic missile at an altitude of 100 kilometers. What is exoatmospheric interception? Exoatmospheric interception essentially means the capability to intercept aerial threats, including ballistic missiles and attack drones, beyond the earth's atmosphere or space, so that the debris burns up before falling to the ground, causing minimal or no damage. The Arrow 3, also known as the Hetz 3, is Israel's missile defense system, developed, funded, and produced jointly by Israel and the United States. Arrow 3 is described as an 'exoatmospheric hypersonic anti-ballistic missile' that has the capability to intercept ballistic missiles, including ICBM carrying conventional or nuclear warheads, outside the earth's atmosphere. The hypersonic anti-ballistic missile has divert motor capability, allowing its kill vehicle to switch directions with ease. The Arrow 3 missile, which has a flight range of up to 2,400 km, can also be used to take out enemy satellites as its equipped with sensors which allow to make a 90-degree turn to detect approaching satellites. Israel's famed air defense system Israel is known for its 'impenetrable', multi-layered air defense system, which includes its famous Iron Dome for intercepting short-range missiles and rockets, David's Sling for medium-range missiles, and the Arrow II and III systems, meant to intercept long-range ballistic missiles. In contrast, Iran's air defenses are much weaker compared to its nemesis, with the Bavar-373 (a domestic version of Russian S-300), being its main line of defense against aerial threats, which is augmented by the indigenously built Khordad-15 and Talash-3 system, all of whom pale in comparison to Israel's advanced aerial defense network. The Arrow 3 has been in service since 2017. Israel-Iran war Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles and attack drones on Israel following the latter's fiercest airstrikes on the Islamic nation on Friday that killed several top Iranian nuclear scientists and military commanders, including IRGC chief Hossein Salami, commander Ghulam-Ali Rashid, nuclear scientist Dr. Mohammad Tehranchi, nuclear scientist Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi and Iran's Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri. Since then, both sides have traded airstrikes and missile/drone attacks, causing extensive damage to each other's cities. On the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, Iran responded with a barrage of missiles and drones that struck several Israeli cities and major population centers, including Tel Aviv. Israel launched a fresh wave of strikes on Iran on Saturday, killing more of Iran's top military brass and nuclear scientists. Meanwhile, Israel, under its Operation Lion, conducted more airstrikes on Iran on early Saturday morning, killing more of Iran's top military brass and nuclear scientists. Israel also targeted Iran's oil refineries in a series of pre-dawn airstrikes on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Iran responded with another wave of missiles and drones that reportedly killed 10 Israeli civilians, and caused significant damage to infrastructure. However, the damage inflicted on Israel could have been far worse if not for its advanced, multi-layered air defense system, including the Arrow 3.

Israel-Iran war: What modifications did Israel add to F-35s that it used to attack Iran? These jets completed 4000 km round trip without mid-air refueling due to…

F-35I Adir (File) Israel-Iran war: Israel used its F-35I Adir stealth fighter jets to conduct waves of lethal airstrikes deep inside Iran, and experts are stunned how these fuel-guzzling 5th-generation warplanes completed a nearly 4000 km-long round trip without the need for refueling. According to a media report, the F-35I Adir– the custom variant of Lockheed's F-35 Lightning-II operated by the Israeli air force– incorporates several modifications that extend its operational range without requiring mid-air refueling . What modifications were made to the Israeli F-35s? Quoting two senior US officials on the condition of anonymity, Middle East Eye (MEE) reported that the F-35 which Israel used to attack Iran did not use mid-air refueling, nor land in any nearby country to refuel. While the modifications added to Israel's F-35 fleet are highly-classified, the MEE report, citing US officials, said that the stealth fighters have been modified to carry additional fuel, allowing these warplanes to fly long missions without requiring a refuel. The officials asserted that these custom modifications have not the affected the stealth capabilities of the F-35I Adir. Notably, Israel is the only country to fly a custom variant of the F-35. The US officials termed the F-35's performance in Iran a 'game changer', stating that the US had approved these modifications. 'This is a game changer. Israel had our cooperation in this modification.' The F-35 is the world's only long-range stealth fighter aircraft, equipped with advanced stealth capabilities, which makes it highly difficult for radar systems to track. World War 3 imminent as Iran-Israel war escalates? US official issues CHILLING warning, says current threat is...

(File) Iran-Israel war: The threat of a third World War has become more real than ever before as the Iran-Israel war escalated after Tehran launched retaliatory strikes on the Jewish state on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, causing widespread destruction in several Israeli cities and population centers, including Tel Aviv. World War 3 threat greater than ever before According to media reports, hours before Israel launched airstrikes on Iran earlier this week, a top US official had warned about the rising threat of World War 3 erupting across the globe. The US had prior knowledge of Israel's plans to launch attacks on Iran, and the official, who was likely privy to that information, had warned that the world was closer to a global war than ever before, describing the current threat of a world war as more dangerous and imminent than even the Cold War era, the Washington Post report. As per the Washington Post report, a senior US diplomat warned that a World War 3 threat is more pronounced and greater this time than in the past, stating that Israel's aggressive attack on Iran could push the Middle East into chaos. 'We are watching this and we are concerned. We think it is more serious than ever before,' the official was quoted as saying. He had also predicted that Iran would retaliate swiftly and warned that other countries could also get involved, turning the Iran-Israel war into a global military conflict, which could soon become out of control. Iran-Israel war: How Iran plans to retaliate against Israel's Operation Rising Lion? Potential targets include...

(File) Iran-Israel war: Iran suffered extensive damage in Sunday's air strikes by Israel that killed some of Tehran top nuclear scientists and military commanders, including, IRGC chief Hossein Salami, commander Ghulam-Ali Rashid, nuclear scientist Dr. Mohammad Tehranchi, nuclear scientist Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi and Iran's Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri. Tehran has vowed vengeance, stating that its response will be anything beyond what Israel and ally, the United States, could ever imagine, triggering the fears of a full-scale Iran-Israel war. But how would Iran actually retaliate on the ground? Let us take a look at some of the methods Iran could use to target Israel. Houthis and other proxies could engage Israel on multiple fronts Iran has an extensive network of proxies, including the Houthi rebels in Yemen, the Hezbollah armed group in Lebanon, Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, and several militia groups in Iraq. While these groups have been significantly weakened by Israeli forces in their military campaign launched after the October 7 Hamas attack in 2023, but they could still pose a major threat to the Jewish nation if Tehran directs them to attack Israel on multiple fronts. Iraqi militias have access to long-range attack drones, and have also allegedly received ballistic missiles from Iran in the last seven years, which could be used to attack Israel at Iran's behest, according to a report by the Jerusalem Post. The Houthis have ballistic missiles as well as cruise missiles and military drones. Iran's missile arsenal and kamikaze drones Iran has previously used ballistic missiles and suicide drones to attack Israel, and its missile arsenal is one of the largest in the world. Tehran's missile capability is regarded by many as its greatest military asset, with an arsenal of over 3000 advanced ballistic and cruise missiles, including hypersonic missiles that can reach Mach 5 speeds (five times the speed of sound). Iran's missile arsenal includes, Shahab-3 (2000 km range), Fateh-110 (300 km), Khaybar Shekan (1,450 km), and the Fattah hypersonic missile, which reportedly can reach speeds of up to Mach 5. According to experts, Iran has increase the range and capabilities of its missiles and drones in recent years, and could use them in unison to launch an attack that would overwhelm Israel's advanced, multi-layered air defense system. As per the report, Iran could use its Iraqi proxies to covertly move its missile systems and drones, and launch attacks on Israel from Iraq. Earlier, it was reported that Iran had launched more than 100 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones towards Israel in retaliation to the latter's airstrikes. Iranian Navy could block Persian Gulf Iran has a conventional navy and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy, which uses small ships and speed boats, and can be deployed from a larger mother ship to launch a swift strike on Israel. Meanwhile, Tehran could use the Iranian Navy to target mining vessels or commercial ships in the Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Oman, and also direct the Yemeni Houthis to Yemen to carry out similar attacks. The large portion of global cargo passes through the Gulf, and Iran could trigger a crisis by blocking the vital route to put pressure on Israel. Israelis in other countries could be targeted The report warned that Iran could use proxies like Hezbollah, Houthis and other armed militias to target Israeli citizens in other countries, including Turkey, Greece and Cyprus, South America, Europe and even parts of Asia. Iranian Army could target Israel's allies, US bases Iran has a fairly large standing army with 6 lakh active soldiers and about 3.5 lakh reserves. These numbers are distributed across the Iranian Army, Navy, Air Force, most importantly, the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). While the large distance between Iran and Israel means Tehran's ground forces cannot be mobilized for a ground assault on Israel, Iranian forces could target Israel's allies in the Middle East, and US military bases in the Persian Gulf or Iraq. Iran could leverage its diplomatic prowess Iran has invested heavily in diplomacy over the years, building close ties with Russia and China, and is one of the few countries that has good relations with both India and Pakistan. Tehran is also part of influential regional economic alliances like the BRICS and SCO, and could leverage its diplomatic strength to force Israel to stand down. Iran-Israel war On early Sunday morning, Israel launched its fiercest attack on Iran, unleashing a wave of air strikes on Iranian cities, including capital Tehran, under Operation Rising Lion, in which several top Iranian nuclear scientists and military commanders, including IRGC chief Hossein Salami, commander Ghulam-Ali Rashid, nuclear scientist Dr. Mohammad Tehranchi, nuclear scientist Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi and Iran's Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri. Tehran has vowed to avenge the Israeli attack, stating that its response will be anything beyond what Israel and ally, the United States, could ever imagine, triggering the fears of a full-scale Iran-Israel war.
