2 girls sexually assaulted at Goa birthday party, 3 arrested
Three minor girls who were invited to celebrate a birthday were allegedly sexually assaulted in North Goa's Bambolim, leading to the arrest of two men. The accused, identified as Altaf Mahboob Mujawar (19) and Om Vinay Naik (21), were taken into custody by the Agashi families of the victims filed a missing complaint on the night of June 8, saying that two girls, aged 13 and 15, had been missing since June 7. Around the same time, another complaint was lodged regarding the disappearance of a 11-year-old girl. Investigations revealed that all three girls had gone North Goa Superintendent of Police Rahul Gupta allegedly tried to keep the matter under wraps. However, once the news began surfacing in the media, he formed a special police team to trace the missing girls. Following the formation of the special team, the victims were traced to a hotel in the Calangute area. Police rescued the girls and detained two men present with them. During the investigation, the girls informed the police that they had gone to Calangute to celebrate a birthday. It was then discovered that the 15-year-old and the 11-year-old were sexually registered two separate cases under IPC Sections 137(2), 64(1), 74, 75(1), Section 8(2) of the Goa Children's Act, and Sections 4, 8, and 12 of the POCSO Act. The two men detained earlier were formally Wednesday night, the police also arrested the owner of the hotel where the incident occurred. Rajat Chavan, owner of Krishna Mahadev Hotel in Baga, was arrested by Calangute police for allowing the girls to enter the hotel without parental strict action, Rahul Gupta, Superintendent of Police, said, 'The police are applying for the sealing of the hotel and the cancellation of its license.' He added, 'If any man is given a room without the presence of their family members or relatives, hotel management and owners will not be spared. It is a violation of the Goa Children's Act.' 3 minor girls raped in Goa's Calangute; guest house owner, manager among 4 held
Police have arrested the owner and the manager of a guest house in North Goa district where three minor girls were allegedly raped by two men, taking the number of those held in the case to four, officials said on Thursday. The girls, aged 11, 13 and 15 and residents of the same building, were allegedly raped by two men at the guest house located in Calangute area on June 7 and 8. The five had checked-in at the guest house together, they said. The two older girls are sisters. The girls' parents filed complaints on June 8 that they had gone missing a day earlier. Police formed multiple teams, and rescued them on the same day from the guest house while arresting Altaf Mujawar (19) and Om Naik (21), an official earlier said. Two more persons - guest house owner Rajat Chauhan (31) and manager Mansoor Peer (35) - were arrested on Wednesday night, Superintendent of Police (North) Rahul Gupta told PTI on Thursday. They were arrested for accommodating the minor girls at the guest house without verification and consent of their parents, thus violating laws and abetting the crime, he said. All the four accused have been booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Goa Children's Act, the police said. "We are sealing the guest house and moving for cancellation of its license. The guest house management and owners will not be spared if they give room to a child in the absence of any family or relatives accompanying him or her," the SP said, cautioning all such facilities in the state.

Invited To Party, 3 Minor Girls Go Missing, Found Raped By Friends At Goa Hotel
Last Updated: Three men, including the owner of a hotel in North Goa, have been arrested in connection with the rape of three minor girls who were found at the hotel. Three people were arrested on charges of raping three girls at a hotel in Goa's North Goa district. The incident happened on June 8, and came to light after the parents of the girls filed a missing complaint with the police. The survivors were identified to be of 11, 13, and 15 years of age. Two of them were siblings. According to the police, the girls were friends with the accused and had gone to meet them after they were invited for a party. The parents of one of the survivors lived in a rented accommodation belonging to the parents of the siblings. They were rescued the same day from a hotel at Calangute beach after the police formed multiple teams to search for them. The police also arrested the accused, identified as Altaf (19) and Om (21). Later, in their statement, the girls told the police the two accused had sexually assaulted them at hotel rooms which they had booked for celebration. The men were booked for rape and abduction under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, and Goa Children's Act. Subsequently, the police also arrested the hotel owner after a First Information Report (FIR) was registered in the case, and questioned him on how the rooms were alloted to minor guests in the absence of their parents. In a shocking incident in Calangute, Goa, two men were arrested for allegedly raping three minor girls, aged 11 to 15, at a hotel. The accused, aged 19 and 21, had invited the girls under the pretext of celebrating Eid and a birthday. PANAJI: An invitation to celebrate Eid on Saturday turned into a nightmare for three minor girls aged 11 to 15 - including two sisters - who were raped at a Calangute hotel by two friends. Goa Police arrested both accused, aged 19 and 21. The hotel owner - Rajat Chauhan, a native of Haryana - was also arrested later in the day for allegedly allowing the minor girls to stay without verification and consent from their parents, thereby facilitating the crime. A few months ago, the 19-year-old accused befriended the 15-year-old girl on social media and began chatting with her. Last week, he invited her to celebrate Eid. The 15-year-old - whom cops described as the 19-year-old accused's 'girlfriend' - left home with her 13-year-old sister and an 11-year-old friend on Saturday to meet the prime accused. The prime accused and his friend (21) booked a room at a Calangute hotel, where the duo checked in with the three minors to stay overnight and celebrate the 15-year-old girl's birthday by cutting a cake. Police seal hotel, arrest owner, will cancel licence too Thereafter, the prime accused allegedly raped his 'girlfriend' while his friend raped the other two minors, repeatedly. North Goa SP Rahul Gupta said cops received a complaint from the 15-year-old girl's family alleging that the minor sisters had left their residence on Saturday and did not return. Meanwhile, the 11-year-old girl's kin filed another complaint, alleging that their minor daughter was missing, and they suspected that she may have gone out with the daughters of the first complainant. 'After meticulous efforts and after developing the information through reliable human sources and technical sources, all three minor survivors were rescued from a hotel in Calangute. Two men present with them were apprehended and brought to the police station. During the inquiry at the hotel, it was revealed that the accused checked into two different hotel rooms,' said SP Gupta. Goa police filed two separate FIRs in the case. 'During the investigation, both accused were arrested,' SP Gupta said. Calangute police booked hotel owner Chauhan and hotel manager/receptionist Mansoor Shafi Peer, a native of J&K, for allegedly abetting the crime. 'We are sealing the hotel and moving for the cancellation of its licence,' SP Gupta said, adding that hotel management and owners will not be spared if they give a room to a child in the absence of any family or relatives accompanying him/her. 'This is in violation of Goa Children's Act. If any such violation is noticed in the future too, strict action will be taken,' he said.
