The pair have been nominated alongside Motherwell's Lennon Miller and Hearts forward James Wilson Kilmarnock's Scotland under-21 pair Bobby Wales and David Watson have been shortlisted for the Scottish Football Writers' Association Young Player of the Year award. The duo have impressed this term and have made the four-man shortlist alongside Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller and Hearts striker James Wilson. Wales looks set to bring his time at Kilmarnock to an end after being offered a four-year deal by Swansea City with the 19-year-old out of contract in the summer. He's bagged five goals in 32 appearances this term, including a wonderful first touch and finish against St Johnstone to win the Goal of the Month award in February. His club and international team-mate Watson is the reigning holder of the title but hasn't perhaps quite hit the same heights as last term. The winner will be announced on Sunday, May 18.

📊 Alexis Mac Allister's stunner shows improvement since Brighton 🚀
Alexis Mac Allister has endeared himself to Liverpool supporters since arriving from Brighton, and his goal today against Fulham will go a long way to adding further credit to his Argentine international produced a moment of real quality to open the scoring for Arne Slot's side at Craven Cottage as they take on Fulham, powering his way beyond a towering Sander Berge in the process. After picking up a loose ball just outside the centre circle, Mac Allister drove just into the final third while holding off the big Norwegian before unleashing an unstoppable drive beyond Bernd Leno. The German shot-stopper was left with no chance, and with that, Mac Allister bagged his ninth goal for Liverpool, three of which have come from long-range. Three of Alexis Mac Allister's nine Premier League goals for Liverpool have now come from outside the box. That's as many as he scored for Brighton (3/16). 🚀#FULLIV — Squawka Live (@Squawka_Live) April 6, 2025 That betters his previous ratio of three out of 16 during his Brighton days, and though Fulham would go on to take the lead after goals from Ryan Sessegnon and Alex Iwobi, that strike will surely be a contender for Goal of the Month. 📸 HENRY NICHOLLS - AFP or licensors
