Sunday Brunch host Tim Lovejoy unveils unrecognisable dreadlock hair style

Sunday Brunch host Tim Lovejoy is known for his clean-shaved look but the presenter once stunned viewers after revealing that wasn't always the case. Sunday Brunch host Tim Lovejoy once left viewers gobsmacked when he revealed that he used to sport a full head of dreadlocks, a far cry from his current clean-cut image. The revelation came during an episode of the Channel 4 show in 2017, where Tim even shared a throwback photo showcasing his abundant dreadlocks. ‌ Hair became the hot topic while Tim was conversing with that day's guest, Louisa Johnson, who won the X Factor in 2015. It was then that Tim dropped the bombshell about his past hairdo. ‌ "I did used to have dreadlocks," he admitted. The confession drew a surprised response from fashion expert Gok Wan, who couldn't contain his disbelief: "Did you really? Shut up!" Despite Gok's playful command for silence, Tim promised to dig out a photograph to prove his former look, as reported by the Mirror. ‌ Gok was visibly taken aback and delighted when he saw the old picture of Tim's dreadlocks on display. He commented: "I love it! Honestly! I really like it. I love it. You've got a good bone structure for it. We need to get you a wig. We need to get you a weave!" Tim jokingly agreed with Gok's excitement, quipping: "When I have my showbiz hair transplant I'll get it done again." ‌ Previously, Tim has been candid about his thinning hair and even went bald to support Macmillan's Brave The Shave campaign, which encourages people to shave their heads to raise funds. During a candid chat with Lloyd Griffith last year, Tim opened up about his attempts to make his hair appear fuller. ‌ He admitted: "I saw someone use it in makeup one time, I started using that powder, the powder to just thicken it up a bit. But then it's like 'What am I doing?'" The presenter has been quite forthcoming about discussing his hair thinning over time. A viewer once questioned on X: "Tim, when did you start losing your hair? My son is 21 and distraught as he is losing fast. Did you investigate any of the procedures available? I feel for him as it's denting his confidence." To which Tim responded empathetically, "Whether we like it or not, it's tough. The problem with procedures is that once you're in, you have to keep going. This is why I didn't go through with the transplant. The only real advice is to go short and own it. It took me a while."

Gok Wan shares health update and says he is 'learning to understand' condition

God Wan took to social media to try to help others as he admits he is still coming to terms with a health diagnosis he received a couple of years ago Gok Wan has admitted he is still coming to terms with a health diagnosis he received a few years ago. The fashion guru-turned-DJ was told he had ADHD and he has confessed it is still taking some getting his head around. However, in a bid to help others who have the condition, the 50-year-old star took to social media to share a message of support. Uploading an article he had found helpful and interesting, Gok shared a post surrounding dealing with grief when you have ADHD, which stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. According to the NHS, the condition makes the brain work differently to most people. Symptoms include being easily distracted, finding it hard to listen to what people are saying or to follow instructions, and forgetting everyday tasks, such as brushing teeth or putting on socks. In Gok's post, he said: "'Ive not really spoken about my ADHD as it's still something I'm learning to understand as I was diagnosed only a couple of years ago. "Anyway, this morning I read an interesting article about GRIEF (which took me f***ing forever - ADHD fam, IYKYK lol)… for anyone with ADHD and is grieving, this article may help." He then shared a link to the article on the Mini ADHD Coach website. And fans were grateful for his post. Among those sharing the gratitude was internet personality Steven Carter-Bailey who wrote: "Thanks, sweetheart xx," with a love heart emoji. Another user penned: "Grief is hard for everyone but when you can't quite process it in the same way as others it becomes more than just grief… xx hugs," while a third added: "My daughter has ADHD - knew there was a reason I can relate to you so much. You are wonderful." Last year the TV host opened up on how he almost didn't make it into his career in fashion . Instead, he claimed he was "really interested" in economics. Speaking to the Mirror in December, Gok confessed he had "always fantasised" of working in finance or in the City. The How To Look Good Naked star said: "I wanted a career change. "And I always fantasised about the idea of working in finance or working in the City. I know, it sounds bizarre. But I'm really interested in economics. I think I probably could have done it.' And he also revealed how losing a pal to breast cancer made him treat life "like a daily bucket list". He went on to admit that his life's path hasn't taken him on the route he had initially envisaged. Gok, who is single, previously revealed how he was hopeful he would be a father before he turned 45. However, he admits that his path may not feature parenthood: 'My paternal need was never strong enough. It was only ever the fear of missing out," he said. 'I did think, 'Am I going to regret this?' I might still. I've kind of come to terms with the idea. I have to be confident enough to know it's not right for me right now.'

"It's got to be about comfort, you're going off to a wedding. You're going to be doing everything from dancing, sitting, standing... A pyjama suit is very on trend at the moment," Gok explained. ‌ Kate's outfit on GMB caught viewers' attention this morning, sparking a flurry of social media posts as ITV fans noticed the connection. One viewer pointed out on X (formerly Twitter): "Kate's outfit is the one Gok dressed one of his makeover models in on This Morning yesterday!" I'm a grief expert, here's how Scots could get time off work when a pet dies

PAWS FOR THOUGHT I'm a grief expert, here's how Scots could get time off work when a pet dies DJ and fashion expert Gok Wan was absent from the airwaves earlier this week after he was left devastated following the death of his beloved dog Dolly. The Magic Radio host took the day off to mourn the loss of the French Bulldog, who he'd had for more than 13 years. 3 The telly star took a day off work to mourn his beloved pet 3 Gok was devastated by the death of Dolly 3 Lisa Hague is a grief coach Taking to social media he wrote: 'I am utterly heartbroken and devastated that it's your time to go to the park in the stars.' Fellow show hosts told listeners they were unsure if the star would return to the mic today. And a grief expert says it's totally understandable that Gok would feel unfit to work due to the bereavement. Now Lisa Hague, who coaches people after loss, reckons compassionate leave after the death of a pet should be written into law. Lisa said: 'He's absolutely broken with grief - his pet was more than just an animal to him, it was part of his family.' At the moment, there are set laws in Scotland for the loss of a child. But other bereavement leave is at the discretion of an employer. And while some managers may be sympathetic over the death of a relative, there are many who may not be so supportive when it comes to a cat or dog. But Lisa, who's married to ex Celtic star Kris Commons, says for many Scots, their pets are the closest thing they have to family. She explained: 'The definition of grief is that your life is altered from the way that it normally is, it's a change to life as the way that you know it. 'When a child dies, a baby dies, grandad dies, people have sympathy towards that. But if a pet dies, and if you're not super pet friendly, then it becomes 'oh it's just a dog', it's not taken seriously. 'But everyone's relationship to their pet is unique and, for some people, it's so much more than an animal, it's emotional support. 'I don't know if Gok's got a partner at the minute, but if it was him and his dog on his own that's a major part of his life.' Lisa, who has helped people through grief since her daughter Lola was stillborn in 2008, said a pet can form a big part of someone's daily routine, which means their loss can leave them feeling totally bereft and alone. She said: 'Getting up, walking the dog, feeding the dog, coming in from work, having that love and support there, walking the dog again before bed - it all forms part of a person's routine. 'So all of a sudden you're left with idle hands and a broken heart.' Mum-of-three Lisa says the time you get off is a lottery, depending on how sympathetic your boss is. But, while she acknowledges the rules could be open to abuse, employee rights are always simpler if they're written into law. She said: 'I do get that we have to ask, where do we draw the line? When does it go from dog to cat to hamster to fish, in terms of having? But dogs and cats are different, they do offer emotional support. 'And then there's how to police it - would you have to disclose if you have pets as soon as you start a job. Or if you then buy a pet, do you say in case something happens? Or do we just take our employees as being the loyal members of staff that we hope we've employed and trust them? 'I know a lady who's got a dog, who hasn't been able to have children and that dog is her world. If it died then that would be devastating for her. 'So in the end, I do think people should be allowed a day off, it should be written into practice and then owners can choose if they need that time.' LAW CHANGE IN most countries, bereavement leave for an animal is allowed at the discretion of an employer. But in Colombia a bill was proposed by the country's Liberal Party to grant workers two days of paid leave to mourn the loss of a pet. The legislation was brought in by politician Alejandro Carlos Chacon who said the rules would reflect how deep a bond someone can have with a pet, especially for those who don't have kids. He also said the law would benefit employers as workers would be able to adequately deal with their grief without being distracted by work and be able to come back refreshed. And if you are struggling after the loss of a pet, Lisa offered some advice for dealing with grief. She says: 'Put in place some healthy distractions. And work on being able to talk to people who get it because there's nothing worse than somebody saying 'it's just a dog' or 'at least it wasn't a family member'. 'I had it a lot of 'at leasts' after Lola died, and she was a baby. So make sure you have a support network of people who understand.'
