SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Municipal Band performs a free concert. The performance is at 8 p.m. in the Terrace Park band shell. The municipal band will perform free weekly concerts through July. The Summer Concert Series at Good Earth State Park in Sioux Falls features the Back Alley Band. The concert starts at 4 p.m. A park entrance license is required. It's opening weekend for the City of Sioux Falls outdoor pools and aquatic centers. They're located at Drake Springs, Frank Olson, Kuehn, Laurel Oak and Terrace parks. Open swimming will go from 1 to 5 in the afternoons and 6:30 to 8 in the evenings. Splash pads at Hayward and Pioneer parks are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wild Water West is also open for the season. The water park west of Sioux Falls features a tornado alley, the Black Hole and a wave pool. The hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. American Legion Post 15 in Sioux Falls is hosting an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast. Serving time is 8:30 a.m. to noon at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance. You're invited to play Pokémon and win prizes at the Game Chest in Sioux Falls. The hours are 12:30 to 5 p.m. All ages are welcome and it's free to play. Movies playing at the historic State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls include The Bad News Bears, rated PG and Twisters, rated PG-13. The Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium at the Washington Pavilion features T-Rex, Mars: The Ultimate Voyage and 3-2-1 Liftoff. New movie releases playing at a theater near you include Karate Kid Legends, rated PG-13 and Bring Her Back, rated R. Enjoy a night of Sprint Car racing in at Huset's Speedway in Brandon. SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — This is the final day to take advantage of the Free Fishing Weekend at all South Dakota state parks and recreation areas. No fishing licenses are required, but regulations and limits still apply. Entrance fees are also waived for the day. Camping fees still apply. Good Earth State Park's Summer Concert Series features Kevin Ryan. The free concert goes from 4-6 p.m. More than 60 new homes in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas are opening their doors to the public today as part of the Spring Parade of Homes. There's a $5 fee to see the two feature homes, otherwise all the other homes are free to see. The hours are 1-5 p.m. VFW Post 628 in Sioux Falls is hosting its monthly All-You-Can Eat Pancake Breakfast. Serving time is 8:30 a.m. to noon at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance. The cost is $8 for adults, $2 for children. Fun & Friends is hosting a sensory-friendly LEGO event for children 8-years and up. It's taking place at the Caille Library in Sioux Falls from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. All LEGOs will be provided. Buy, sell or swap coins, currency, stamps and sports cards at the Midwest Gold & Silver Coin Show. It's taking place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. BRANDON, SD (KELO) — The green flag drops on racing season at Huset's Speedway in Brandon. The Mother's Day Opener includes sprint car and late-model street stocks. Gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. The races start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, $10 for students and free for ages 12 and under. The Summer Concert Series kicks off at Good Earth State Park in Sioux Falls. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy music by Tom Watson from 4-6 p.m. The concert is free, but a park entrance license is required. Joah's Ark, a Minnesota-based petting zoo, is making a special trip into South Dakota to showcase its animals. You'll find a menagerie of bottle lambs, fainting goats, mini-horses, donkeys, prairie dogs and a potbelly pig. The location is 48258 265th Street, south of Brandon. The hours are 1-5 p.m. Admission is free. Open indoor skating at the SCHEELS IcePlex in Sioux Falls goes from 2-4 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children. Skate rentals are $4. Who needs a beach when you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls? Today's hours are noon to 5 p.m. The Westside Recreation Center off Ellis Road in Sioux Falls also features a pool along with workout areas and a play area for kids. Today's hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summer hours are now in effect at the Sioux Falls Zoo & Aquarium. The zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The zoo's splash pad is already up and running for the summer. The Butterfly House & Aquarium is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Crossthreads Fiber Guild is hosting Fiber Fun at the Old Courthouse Museum in downtown Sioux Falls.
