Parvatipuram to be developed as a model municipality: MLA
Telugu Desam Party MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra announced on Wednesday that the State government is keen to transform Parvatipuram, into a model municipality in the next couple of years by enhancing civic amenities across all wards.
He said: 'I will urge Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Ponguru Narayana to sanction additional funds for the development of Parvatipuram, which serves as the district headquarters for the newly formed Parvatipuram-Manyam district.'
As part of the 'Good Morning Parvatipuram' programme the MLA visited the 11th and 12th wards and engaged with local residents who shared their concerns.
The MLA instructed Municipal Commissioner Venkateswarulu to ensure all wards in Parvatipuram have proper drainage, CC roads and drinking water facilities in place. He criticised the previous YSRCP government for neglecting the town's development for many years.
