Notre Dame football offers 4-star 2026 Texas wide receiver
Notre Dame football offers 4-star 2026 Texas wide receiver One of Notre Dame football's top wide receiver 2026 recruits was taken off the board last week in Gordon Sellars, who committed to Clemson late last week. While the Irish had to rework their recruiting board over the weekend, they found another prospect that fits what they are looking for in Texas' Jayden Warren, who was offered a scholarship on Monday. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 195-pound pass catcher is ranked as a 4-star prospect, the nation's No. 132 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. While Warren does have a few official visits scheduled, it's not similar to the Sellars' situation, where he's looking to make his verbal soon. Warren has yet to decided on a commitment date, so there is plenty of time for Notre Dame to make a move in his recruitment. The Irish are currently trying to make ground on teams like Nebraska, Oklahoma and TCU, which seems like a task they can achieve. Warren's recruitment is one to monitor, and if he makes it to campus soon, it would be looking good for the Blue and Gold.

Social media reacts to Clemson landing 4-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars
Social media reacts to Clemson landing 4-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars Clemson's 2026 recruiting class just got another boost with the addition of a top offensive target. Four-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars out of Providence Day School (Charlotte, NC) gave his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Friday during an emotional ceremony at his high school. He chose Clemson over a list of finalists that included South Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, and North Carolina A&T. Sellars has been a top Clemson target since the Tigers offered him last September during an unofficial visit. He returned for the rivalry game against South Carolina, took part in the Elite Retreat last month, and was back in town again for the spring game two weeks ago. Other spring visits included trips to Ohio State, Michigan, and South Carolina, along with a stop at Notre Dame on Tuesday after the Irish extended an offer last week. Recruiting services are high on the 6-foot-2 wideout. ESPN gives him his highest mark, ranking him No. 144 overall and No. 25 at his position. He's also the No. 9 player in North Carolina. The 247Sports Composite ranks Sellars as the No. 207 national prospect and No. 31 wide receiver, while On3's Industry Ranking puts him at No. 227 overall. Sellars is the 14th commitment in Clemson's 2026 class, which continues to sit comfortably inside the Top 5 nationally. He's the third wide receiver in the group, joining fellow four-stars Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin, who both committed during the Elite Retreat weekend. Sellars is expected to be the final wideout take in this cycle. Four-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars, a standout at Providence Day School in Charlotte, announced his commitment to the Tigers on Friday during a heartfelt ceremony at his high school. He chose Clemson over South Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, and North Carolina A&T. Sellars' highest ranking comes from ESPN, which lists him at No. 144 overall and No. 25 among wide receivers. He's also ranked No. 9 in North Carolina. In the 247Sports Composite, he comes in as the No. 207 national prospect and No. 31 wide receiver. On3's Industry Ranking puts him at No. 227 nationally. Notre Dame misses out on four-star wide receiver
Notre Dame misses out on four-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars choses the Tigers over the Fighting Irish, despite offer from Notre Dame. Notre Dame has missed out on four-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars, who has chosen to commit to Clemson. The Fighting Irish had made Sellars an offer after he visited South Bend, but he still chose the Tigers over Notre Dame. Other schools in the mix included Michigan, Ohio State and South Carolina. Sellars is 6'2", 180 pounds and he had 50 receptions and 10 touchdowns in the 2024-2025 season. He averaged 88.6 yards per game. The North Carolina native was widely seen as being most likely to chose Clemson, but even if the Irish were too late -- Sellars had said he'd commit this week -- perhaps the Notre Dame offer could lead to a flip further down the line. Notre Dame football offers 4-star 2026 North Carolina wide receiver
Notre Dame football offers 4-star 2026 North Carolina wide receiver Notre Dame football is constantly looking to add elite prospects to its roster through recruiting, but its most recent offer to North Carolina 4-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars might be too late. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 180-pound prospect has set a commitment date for a little over a week from today, but that didn't stop the Irish from trying to disrupt his recruitment. The main players look to be Michigan, Georgia, South Carolina and Clemson for the nation's No. 204 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Sellars has three 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, and each of them is for the rival Tigers. It very well could be too late for Notre Dame to convince him to join its 2026 class, but he could be a flip candidate down the road, so the offer might have an impact later in the cycle.
