Emmad Irfani calls 'Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum' a career high
On Thursday night, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum actor Emmad Irfani appeared on a talk show with host Waseem Badami and was candid, calm, and composed, especially when the conversation steered towards co-star Naeema Butt's recent comments about the hit drama. "I don't know what her experience was like," Emmad said. "For me, Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum was the highlight of my career. Whether it was Javed Sheikh, Bushra Ansari, Fahad Mustafawho I was playing brothers withour relationship began to resemble sibling relationships on and off-screen." Emmad's words contrasted with the revelation shared by onscreen wife Naeema, who played the fierce and layered Rubab in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. In a separate television appearance, Naeema had given her scathing views of the industry's "fake friendships" and lamented that her experience behind the scenes didn't match the warmth displayed online. However, Emmad offered a different and more diplomatic perspective about the obstacles within the entertainment industry. "Every person has insecurities and fears. Our life's goal should be to overcome them," he explained. Quick to note that this was a very personal view, the actor added, "I can't speak on behalf of anyone else. I can only speak for myself." As for his experiences on the series itself, Emmad had nothing but praise for his colleagues and the material he was given to work with. "I had very challenging scenes with Hania Aamir and Naeema," he recalled, "But if someone asked if I would do it all over again, I absolutely would." Naeema would disagree During an appearance on Gup Shab earlier in the week, Naeema had struck a very different tone and did not appear to share Emmad's wholesome views of the entertainment industry. Opening up about what she described as the "not-so-glamorous side of stardom," she shared that much of the camaraderie audiences see between actors on Instagram was, in her words, "fake." "I have seen that people are just being fake friends for Instagramor at least that is what my experience was," Naeema remarked. She admitted to having naively believed the online support from her co-stars was genuine, only to feel sidelined during public appearances. "Some were actively trying to push me off the stage," she added with a half-laugh, half-grimace. Naeema stopped short of naming names, but the implications were clear. And with fans already speculating about behind-the-scenes drama, her remarks only fanned the flames. Despite the murky off-screen drama, Naeema's performance as Rubab remains a fan favourite, and her honesty has only earned her more respect. Online reactions have largely sided with her for being bold enough to speak out, especially as a newer entrant into an industry known for maintaining glossy veneers. Other cast members, including Bushra and Hania, have not yet responded publicly to the growing conversation, though Hania previously praised Naeema's performance in an Instagram story during the drama's peak run. Whether or not Naeema's experience was an isolated one or part of a larger pattern within the industry, her comments have clearly opened up a deeper conversation about what authenticity looks like behind the lights and camera. As Emmad put it, perhaps each actor's truth is differentand both can coexist, even if uncomfortably. What's clear is that Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum didn't just leave an impression on audiences but left a legacy of questions behind the scenes too.

Naeema Butt gets candid on fake friendships in the industry, calls out 'Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum' co-stars
Actress Naeema Butt, who won hearts with her bold and intense portrayal of Rubab in the hit drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, is opening up about the not-so-glamorous side of stardom. In a refreshingly honest interview on Gup Shab hosted by Vasay Chaudhry, Naeema spoke about the superficial friendships that often dominate the entertainment industry and subtly called out her co-stars from Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum for playing nice on social media while allegedly acting differently in real life. The actress, whose character became a breakout favorite in the show, revealed that much of the camaraderie audiences see between actors online isn't as genuine as it seems. 'I have seen that people are just being fake friends for Instagram or at least that is what my experience was regarding the industry's inner working,' she said candidly. Butt thought the love she was receiving on social media from her co-actors was support and appreciation as someone who is still a new comer and has not worked in as many dramas as her peers, but ultimately she said she was wrong to naively assume such a thing. While Naeema did not name names, her comments strongly hinted at tension with fellow cast members, adding fuel to already circulating fan speculation. She claimed that during public events, some of her co-stars who appeared friendly in Instagram posts were actively trying to 'push her off the stage'. Her message was clear: don't believe every 'friendship goals' photo you see. 'A lot of things happened but I don't want to get into it,' Naeema said, choosing to keep details private while still addressing the issue. Joining the conversation, Vasay Chaudhry reassured Naeema that this behavior is unfortunately common, especially for newer faces in the industry. He noted that this competitive energy and underlying rivalry doesn't necessarily go away with time. 'This competitiveness lingers between co-actors and contemporaries even if you have been in the business for 10 to 15 years,' Vasay explained. Despite the rocky off-screen dynamics, Naeema Butt continues to receive massive admiration from fans, particularly for her unapologetic screen presence as Rubab. Her honesty in addressing industry culture has sparked an important conversation online, with fans applauding her transparency. While the drama may have ended on-screen, the real-life plot behind the scenes just got a whole lot more interesting—and real.

Vaneeza Ahmed clarifies old comments involving Ayeza
During an interview on Gup Shab with Vasay Chaudhry, model and actor Vaneeza Ahmed was asked if she likes taking her own photos, which took her back to an old controversy involving remarks on celebrities' social media presence. "Last time I answered this question, I got into so much trouble," she began. Recalling a 2022 interview with Naumaan Ijaz, she said, "I said then that I'm from a time when other people used to take our photos. We weren't used to taking our own photos. And I'm not the type of person to have an obsession with myself." She reminisced about her time on the set of Kuch Ankahi, where she came across co-star Mira Sethi impersonating an animal on TikTok. This led to Vaneeza confessing that, a few years ago, she couldn't even tell the difference between TikTok and Instagram or reels and Stories. She then segued into discussing the profile of a "model-actress" that she came across back then. "Her name began with an 'A'. I didn't know who she was, and she had over 11 million followers. Naumaan chimed in and told me it was Ayeza Khan. Now, I know who Ayeza is. I wasn't even talking about her. But soon after, her 11 million followers became my haters. They thought I was criticising her, even though I hadn't even mentioned her." Back in October 2022, Vaneeza along with Adeel Husain made an appearance on the talk show G Sarkar, where she raised objections over how showbiz personalities manage their social media accounts. While speaking about her own online presence, she said, "Do you think we're the kind of people who'd take selfies all the time? I think it's a hassle to document what you're eating, what you're drinking, and what you're doing." The Ehde Wafa actor then critiqued an actor whose name she could not remember. "I went to her profile to see what big achievements she has to have that kind of following." However, what Vaneeza saw on the profile disappointed her. "Just pictures of that woman, nothing else. Where is your contribution, that's what matters. So what if you have 12 million followers?" When questioned about the number of followers she has, Vaneeza admitted that she doesn't even remember. Her Instagram is mostly handled by her niece and when the model does take control, she ends up posting a quote or verse that she'd like to share with her audience.

Zahid Ahmed weighs understanding over love
During an interview on Gup Shab with Vasay Chaudhry, Zahid Ahmed discussed his pre-showbiz marriage, which is going strong to this date. The actor was quick to declare that even if he had the option to tie the knot now as an actor, he wouldn't change a thing about his current romantic life. The Jaan Se Pyara Juni actor married Amna Zahid 14 years ago, back when he wasn't as financially stable as he is now. "Whoever would have married me now would have married the well-off actor Zahid Ahmed. My wife married me when I was broke. Everything we have made, we built it together," he said. Sharing his views on love marriage versus arranged marriage, he said, "Look, love doesn't stay for long. The relationship requires your understanding and a lot of compromise. When you decide to share your life, be it your house, your routine, your room, your money, or your car, you are extending what belongs to you to someone else. So, yes. That requires understanding. Love tends to expire after a while." He further observed, "But I believe that this is what real love is: spending your life with this person in consideration of both individuals' strengths and weaknesses, along with your dreams and theirs. It's all about striking a balance." Zahid has maintained this stance over the years. While speaking about his family in a different interview back in 2021, he expressed contentment over entering the world of showbiz as a married man. "I was married when I got into the industry, and when a man's married life is settled, he is more focused on his work," he said. The admiration goes both ways. Earlier the same year, Amna penned a heartfelt note on Instagram to appreciate her husband's win at the Lux Style Awards 2020. "Our journey has been quite eventful to say the least. Some loss, some pain but extraordinary learning; some struggle, some mistakes, but lots of honesty," she wrote. "I am only grateful to my Allah for where Zahid is today as a professional and more so as an individual. His ways are truly magical. He sends ease with every hardship. We've been lucky to have found ease in our hardships." Dialing back to her fondness for Zahid, she added, "I am indeed blessed to have you in my life and really, really proud of your accomplishments. May you always remain humble, stay authentic, stay true to your craft, stay focused, and may your faith grow even stronger that it lights up the world. Ameen."

Mehmood Aslam talks love and marriage
In a recent appearance on chat show Gup Shab, veteran actor Mehmood Aslam shared his candid views on love and relationships. He stated that a person can fall in love multiple times and admitted to experiencing this himself. The actor elaborated, "In your youth, when you're fifteen or sixteen, you basically just have crushes. You're not in love." Aslam said he personally does not believe in the concept of "ishq" as an all-consuming force. He said, "It's not love, it's attachment." The proof of this theory, according to him, is that, "You stay six months away from someone - even children or siblings - and the attachment begins to wane. The more you spend time with someone, the more attached you feel to them." The Bulbulay actor also made a surprising revelation about his personal life. He disclosed, "I married twice and both times for love." Unlike many in the industry who shy away from discussing their personal lives, Aslam openly shared that both his marriages were love marriages. His second wife, actor Amber Nosheen, is a well-known figure in the industry, and the couple shares two daughters. Aslam has openly discussed the challenges faced by the Pakistani entertainment industry. In an interview last year, he highlighted that the limited number of writers, actors, and directors, coupled with time constraints, adversely affects the quality of TV dramas. He noted that there are only about ten to twelve TV stars who are under significant pressure, often moving from one set to another without adequate time to dedicate to their roles. Aslam also reflected on the past when writers had more time to craft scripts, contrasting it with the current frenetic pace of production. Beyond his acting career, Aslam has been vocal about his concerns for Pakistan's future. In an emotional interview with Adnan Faisal last year, he expressed disappointment over the country's current trajectory, "We go around beating drums that Pakistan is this or that. But if you look at the country's position right now, what are we rejoicing at? Look at your passport. Wherever you go in the world, they push you to the back and treat you horribly." He recalled a time when the nation commanded greater admiration, highlighting the stark contrast with today's reality. Despite having the means to relocate, Aslam has chosen to remain in Pakistan, emphasising that, "This is my country, my land. [This is] where my roots are."
