Zahid Ahmed weighs understanding over love
The Jaan Se Pyara Juni actor married Amna Zahid 14 years ago, back when he wasn't as financially stable as he is now. "Whoever would have married me now would have married the well-off actor Zahid Ahmed. My wife married me when I was broke. Everything we have made, we built it together," he said.
Sharing his views on love marriage versus arranged marriage, he said, "Look, love doesn't stay for long. The relationship requires your understanding and a lot of compromise. When you decide to share your life, be it your house, your routine, your room, your money, or your car, you are extending what belongs to you to someone else. So, yes. That requires understanding. Love tends to expire after a while."
He further observed, "But I believe that this is what real love is: spending your life with this person in consideration of both individuals' strengths and weaknesses, along with your dreams and theirs. It's all about striking a balance."
Zahid has maintained this stance over the years. While speaking about his family in a different interview back in 2021, he expressed contentment over entering the world of showbiz as a married man. "I was married when I got into the industry, and when a man's married life is settled, he is more focused on his work," he said.
The admiration goes both ways. Earlier the same year, Amna penned a heartfelt note on Instagram to appreciate her husband's win at the Lux Style Awards 2020.
"Our journey has been quite eventful to say the least. Some loss, some pain but extraordinary learning; some struggle, some mistakes, but lots of honesty," she wrote. "I am only grateful to my Allah for where Zahid is today as a professional and more so as an individual. His ways are truly magical. He sends ease with every hardship. We've been lucky to have found ease in our hardships."
Dialing back to her fondness for Zahid, she added, "I am indeed blessed to have you in my life and really, really proud of your accomplishments. May you always remain humble, stay authentic, stay true to your craft, stay focused, and may your faith grow even stronger that it lights up the world. Ameen."

Cardi B announces new single ‘Imaginary Players' ahead of long-awaited sophomore album
Cardi B has officially announced the release of her next single, 'Imaginary Players,' set to drop this Friday, August 15. The rapper shared the news on Instagram with a bold promotional image featuring her in pink hair, draped in a white fur coat and posing in front of a white Rolls Royce. 'Just a lil taste of the drama. IMAGINARY PLAYERS THIS FRIDAY,' she wrote in the caption. The track will be part of her upcoming sophomore album Am I the Drama?, which is slated for release on September 19 via Atlantic Records. This marks her first full-length project since 2018's Invasion of Privacy, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, and later made history as the first album by a female rapper to have all tracks certified platinum or higher by the RIAA. 'Imaginary Players' follows the success of her recent single 'Outside,' which topped both the Rhythmic Airplay and Rap Airplay charts earlier this month. It also entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 10, becoming Cardi B's 13th top 10 hit. In addition to 'Imaginary Players' and 'Outside,' the new album will include her chart-topping collaborations 'WAP' with Megan Thee Stallion and 'Up.' Addressing criticism about including previously released singles, Cardi wrote on X (formerly Twitter), 'WAP and Up are two of my biggest songs… my fans have been asking me to put them on an album… they deserve a home.' Am I the Drama? has been in the making for seven years and is one of the most anticipated hip-hop releases of 2024. With her signature style and bold visuals, Cardi B promises to bring more drama, energy, and chart-topping hits to fans worldwide.
