At the time, she was working at HMP Lindholme in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
Winstanley appeared at Doncaster Magistrates' Court charged with to misconduct in a public office over a three-month period.
She is also accused of conspiring to sneak in phone memory cards with Jabhari Blair, who knifed two men in a brawl, Mail Online reports.
A further charge states she took a photograph inside HMP Ranby, Nottinghamshire without permission.
Winstanley also allegedly smuggled in a mobile phone to category C HMP Lindholme.
She indicated guilty pleas to the charges, which allegedly took place between August 2022 and April 2023.
Winstanley will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on September 11 to formally enter pleas.
Blair also appeared at the same court charged with illicitly possessing an iPhone and USB stick while at HMP Lindholme.
He is also accused of conspiring with Winstanley to convey SD cards into the prison.
He was jailed for 12 years and four months in December 2014 for his role in a mass brawl in Bradford that saw victims stabbed, kicked, punched and stamped on.
It comes after prison officer Megann Gibson yesterday appeared in court after having phone sex with an inmate.
The 26-year-old embarked on an illicit relationship with the lag while working at HM Prison Wealstun in West Yorkshire.
Gibson also sent his mum more than 900 messages in an apparent bid to keep in touch with the inmate.
