Muscat – Oman is showcasing its tourism sector at the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT), which began on Tuesday with the participation of ten Omani tourism companies. The three-day event, one of the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe, brings together tourism professionals from around the world to explore industry developments and expand business networks. Haitham bin Mohammed al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasised the significance of Oman's participation in global tourism exhibitions. 'The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism aims to enhance Oman's presence at major international platforms like MITT, presenting the latest developments in our tourism sector and fostering collaboration with international tourism companies,' he said. MITT serves as a key platform for international partnerships, connecting travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and service providers. It also features seminars and workshops on emerging tourism trends and innovations. Oman's pavilion at the exhibition highlights the country's rich cultural heritage through advanced technology, offering an interactive experience for visitors. The pavilion aims to attract global industry players and strengthen Oman's position in international tourism markets. The ministry's objectives include increasing Oman's visibility, promoting key attractions, and discussing opportunities to attract more international visitors. The exhibition also provides a platform for small and medium enterprises in Oman's tourism sector to connect with major global companies. Its participation focuses on promoting luxury, adventure, sustainable and wellness tourism. Oman to take part in tourism trade fair in Berlin
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is participating in the activities of the International Tourism Exchange Berlin 2025, which will be held from March 4 to 6 in Berlin. The exhibition is one of the largest international exhibitions and a platform for exchanging experiences and developments in the tourism industry. It is also an opportunity to introduce the tourism components, products, services, and tourism experiences that the Sultanate of Oman abounds in. In addition, participation contributes to promoting tourism and attracting more tourists from European export markets in general, promoting investment opportunities available in the tourism sector, and concluding partnerships and agreements in areas related to the tourism sector. The current edition of the exhibition is attended by 55 local tourism and hotel establishments and four strategic partners: Oman Air, Oman Airports, Omran Company, and the Travel Operator Visit Oman. Oman set to promote tourism potential abroad
MUSCAT: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism continues to enhance its presence in global markets this year by participating in the most important international travel and tourism exhibitions and organising workshops in target markets. The ministry's efforts aim to promote the Sultanate of Oman as a distinguished tourist destination, highlight its tourism, cultural and heritage potentials in addition to shedding light on the tourism packages and offers provided by tourism firms. Haitham bin Mohammed al Ghassani, Director-General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, stressed that the ministry pays a great attention to participating in international tourism exhibitions as a vital platform to enhance the presence of the Sultanate of Oman. Al Ghassani explained that the International Tourism Exchange (ITB Berlin), one of the largest global events in the travel and tourism sector, will be the next stop for the ministry after the remarkable success it achieved at the Madrid International Tourism and Trade Fair. He pointed out that participation in these exhibitions is a great opportunity to introduce the most prominent developments related to the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman and to open communication channels with major international tourism companies and institutions to discuss joint cooperation, adding that these participation contributes in attracting more tourists by promoting the diverse tourism components enjoyed by the Sultanate of Oman and highlighting the tourism offers and programmes provided by Omani firms. The ministry seeks, through participation in these exhibitions, to build a broad network of relations with international tourism institutions and to participate in conferences and seminars held on the sidelines of these events to keep pace with the most prominent trends in the global tourism sector, he said, emphasising that such participation provides a promotional and economic platform for Omani companies, especially small and medium enterprises, as they enable them to showcase their services and products at the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion, thus, contributes to supporting the tourism sector in general. The Director-General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism explained that the ministry will announce new promotional programmes during these exhibitions in collaboration with strategic partners with a view to enhancing the marketing efforts of the Sultanate of Oman and attracting more investments to the sector. The Sultanate of Oman will participate in 15 international tourism exhibitions this year including the most prominent tourism exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the United States. These include: FITUR Exhibition in Spain, ITB Berlin 2025, Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (Mitt 2025), Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in the United Arab Emirates, ITB Asia Exhibition in Singapore and WTM Exhibition in the United Kingdom in addition to many specialised international exhibitions such as IMEX Exhibition in Germany which specialises in incentive and conference tourism; and Seatrade Cruise Global 2025 in the USA, the official said. In addition, the ministry will organise a series of promotional mobile workshops in a number of target markets in the GCC, East Asia and European countries. These workshops will be held within the framework of the ministry's efforts to foster relations with local and international partners in the tourism sector and to explore opportunities for cooperation and sign strategic partnerships. During the workshops, visual presentations will be presented to introduce the Sultanate of Oman's diverse tourism potentials, in addition to holding meetings between Omani tourism institutions and major tourism companies in these markets with the aim of enhancing cooperation ties and exploring opportunities with companies specialised in the tourism sector. These participations and promotional activities are in line with the ministry's strategy to achieve the goals of the Oman Vision 2040 which focuses on diversifying the national economy and strengthening the tourism sector being one of the important economic pillars. — ONA
