‘Indian Constitution a symbol of justice, equality & nat'l pride'
Prayagraj: The Indian Constitution is not just a legal document but a living entity that embodies the ideals of justice , equality , and liberty, shaping the identity of every Indian. It serves as a reminder that the Constitution is a cornerstone of India's democracy and the source of its national pride . This view was expressed by professor Mukul Sharad Sutaone, director, Indian Institute of Information and Technology (IIIT), Allahabad, while speaking at a programme titled ' Hamara Samvidhan , Hamara Swabhiman' organised on Monday. He said that this phrase emphasises the deep connection between India's Constitution and the nation's pride and identity. The Constitution of India is the supreme law of the land and represents the principles and values upon which India stands: democracy, equality, justice, secularism, and the rule of law. The director said, "When we say 'Hamara Samvidhan,' we refer to the foundational document that not only guides the governance of the country but also ensures the protection of the rights and freedoms of every citizen. 'Hamara Swabhiman' (Our Pride) reflects the respect and dignity that every citizen of India feels towards the Constitution, recognising it as a symbol of unity, diversity, and strength." Prof Pawan Chakarborty, dean, said the Constitution is derived from a combination of multiple sources, both domestic and international, that helped shape its structure, provisions, and functioning. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like If you have a mouse, play this game for 1 minute Navy Quest Undo Prof O P Vyas, dean infrastructure, said that the Constitution is a product of historical circumstances, philosophical thought, and global influences.
