Kiara Advani's War 2 Bikini Scene Trimmed By 9 Seconds, Censor Board Asks To Tone Down Sensual Imagery
New Delhi: War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and Jr NTR, was asked to make some edits ahead of its release on the eve of the Independence Day. Among other things, Kiara Advani's bikini scene was chopped off by 9 seconds after the Central Borad Of Certification (CBFC) directed to tone down sensual imagery by 50 percent, as per a Bollywood Hungama report. What's Happening Kiara Advani's bikini scene became the talking point after the song Aava Jaava released. The song gave substantial screen time to showcase Kiara Advani's bikini moves. As per reports, the CBFC didn't mention the bikini scene categorically. But the scene, reportedly, was trimmed by 9 seconds. An industry insider further revealed to the portal that it was the Revising Committee (RC), not the Examining Committee (EC), that gave War 2 its clearance. The source noted, "It is possible that the EC must have asked for many changes, which must have prompted War 2 makers to approach the RC." The insider further explained, "The Presiding Officer of the RC was Padma Shri Ramesh Patange. He is known to clear those films for which the EC has had reservations. Last year, he had cleared the controversial film Hamare Baraah and also Vedaa. The latter also had faced issues with the EC after which the RC cleared the film, albeit with changes." About War 2 War 2 is the sequel to the 2019 film War. This is the first time Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR collaborated for a film. The trailer promises an action-packed extravaganza with some philosohical musings. Hrihik Roshan shared an adorable post from the last day of the shoot on Instagram. An excerpt from his long note read, "Felt a mixed bag of emotions as the cameras stopped rolling for #War2. 149 days of relentless chase, action, dance, blood, sweat, injuries... and it was all WORTH IT!" The film has been directed by Ayan Mukerji, mostly known for his romantic films. The film will release in theatres on August 14.

War 2: Censor Board Makes Major Edits In Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR's Film, Kiara Advani's Viral Bikini Sequence Trimmed
New Delhi: War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead, is set to arrive in theatres on August 14, 2025. Ahead of its premiere, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has made several changes to the film, including audio and visual cuts. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the makers were forced to mute 'inappropriate references' in six places in the audio and visual department. Additionally, an 'obscene' dialogue was replaced by an approved sentence and an "obscene' gesture made by a character was made to deleted. The CBFC also instructed the War 2 team to reduce sensual images by 50 percent, which in duration amounts to 9 seconds. Reportedly, the sequences in question are those of Kiara Advani's bikini shots in the song Aavan Jaavan. No changes were made to the action scenes. After the changes were implemented, War 2 received a U/A 16+ rating on August 6, 2025. The censor certificate lists its runtime as 179.49 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 49 seconds. On August 8, the makers of War 2 once again approached the CBFC. Sources reveal that they voluntarily cut the film's length to 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 44 seconds (171.44 minutes). An industry source came up with another revelation. They disclosed that it was CBFC's Revising Committee (RC) that cleared War 2 and not the Examining Committee (EC). They said, 'It is possible that the EC must have asked for many changes, which must have prompted War 2 makers to approach the RC,' as quoted by Bollywood Hungama. The insider added, 'The Presiding Officer of the RC was Padma Shri Ramesh Patange. He is known to clear those films for which the EC has had reservations. Last year, he had cleared the controversial film Hamare Baraah and also Vedaa. The latter also had faced issues with the EC, after which the RC cleared the film, albeit with changes.'

CBFC cuts down 9 seconds of sensual scenes from Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, Jr NTR starrer 'War 2', along with an obscene gesture scene
Hrithik Roshan , Jr NTR and Kiara Advani starrer 'War 2' is set to hit the screens on August 14. The film is clashing with Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' and it's going to be interesting to see which film eventually takes the cake. So far, the teaser, trailer and the songs of 'War 2' have gotten a great response. Meanwhile, Kiara and Hrithik's chemistry in the 'Aavan Jaavan' song from the film also got a lot of love. But fans would not be disappointed to know that the CBFC has cut down the sensual scenes in the film. The CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification) has given 'War 2' the go-ahead without demanding any edits to its high-octane action scenes. However, certain other portions of the film weren't as lucky, with the board instructing the makers to make some alterations. Among the first changes was the muting of 'inappropriate references' in both dialogues and visuals, a total of six instances were asked to be changed. One 'obscene' line was swapped out for a board-approved sentence, and roughly a minute later, a two-second 'obscene' gesture by a character was ordered to be removed entirely. Apart from that, the censor board directed the makers to tone down sensual imagery by 50 percent, which translated to cutting 9 seconds of footage. While the board hasn't officially named the scenes, speculation points to Kiara Advani's bikini appearance in the song 'Aavan Jaavan'. Her look has become a talking point on the internet. The full song offered more glimpses, but it has been cut down by 9 seconds, according to Bollywood Hungama. After these changes were implemented, 'War 2' received a U/A 16+ certificate on August 6, with a runtime of 179.49 minutes which is 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 49 seconds. Interestingly, just two days later, on August 8, the makers returned to the CBFC, this time voluntarily. They trimmed the film further to sharpen its pacing, bringing the runtime down to 171.44 minutes (2 hours, 51 minutes, and 44 seconds). An industry insider further revealed to the portal that it was the Revising Committee (RC), not the Examining Committee (EC), that gave War 2 its clearance. The source noted, 'It is possible that the EC must have asked for many changes, which must have prompted War 2 makers to approach the RC.' The insider further explained, 'The Presiding Officer of the RC was Padma Shri Ramesh Patange. He is known to clear those films for which the EC has had reservations.
