War 2: Censor Board asks makers to remove 50% of Kiara Advani's sensual visuals, mute 'inappropriate references'
War 2 is one of the most anticipated films of this year that brings together the dream team of Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR. This is arguably the biggest casting coup YRF has pulled off since Silsila and Thugs of Hindostan. But unlike part one that was directed by Siddharth Anand, the sequel is helmed by Ayan Mukerji. The scale of his films continue to grow by leaps and bounds as his filmography suggests.
As the juggernaut is ready to release in four days, the CBFC has suggested certain changes to the makers. The CBFC has asked the makers to reduce the sensual images by 50%, and one of them pertains to Kiara Advani's visuals in a swimsuit. Some other inappropriate references have been asked to be muted as well.

It was the Revising Committee over the Election Committee that cleared the film for certification. A source told Bollywood Hungama, 'It is possible that the EC must have asked for many changes, which must have prompted War 2 makers to approach the RC.'
It added, 'The Presiding Officer of the RC was Padma Shri Ramesh Patange. He is known to clear those films for which the EC has had reservations. Last year, he had cleared the controversial film Hamare Baraah and also Vedaa. The latter also had faced issues with the EC after which the RC cleared the film, albeit with changes.'
About War 2
There are dreamy moments, visceral chemistry between the leads, and eye-watering camerawork. And the cherry on the cake is the action of the leading men. It's all set to go bonkers.
War 2 brings together two of the biggest icons of Indian cinema - Hrithik Roshan as the daredevil Kabir, and pan India superstar NTR. The film is slated for a release on August 14, 2025 in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil.
The YRF Spy Universe is the biggest IP of Indian cinema today, having only delivered blockbusters with all its titles like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3. War 2 is the sixth YRF Spy Universe film to release.
