Israel's planned wall with Jordan won't hide its crimes in Palestine, Hamas warns

DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement said that Israel's recently announced plan to build a high-tech security wall along the eastern border with Jordan will not shield the Israeli occupation from the consequences of its ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people. In a statement issued Sunday, Hamas stressed that 'Israel's settlement expansion plans will only strengthen the Palestinian people's determination to pursue resistance as an effective path to liberate Palestine.' Hamas criticized the Israeli regime's continued violations against Palestinians, their land, and their holy sites, asserting that the construction of additional barriers will not suppress the people's desire for freedom. 'Israel's previous security wall projects have failed to suppress the Palestinian people's resistance and quell their unyielding anger, which will persist until the occupation is removed and their historical rights are reclaimed,' the Movement said. Hamas also called on Arab and Islamic nations to unite in confronting what it described as 'colonial projects' and settlement expansion efforts across the region. The Israeli security cabinet approved a plan by War Minister Israel Katz to construct a multi-layered security barrier along the eastern Palestinian border with Jordan. The wall aims to reinforce Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley, a strategic area that Israel has long considered critical to its security. The project, which will begin in June, involves the construction of a 425-kilometer high-tech defense system stretching from the occupied Syrian Golan Heights in the north to Eilat in the far south. Estimated at $1.4 billion, the barrier will include a combination of physical infrastructure, advanced surveillance sensors, mobile military units, and command centers, according to Israeli officials. The project is expected to take three years to complete. This announcement follows earlier steps taken by the Israeli Defense Ministry, which began preliminary work on the barrier in November. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly endorsed the idea, referring to it as part of a broader strategy to secure the country's borders. In 2023, Netanyahu ordered the construction of a fence along the entire border to prevent infiltration, noting that such plans have been in motion since 2012, when he instructed army and ministry officials to begin planning. A year later, in 2015, Israel began building a fence with embedded sensors, and in 2016, Netanyahu declared his intention to 'surround the entire State of Israel with a fence.' The total length of the border between Jordan, Israel, and the West Bank spans approximately 335 kilometers, with 97 kilometers bordering the West Bank and 238 kilometers bordering Israel. Jordan and Israel currently share three official border crossings: Sheikh Hussein (Jordan River), King Hussein Bridge (Allenby), and Wadi Araba (Yitzhak Rabin). Shortlink for this post:

Hamas Warns against Blocking Humanitarian Aids to Gaza, Al-Qassam Releases Footage of Shujaia Ambush

Hamas Movement issued on Thursday a statement which affirms that, as part of its commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people by halting the (Zionist) aggression and opening the crossings for the entry of humanitarian aid, the positive initiative of releasing captured soldier Edan Alexander came ahead of US President's visit to the region. 'We expect, based on the understandings reached with the American side, and with the knowledge of the mediators, that humanitarian aid should have entered the Gaza Strip immediately, a call been made for a permanent ceasefire, and that comprehensive negotiations would have been held on all issues to achieve security and stability in the region, a goal we aspire to achieve.' However, failure to achieve these steps, especially the entry of humanitarian aid to our people, will cast a negative effect over any efforts to complete negotiations on the prisoner exchange process, Hamas warned. Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas military wing, released a video to show the ambush and clash with a Zionist occupation force in Shujaia neighborhood, northern Gaza on April 25, 2025. The operation left two Zionist soldiers dead and others injured.

Hamas Releases Alexander after Negotiations with US Administration, Voices Readiness for Comprehensive Deal

Hamas Movement issued on Monday a statement to announced that Al-Qassam Brigades released the Zionist soldier holding an American citizenship, 'Idan Alexander', following communications with the U.S. administration, as part of efforts led by mediators to reach a ceasefire, open the crossings, and allow humanitarian aid and relief to reach our people in the Gaza Strip. This step comes after significant communications during which Hamas demonstrated a high level of positivity and flexibility, the statement added. 'We affirm that serious and responsible negotiations can lead to results in the release of captives, whereas the continuation of aggression only prolongs their suffering and may result in their death.' 'We confirm the movement's readiness to immediately begin negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement for a lasting ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation army, lifting of the blockade, captive exchange, and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip,' it added. Israeli media reported that the Red Cross has received the captive Aidan Alexander from Al-Qassam Brigades in Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip. In a statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that negotiations aimed at securing the release of all Gaza captives will persist 'under fire,' while the Israeli occupation military prepares for a potential escalation in the war. He further asserted that the Zionist sole obligation is to establish a safe passage for Alexander's release, attributing the breakthrough to the 'military pressure' exerted on Gaza.

Hamas: Mediators continue their efforts to implement remaining phases of Gaza Ceasefire deal

File- Preparation for handing over the sixth batch of three Israeli captives as per the prisoner swap deal between Hamas and Israel on February 15, 2025- photo from Palestinian journalists' Telegram accounts CAIRO – 6 March 2025: The Palestinian Resistance movement of Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said that the mediators continue their efforts to ensure the implementation of the remaining phases of the ceasefire agreement, and to compel the Zionist occupation to begin negotiations for the second phase of the agreement. The Hamas Movement reaffirmed its commitment to all phases of the ceasefire agreement, and hopes that the mediators' efforts will lead to the implementation of all the agreement's phases by the Zionist occupation. However, Abu Ubeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of Hamas, issued another statement warning that the resistance is ready for possibilities and Israeli threats to resume fighting. 'We are in a state of readiness and prepared for all possibilities, and the enemy's threats to resume fighting will only push us to further shatter what remains of its prestige,' said Abu Ubeida in a televised statement. Abu Ubeida's comments were stated after US President Donald Trump encourges Israel to aviod the ceasefire agreement if the rest of the Israeli captives were not released. On his Truth account, Trump said: "I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don't do as I say.' He added: "Release all of the hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you.' In remarks to the Turkish state-run news agency Anadolu Agency, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem stated that these threats encourage Israel to avoid implementing the terms of the Gaza ceasefire, which took effect on 19 January.

Postponing release of Captives is deliberate attempt to disrupt agreement

Gaza - Saba: Member of the Political Bureau of the Hamas Movement, Izzat al-Rishq, strongly condemned the Netanyahu's decision to postpone the release of Palestinian Captives. Al-Rishq said in a press statement reported by Safa Agency today, Sunday, that this decision reveals once again the occupation's evasions and evasion of its obligations. He added that the occupation's pretext that "the handover ceremony is humiliating" is a false claim and a flimsy pretext aimed at evading the obligations of the agreement. He pointed out that the ceremony does not include any insult to the prisoners, but rather reflects the generous humane treatment of them. He explained that the real insult is what our prisoners are exposed to during the release process, from torture, beatings and deliberate humiliation until the last moments. He pointed out that the Palestinian prisoners are released with their hands tied and blindfolded, and their families are threatened not to hold any celebrations to receive their released sons. Netanyahu's decision was considered a deliberate attempt to disrupt the agreement, a clear violation of its terms, and a clear indication of the occupation's unreliability in implementing its obligations. Al-Rashq called on the mediators and the international community to assume their responsibilities and pressure the occupation to implement the agreement and release the prisoners without any delay.
