The Oklahoma Sooners earned their first defensive commitment of the 2026 recruiting class on Tuesday night, earning a pledge from safety Niko Jandreau out of Chandler, Arizona. But that might not be the only Hamilton High product to wear the crimson and cream in the future. The Sooners are also pursuing Niko's twin brother, three-star linebacker Beau Jandreau. Advertisement According to 247Sports, Beau Jandreau holds offers from Oklahoma, USC, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Cal, Kansas State, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. Much like his brother Niko, Beau plays fast, and he plays the linebacker position with physicality. He doesn't just play to the man, he plays through the man, arriving to the ball carrier with force. Beau does a great job reading the play and reacting to with confidence and speed to get to the football. He can line up at both middle and weakside linebacker spots. With his speed and adept understanding of coverage, he could be an option at cheetah as well. Linebacker is a key spot for the Sooners in the 2026 recruiting cycle with the possibility that Kobie McKinzie, Kip Lewis, Kendal Daniels, and Kendal Dolby all leaving after the 2025 season. Brent Venables, Nate Dreiling, and Wes Goodwin have to stack talent in this class to help reload the position for the Sooners. Family honors teen killed in Tom Lee Park shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Family and friends honored a teen who was killed in a shooting at Tom Lee Park on Sunday. The shooting occurred during the Foodees Food and Culture Festival at Tom Lee Park. Anthony Smith, 17, was identified by his family as the person who was killed in the shooting. ORIGINAL STORY: Teen fatally shot near Tom Lee Park, teen suspect on the run Police released information that the suspect is believed to be a young person wearing all black and including a ski mask during the shooting. 'It's a lot of emotions. It's a lot of them, mixed, angry, hurt, sad just hurt,' said Great-Aunt, Shamena Alson. Family said Smith went to Hamilton High. Alston says what hurts more is she saw her nephew the day before the shooting, not knowing it would be their last time together. She says Smith was also known as 'cornbread' by his family, and when grieving, she could still feel the love for her great-nephew. 'Enough is enough,' Mayor Young responds to Tom Lee Park fatal shooting 'I didn't want to believe, I was scared, I prayed I didn't want to manifest death over him I was scared, I just didn't want to believe it,' said Alston. The family says those responsible took a teen who was good at basketball, and he loved his family and had his own plans for the future. 'The way they did him I mean like, that was a lot of hatred and it's sad it's that much evil in the world,' said Alston. 'My nephew didn't deserve it, he didn't I promise he didn't he was a great kid.' 'Now we know that a lot of people are afraid to call, some people are afraid it's not anonymous and that's why we are constantly saying to people we never know who you are. It truly is anonymous if you make a phone call or send us a text,' said David Wayne Brown, CEO of CrimeStoppers of Memphis and Shelby County. Police seek suspect in fatal shooting at Downtown Memphis park WREG counted many cameras near the crime scene, and there were hundreds of people in the area for the Foodees Food and Culture Festival at Tom Lee Park. 'It could be the smallest thing you saw, it could be color of clothing that someone was wearing and then that could be put together with something else and pretty soon detectives have enough to work on,' said Brown. Terrell Suggs pleads guilty in Scottsdale Starbucks drive-thru confrontation

Former Arizona Cardinals linebacker Terrell Suggs, a Hamilton High and Arizona State University alum has reached a plea deal in connection with a suspected road rage incident at a Scottsdale Starbucks drive-thru. The 42-year-old pleaded guilty Thursday to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct and is set for sentencing on April 1 in Maricopa County, according to court records. As part of the plea deal, charges of threatening or intimidating were dismissed. The charges stem from a March 10 incident at a Starbucks drive-thru on Hayden Road and East Thompson Peak Parkway, where Suggs and another driver got into a confrontation, according to court documents. The dispute centered on whether Suggs' Range Rover had backed into the other driver's vehicle, the documents state. Suggs told the other driver, "I'll kill your b**** a**," before pulling out a handgun and driving off, charging documents stated. Though the handgun was never pointed at the other driver, he felt threatened, according to court documents. Police traced the Range Rover to Suggs and took him into custody April 9, 2024, as he drove out of his Scottsdale home, court documents mentioned. Playing for the Cardinals for 13 games before being released to the Kansas City Chiefs where he won a Super Bowl in 2020, that season was Suggs' last in the NFL. He played 16 seasons for the Baltimore Ravens, having won his first Super Bowl in 2012.
