Motocross 2025 250 results, highlights, finish at Hangtown: Haiden Deegan wins
Haiden Deegan kept his perfect season alive with a sweep of the motos in the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California. In 2024, Deegan swept only one round of the 11 that make up the Pro Motocross championship, but he won the title with consistently strong runs. Starting the 2025 season with four moto wins marks the first time in his career that Deegan swept rounds in back-to-back weeks. Deegan leads the Pro Motocross standings by 12 points over Jo Shimoda, and has a commanding lead of 47 points in the SuperMotocross standings that seeds the playoffs. That is nearly two full motos ahead of second-place Julien Beaumer. Click here for a recap of Hangtown Shimoda stayed within striking distance of Deegan in the championship battle with second-place finishes in both motos of the opening round at Fox Raceway and this week in Hangtown. Conceding some speed and fitness to his rival, Shimoda knows where he needs improvement as the series heads into Round 3 at Thunder Valley MX Park in Lakewood, Colorado, this week. Levi Kitchen overcame a dismal start to his Pro Motocross campaign after finishing the Fox Raceway Nationals with minimal points. He finished 10th in Moto 1 and retired with engine problems in Southern California, but peaked in the heat of Northern Cali with results of third in each moto. Relive Moto 1 Beaumer started strong in Hangtown's Moto 1 before fading to eighth in the final rundown. He performed much better in the second race, finishing fourth and scoring fourth overall due to a tiebreaker. Earning the same number of points, 32, as Beaumer, Garrett Marchbanks finished one position better in Moto 1 with a seventh and one position worse in Moto 2 with a fifth, proving it is truly how one finishes in Pro Motocross that counts. The 2025 Supercross East champion Tom Vialle crashed out of Moto 1 and, still feeling the effects of the accident, finished eighth in Moto 2 to score 14 points, resulting in an overall 17th-place finish. Motocross 2025 450 results, highlights, finish at Hangtown: Jett Lawrence wins overall, Eli Tomac Moto 1
The potential for a perfect season came to a rapid end in Moto 1 of the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California, after a slow start and excessive heat relegated Jett Lawrence to a third-place finish, but he surged to the top of the leaderboard in Moto 2 and earned the overall victory with a 3-1. The Moto 1 loss was one of the few times Jett has been beaten in head-to-head Pro Motocross competition, and the third time he lost a moto on this track. A hard crash in the 2024 Hangtown race dropped Lawrence to 24th in Moto 1, and the effect of that accident contributed to a sixth-place finish in Moto 2. He rebounded immediately to score the overall victory in the next three rounds with four moto wins and a pair of second-place results. Click here for a recap of Hangtown Aaron Plessinger lost track of the time on the clock late in the first moto and slowed, allowing Eli Tomac to blast past. Once he realized his mistake, the lost momentum was enough to put him in the clutches of third-place Jett. He was fortunate to fend off the 2023 Motocross champion and finish second in Moto 1. A third-place finish in Moto 2 after a fierce contest with Hunter Lawrence gave him the second position in the overall standings. Justin Cooper replicated his career-best moto finish in the second race of the Hangtown Motocross Classic, but a fourth-place result cost enough points to relegate him to third in the overall standings. Cooper finished third in two rounds last year, at Thunder Valley and Spring Creek. Relive Moto 1 As well as Moto 1 went for Tomac, the second race was the polar opposite. He got bumped coming out of the gate and entered Turn 1 in last place. Tomac charged through the field and was challenging for fifth with a realistic opportunity of catching up to second-place Cooper when he tucked a wheel and crashed. Tomac remounted in 12th, regained three positions to finish ninth, but the damage was done. He missed the podium by two positions (about 16 seconds) on the track. Hunter was part of last week's incredible podium that featured three riders returning from injury, but the effects of his shoulder problems in Supercross may not be completely gone. He rode well and swept the top five, but results of fifth in Moto 1 and fourth in Moto 2 combined to place him fifth overall in the standings. Cooper Webb finished seventh in both motos, earning 30 points, which allowed him to maintain his combined SuperMotocross League lead. Missing the race after the effects of his hard Round 1 crash dropped Chase Sexton to a 17-point deficit for the top seeding entering the playoffs. 2025 Hangtown Motocross 250 Moto 1
Chance Hymas earned the holeshot in Moto 1 of the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California, as last week's overall winner, Haiden Deegan, got a slow start and ended Lap 1 just outside the top five in sixth. On the opening lap, Hymas jumped wide and momentarily left the track, which handed the top spot to Casey Cochran. Tom Vialle and Ryder DiFrancesco crashed, overshadowing Deegan's climb into third. Vialle sustained damage to his bike and pulled into the mechanic's area before heading to the pits. He will not earn any points for this round. Deegan is 1.5 seconds faster than Cochran and Hymas on Lap 5. He tends to get faster as the moto progresses. He moved into second on that lap.

Motocross at Hangtown 2025, Round 2: How to watch, start times, schedule, TV info
Round 2 of the 2025 Pro Motocross season heads to the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California, as Jett Lawrence embarks on what he hopes will be his second perfect season after first accomplishing that feat as a rookie. Two things stand in his way: 1) Eli Tomac pressured the 2023 Motocross champion throughout the second moto of the season opener last week in Pala, California, and 2) this is the only track on which he has been beaten. Lawrence crashed heavily on a downhill portion of the track last year and opened the door for Chase Sexton to sweep the motos. After Lawrence suffered an injury midway through the season, Sexton became the 2024 champion. Dan Beaver, Sexton will not mount up this weekend as he continues to recover from the injury he suffered in Moto 1 in Pala, California, in the Fox Raceway Nationals. He'll return when he is 100 percent. Coming off his 1-1 performance in Pala, Haiden Deegan hopes to sweep the motos again this week. He won the 250 championship in 2024, but was only able to get the broom out once, which adds to his motivation at Hangtown.
