Union ministry seeks report on wildlife sanctuary violations in Raj
Jaipur: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has demanded a detailed report from the Rajasthan govt regarding alleged irregularities in Sariska and Nahargarh sanctuary areas, following concerns raised by Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The development came to light when Beniwal shared the ministry's communication on social media platform X on Monday. The letter to the Nagaur MP, dated May 7, 2025, was sent by Union minister Bhupender Yadav in response to issues raised during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha earlier this year. The controversy stems from allegations made by Beniwal during the March 12 parliamentary session, where he accused the state authorities of manipulating sanctuary boundaries under political patronage to favour hotel owners and mining operators, in direct violation of Supreme Court and National Green Tribunal (NGT) directives. According to Beniwal, over two dozen hotels are currently operating in violation of court rulings - approximately twelve in Alwar's Siliserh area and another dozen in the Ajabgarh–Jamwaramgarh range. The MP claimed these commercial activities continue unchecked in eco-sensitive zones, with state officials limiting their response to merely issuing notices. In its communication to the Rajasthan forest department, the ministry has directed prompt examination of the matter and appropriate action, demanding updates on measures taken. While acknowledging that wildlife and habitat management primarily falls under state jurisdiction, the ministry's intervention signals growing concern over the alleged violations.

Nagpur MP holds rally demanding cancellation of Rajasthan police recruitment exam
Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) President and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal on Saturday led the 'Yuva Aakrosh Maharally' in Jaipur's Mansarovar, raising strong demands for the cancellation of the police sub-inspector (SI) recruitment. Beniwal also demanded a complete overhaul of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).Beniwal fiercely targeted the Bhajanlal Sharma-led BJP government, accusing it of shielding those involved in the recruitment the arrest of 100 people, including 53 police sub-inspectors, the Bhajanlal government has maintained silence. This raises serious questions. The SOG has confirmed the scam, and the sub-committee of ministers, along with the AAG and the police headquarters, has recommended cancellation of the recruitment. Yet the matter remains pending. This clearly shows the government's intent to protect the ministers and officers involved,' Beniwal alleged. The RLP chief dismissed any political motives behind his protest.'I am not here for political gains. I speak for the mother who sells her farm to educate her son, for the youth who studies on an empty stomach but refuses to give up. The government must not remain under the illusion that Hanuman Beniwal is alone. The youth, farmers, unemployed, teachers, and students of Rajasthan are standing with me,' he in his speech, Beniwal described the BJP as 'Sampnath' and Congress as 'Nagnath', slamming both parties. He declared that the RPSC had turned into a 'bastion of corruption' and demanded its dissolution. He called for a new structure comprising serving, qualified, and honest officers. He also pressed for the abolition of the normalisation system in exams, immediate release of the list of vacant posts, and the formulation of a recruitment his opposition to the Agniveer recruitment scheme, Beniwal claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent rally in Bikaner reflected a decline in popularity. 'Even with the full government machinery and power of ministers, they couldn't draw the crowd that is present here today,' he from various parts of the state, including Barmer, Nagaur, and Jalore, gathered in large numbers to attend the rally. Beniwal issued a stern warning to the government, stating, 'We don't want to disturb law and order, but we won't back down. The Chief Minister has already gone to Delhi fearing the youth. Ministers have left Jaipur. If the government continues to ignore us, the agitation will spread across the state and we will gherao the Vidhan Sabha.'Must Watch IN THIS STORY#Jaipur

Hanuman Beniwal detained while marching towards CM's residence
Jaipur: Nagaur MP and RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal , who was protesting for the cancellation of the SI recruitment exam and the reorganisation of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), was detained by the police along with his supporters while marching towards the chief minister's residence Friday. The police took them to the Sanganer Sadar police station. He was later released. RLP has been protesting at the Shaheed Smarak for seven days. Beniwal criticised the govt, pointing out that while two commission members are in jail and the SOG is investigating fake candidates, many are still being protected, yet the govt remains silent. He labelled the police action as "murder of democracy" and warned that next time, the CM's residence would be surrounded by an even larger crowd. This confrontation is not just an arrest but symbolises the growing gap between the govt's promises and public expectations. He launched a sharp attack on the Bhajan Lal govt, stating that the BJP, which came to power promising a CBI investigation into Congress-era recruitments, failed to deliver on its promise. Beniwal expressed dissatisfaction over the allocation of fake land to private universities, degree scams, and jeopardising the future of youths.
