TOWIE's Harry Derbidge breaks silence on 'absolutely mental' group chat drama

The Only Way Is Essex is set to return to screens on Sunday for its 36th series and original cast member Harry Derbidge has set the record straight on the group chat drama One of the most explosive The Only Way Is Essex cast rows in the programme's 15-year run is about to hit screens. ‌ The ITV2 reality series makes its comeback on Sunday (August 15) with series 36 as the Essex crew jet off to Portugal for some sunshine and drama. ‌ But there was chaos during the getaway which has been branded as "dramatic". ‌ Amy Childs, Lauren Goodge r, Harry Derbidge, Ella Rae Wise, Dani Imbert, and Elma Pazar turned up to the ITV Reality bash in London last week to give fans a taste of what's coming in the new series. Harry, who featured in the programme's debut series back in 2010, revealed: "I feel like the Portugal trip is going to be the juiciest part because there's so much that happens.", reports OK!. "So much happens in our lives in between filming so when we go back to filming them first eps we're all reliving about what happened in the gap. "It's stemmed from a very juicy group chat which I feel everyone is going to be quite buzzing to know about." Ella, who recently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, remarked: "I wasn't even here." ‌ Harry went on: "We had a group chat basically and it's gone absolutely mental, everyone is going crazy in this group and she didn't even know about it because she was in the Big Brother house." Ella added: "I came out and i was like 'oh, it's all gone wrong'. I've gone in there to boost my career and it's all gone wrong." ‌ Amy revealed: "Me and Lauren [Goodger] were sitting there. I had a little glass of Prosecco and she's like 'this is too much' and I was like 'this is a lot'." It's still unclear who features in the group chat and what precisely the drama concerns, but the cast assured viewers they won't want to miss the unfolding chaos. Ella ended things with co-star boyfriend Dan Edgar prior to entering the CBB house, and the blonde beauty has disclosed that their split will feature heavily throughout the series. She revealed: "There's confusion and potentially a lot of unfinished business but it all unfolds in the new series."

‘Gutted' Lauren Goodger pulls out of huge ITV show blaming ‘lack of childcare'

LAUREN Goodger was "gutted" today after pulling out of a scheduled appearance on ITV's This Morning. With the new series of Towie about to drop, cast members Lauren, Harry Derbidge and Amy Childs were lined up to promote it on the daytime show. But Lauren, 38, had to put her daughter Larose, four, first and look after her instead after childcare plans fell through. She wrote on Instagram: "Sorry @thismorning I can not make it today, due to no childcare and too early and far to being little one and no one other end to have her... "So sorry - I am gutted to miss but hopefully see you all soon. Good luck guys @mrharryderbidge @amychilds1990 - love you all." She added hashtags explaining that life is "full on" over the six week summer holidays and she has "no break". The Towie trio recently attended an ITV day to promote the channel's reality schedule and Lauren, who returned to the programme last year after eight years away, said: "Oh I love it, I've had such a good time, honestly, it's really helped me personally bring on a back, because I sort of lost myself for a little while, went through a lot and I just feel this, this makes me happy." Fellow show original Amy opened up about how life is very different these days compared to their early years on camera. The mum-of-four said: "I think personally, I think it's so different. It's like 15 years ago and I feel like me and Lauren, you know, we've all been here 15 years ago. "We've now got children, me and Lauren, I feel like, I don't want to say it's harder, I just think it's different. "I think for the show, I think people absolutely love it. Everyone's got a bit of everything in it. Drama, fun. "II think for me, I'm not really involved with the drama. "I don't like drama. How many kids have I got? Four kids. "I'm not involved in any drama. I love it. I love filming. I was there from day one, I'm back. "I came back five years ago, it was the best thing I ever did. I'm looking forward to everyone seeing it." Lauren recently confirmed her reunion with ex-boyfriend Charles Drury and treated him to a romantic night away for his birthday. Days later, the pair and daughter Larose were pictured at the airport on their way to a family holiday. 4

'Gutted' Lauren Goodger pulls out of scheduled This Morning appearance due to lack of childcare - as she shares sexy selfies from home instead

was forced to pull out of her scheduled This Morning appearance on Monday due to lack of childcare for her three-year-old daughter Larose - and stayed at home sharing sexy selfies instead. The TOWIE star, 38, was due to be on the show to promote the upcoming series alongside her co-stars Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge. But she took to her Story and penned: 'Sorry @thismorning I can not make it today, due to no childcare and too early and far to being little one and no one other end to have her... 'So sorry - I am gutted to miss but hopefully see you all soon. Good luck guys @mrharryderbidge @amychilds1990 - love you all.' She added the following hashtags to the end of her post: '#6weeks #nobreak #mumlife #towie #liftisfullon.' Just a few hours after the announcement she posted two sexy selfies to her Story as she slipped into a strappy vest and skimpy shorts. She shares Larose with her ex Charles Drury who she recently sparked reconciliation rumours with. It comes after last week Lauren looked worlds away from her early days on TOWIE as a hilarious career-defining clip of her resurfaced. The TV personality joined the hit reality show in 2010 and was part of the original cast alongside Sam Faiers, Lydia Bright, and Kirk Norcross. Her outbursts and heated interactions with other cast members became a central part of her portrayal on the show. And last week, a viral clip of her having a job interview on the show in 2012 has once again done its rounds. Shared by Hunsnet, an Instagram page which posts iconic celebrity moments, Lauren looked fresh-faced as she sported short blonde locks. In the clip, the star was tasked with selling a blue stapler during her interview. She said: 'Stapler, everyone needs a stapler. Obviously, you work with paper every day, it's a great colour. 'I think blue, it's really cool and it's a really nice colour. It can go with girls and boys, so it's, you know, universal. 'So, yeah, I think it's a great price,' she said, before he interviewer asked: 'Can you give me a discount?' Lauren replied: 'Yeah, definitely if you can buy more than one, then definitely we can come to some compromising price.' Sharing his thoughts on Lauren's demonstration, the interviewer gushed: 'Excellent, I think you did really well there. That was good, that was really good.' It came weeks after Lauren admitted that she thinks she has 'ruined her looks' with plastic surgery. Earlier this year, she revealed her plans to have her breast and bum implants removed soon. And speaking to The Sun, Lauren admitted the surgery she has undergone has left her thinking her body looks 'abnormal'. Lauren said she thinks her 'massive boobs and bum' have made her look bigger than she actually is and shared her plans to look like her old self again. The reality star expressed regret about getting the work done and insisted she plans to have all of it removed or reversed. Lauren said: 'I've ruined my looks with surgery - I hate my fake boobs and bum now. 'I feel like my body looks abnormal - I don't need these massive boobs and massive bum. She added: 'When I look at myself naked in the mirror, all I see is lumps and bumps everywhere.'

Towie feud erupts as stars have explosive row in Portugal after months of tension

TOWIE'S Ella Rae Wise and Freddie Bentley clash with co-star Harry Derbidge in explosive scenes in Portugal after months of tension. The ITV2 show has splashed out on a cast getaway to Portugal to celebrate the show's 15th anniversary. 5 5 5 During the away trip, Freddie and Harry come face-to-face after their brief romance fizzled out last series. Their co-star and CBB beauty Ella is caught in the middle and forced to take sides when things become heated. A source said: 'Freddie and Ella have a major fallout with Harry in Portugal. "There has been a lot of tension between Harry and Freddie ever since their romance didn't work out and the way it ended didn't sit well with Harry. "Freddie and Ella try to put the stuff with Harry behind them in Portugal and Harry also wants to move on from everything that's been going on and feels Portugal is the place to do that. "They are all just trying to find a way to move forwards and reach an amicable place and don't want their differences to affect the rest of the group. "But things come to a head and there is a big confrontation with some incredible scenes. "Harry and Freddie are not on speaking terms but the cast are hopeful that things can be resolved for good." The Sun has reached out to ITV for comment. Last series, Harry was at the centre of the drama after his ex-boyfriend Joe Blackman got together with his former best friend Junaid Ahmed. And it was claimed the new romance overlapped Joe's relationship with Harry. Shock Towie scenes saw Dani Imbert drop the bombshell during a chat with Saffron Lempriere. She said: 'Joe was going round to Junaid's and they were sleeping together from the beginning. 'Before things had actually been called off with Harry. Dani confessed she felt conflicted due to her shaky friendship with Junaid and the fact she's gotten close to Harry recently. She said: 'I shouldn't be lying to Harry's face - he should know the truth. 'But then I can't help but constantly have that guilty conscience because I'd be half f****** Junaid over.' The cast flew out to film scenes in June and stayed at the five-star resort in the Algarve for a two-week trip. The Westin Algarve was chosen as the cast's base. The resort, that just opened with its five-star facilities, beachfront setting and high-end suites, is expected to serve as the glamorous backdrop for much of the upcoming drama. From luxury daybeds and DJ sets to sunset views and private lounges, every setting is being handpicked to deliver high-energy content and unforgettable scenes. The team behind the show sees Portugal as the ideal location – glamorous, sunny and accessible with only a short 2.5 hour flight from the UK. BIG MOVE With ITVBe now closing, the programme is returning to its original home on ITV2 from Autumn 2025. Ahead of the move, TOWIE will be reverting to airing twice a week. It will see a new midweek episode joining the usual Sunday instalment. This was the show's original screening pattern but it reverted to one episode per week back in 2018. A source said: 'ITV want to make a big splash with the show returning to its original home on ITV2 with the closure of ITVBe. "It's one of their flagship shows and it's still one of ITVX's most streamed shows with 66 million streams in the last 12 months alone. "Bosses think it's high time the show was reinstated to airing twice a week, just like it did in its original heyday. "It's amazing news for fans who will be getting double their fix of drama, and the cast are thrilled too. "It's a huge vote of confidence in the show after all these years on air.' 5
