Expanded media meeting chaired by Scholar Muftah discusses ways to counter Israeli escalation
Sana'a – Saba: An expanded media meeting, chaired by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Muftah, discussed on Thursday a media vision to confront any aggressive escalation by the Israeli enemy. The meeting, attended by Minister of Information Hashim Sharafuddin, his deputy Dr. Omar Al-Bukhayti, and a number of leaders from public and private media institutions, journalists, and social media activists, addressed aspects related to the emergency plan for national media outlets. During the meeting, the First Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of preparedness to implement the media emergency plans developed by the Ministry of Information and its affiliated units, in anticipation of any Israeli escalation targeting civilians, national infrastructure, and media facilities. He stressed the need for integrated roles among all relevant media entities, maintaining steadfastness and high morale, and utilizing available resources to enhance national media performance—ensuring Yemen's voice, which the enemy seeks to silence, continues to be heard. He urged delivering the media message to global public opinion and exposing the falsehoods propagated by the enemy and its mercenaries. The First Deputy Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Ministry of Information, media outlets, journalists, and activists despite challenges. He highlighted the importance of involving private media and social media activists in countering disinformation campaigns by the country's enemies and raising public awareness on confronting Israeli aggression, providing them with emergency guidelines. For his part, Minister of Information Hashim Sharafuddin affirmed that in facing any Israeli aggression, the Ministry and the media front bear a critical responsibility in mobilizing public opinion and strengthening national resilience. He stated that the media battle requires a strong, steadfast, and unified national media characterized by stability, awareness, and responsibility, embodying a spirit of moral resistance. Sharafuddin outlined the Ministry's vision to preempt and respond to any Israeli escalation, including media strategies, lessons from Iran's media confrontation during Israeli aggression, and countering the propaganda of Yemeni traitors serving Zionist agendas. He emphasized accuracy, objectivity, transparency, national unity, high morale, countering enemy psychological warfare, and effectively employing all media channels while maintaining professionalism. Sharafuddin also stressed the importance of social media in rapidly countering rumors, translation efforts, creating multilingual accounts, and using sponsored content in English to reach Western audiences. He highlighted the need to engage with Arab, Islamic, and international media to present Yemen's narrative objectively. Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhayti underscored coordinating efforts to highlight Yemeni victories against forces of arrogance and domination. He reviewed aspects of the Ministry's emergency plan, ensuring Yemeni media's continuity despite challenges, citing an Iranian TV channel's quick recovery after being bombed as a media victory over Israel. Govt Spokesman: "We Stand in Awe of Our People's Awareness, Steadfastness, & Faith in Justness of their Cause"
Sana'a - Saba: The spokesman for the Government of Change and Reconstruction, Minister of Information Hashim Sharafuddin, praised the awareness and steadfastness of the Yemenis and their unity around their leadership. In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the government spokesman said: "With reverence and admiration, we stand before the awareness and steadfastness of our people, their faith in the justness of their cause, and their unity around their leadership. Time and again, they prove to the entire world that they are a people who cannot be deceived, misled, distracted, or fooled—just as they have proven that they are a people who will not yield, break, or submit to injustice and tyranny." He added: "In the face of the hostile media campaigns targeting our beloved people—filled with misleading information, rumors, and lies—we are absolutely certain that they will not be swayed by these falsehoods or by the treachery of mercenary traitors who continue to betray our great nation. These traitors justify the crimes of the American enemy, defend the shedding of Yemeni blood and the destruction of our national resources, fabricate lies, and distort the truth as part of their habitual betrayal , relentless efforts to mislead public opinion and tarnish the image of the nation's free people." The spokesman pointed out that these traitors, who have sold their consciences to the devil, have once again chosen to be fuel for an unjust war and a brutal aggression targeting our land and people, presenting themselves as tools of evil and trumpets of falsehood. He stated: "We are fully confident that our people will not believe their false claims and will remain steadfast, holding their ground until victory is achieved, our land is liberated from invaders , occupiers, and the aggression against Gaza is stopped and the siege on our people there is lifted." The Minister of Information emphasized: "Our beloved people are fully aware that those vile individuals who boast of patriotism and claim to care for the people's interests are the clearest examples of betrayal, broken promises, and selling out their land and dignity to the forces of arrogance and aggression. Today, they are committing the same crimes they committed in the past by aiding Yemen's enemies in their crimes against the people and the nation—falsely claiming that our heroic armed forces have military centers in residential areas and vital service facilities, and that the missiles killing Yemeni citizens are Yemeni!" He continued: "What hypocrisy beyond all hypocrisy! What blatant lies that only the naïve and gullible would believe! It is as if these mercenary traitors are saying: 'The Yemeni people are killing themselves, not America!'—a claim even the American enemy is ashamed to make." The spokesman for the Government of Change and Reconstruction noted: "The continued betrayal and profiteering from the blood of Yemeni citizens by these mercenary traitors confirms that they are not satisfied with the crimes they have committed in collusion with the American, British, Saudi, Emirati, and Zionist aggressors over the years. They have not learned from the shame and disgrace that befell them and have squandered any chance of repentance. They have closed the doors of mercy upon themselves. Let them know that the proud Yemeni people will never forgive them, will never forget their betrayal, and will hold them accountable, sooner or later." Govt spokesperson congratulates Revolution Leader & President Al-Mashat on Eid al-Fitr occasion
Sana'a - Saba: Government Spokesperson and Minister of Information Hashim Sharafuddin sent a cable of congratulations to the Revolution Leader ,Sayyid Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi and H.E. Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. In the cable, the government spokesman expressed the highest congratulations and blessings to the leader and President Al-Mashat on this solemn religious occasion, which unites all Muslims across the globe after performing the obligation of fasting. He pointed out that Eid al-Fitr comes this year amid stormy events in the region as a result of the US-Zionist escalation against the free peoples in the region, and the Zionist entity's resumption of the war of extermination, siege and starvation of the people of the Gaza Strip. The government spokesman pointed to the honorable positions of the Yemenis under the leadership of Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi in supporting the Palestinian people despite the criminal US aggression that has targeted service facilities and civilians in the capital Sana'a and a number of provinces, through which the enemy is trying to dissuade Yemen and its armed forces from continuing to support Gaza. He emphasized that the Yemeni people, who have been steadfast in the face of the coalition of aggression for ten years, are now stronger and more cohesive and cannot submit or surrender in the face of the barbarism practiced by the American enemy, but rather, this increases their adherence to their faithful, moral and humanitarian stance in supporting the Palestinian people.
