India-Pakistan escalation: Special prayers offered at mosques in Madhya Pradesh for India's victory
Across Madhya Pradesh, special prayers were held in mosques on Friday for India's triumph in the ongoing conflict with Pakistan BHOPAL: Special prayers were offered at several mosques across MP on Friday for India's victory in the ongoing military conflict with Pakistan. Among other places, the Taj-ul-Masajid here, known to be the largest mosque in country, saw prayers being offered for India's victory and Pakistan's defeat after the Friday Namaz. Effigies and flags of Pakistan were also burnt and the Indian tricolour was waved in some parts of the state. "All of us have unanimously prayed today after the Jumma (Friday) Namaz for India's victory and Pakistan's defeat," All India Ulema Board 's state unit chief Qazi Syed Anas Ali Nadwi told PTI over phone. "I had issued an advisory for the prayers," the cleric added. Outside the Taj-ul- Masajid, Muslim faithful raised slogans "Hindustan Zindabad" and "Pakistan Murdabad". Television actor Shubhangi Atre, known for her role in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, is grieving the death of her ex-husband Piyush Poorey. According to The Times of India, Piyush passed away on Saturday after battling liver cirrhosis for a prolonged period. Shubhangi confirmed her ex-husband's death to the portal and said, 'Your thoughtfulness during this time means a great deal to me. I request you to give me some time to talk about this.' Shubhangi and Piyush were married for 22 years. They tied the knot in 2003, but eventually parted ways and were granted a divorce in February this year. They also have a daughter, Ashi, who was born in 2006. The couple had stopped living together a year before they were officially granted a divorce. A source told the website that while Shubhangi was not on talking terms with Piyush, she is mourning his death. 'She is mourning. She resumed shooting for Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain on Sunday,' the source added. Shubhangi had spoken about her divorce in the past and how it took an emotional toll on her. In a conversation with Bombay Times, she called the divorce 'painful' and clarified that they parted ways because of 'irreconcilable differences' that had developed in their relationship. She described coming out of the marriage as 'peaceful'. She said, 'I feel a sense of peace, as if a heavy burden has been lifted.' Shubhangi had also insisted that after her marriage ended, her sole focus was to provide for her daughter and give her a secure environment. Shubhangi Atre began her acting career on television with Ektaa Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She then went on to play the lead in another of Ektaa's shows, Kasturi. Over the years, she has starred in various other projects, including Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Havan, and Chidiya Ghar, but her most noticeable work remains in one of the longest-running shows on Indian television – Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain.
