64 cops promoted over success against Maoists As many as 64 cops who were part of highly successful anti-Maoist operations of state police between July 2024 and April 2025 were granted out-of-turn promotions at the special promotion decoration ceremony held in Balaghat district recently. The ceremony was graced by CM Mohan Yadav and state DGP Kailash Makwana. The officials rewarded with promotions out of the blue belong to the district police force, the special anti-Maoists operations Hawk Force and the special armed force. The promotions were granted in connection with the elimination of seven hardcore and wanted operatives and the arrest of an equally dreaded Naxal leader. Balaghat: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave clear warning to the Maoists, saying 'they must surrender otherwise, they will be eliminated'. The Chief Minister made this remark while addressing a programme in Balaghat. He said that the Madhya Pradesh government has taken a pledge to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to make the country LWE-free by 2026. 'The Maoists must surrender, otherwise they will be eliminated. There is no room for LWE on Madhya Pradesh soil,' the Chief Minister said during the event in Balaghat. Highlighting the success of ongoing anti-LWE operations in the state, he said that Balaghat which was once listed among the 12 most Maoist-affected districts, has been removed from that list. 'Thanks to the government's resolve and the hard work of the police, Balaghat has now been reclassified by the Centre into a less critical category. It could happen because of our security forces,' Yadav said. During the programme, the Chief Minister honoured 64 security personnel (Police, Hawk Force, and Special Armed Forces), who were granted out-of-turn promotions for their involvement in recent Maoist encounters in Balaghat district. Chief Minister Yadav also honoured 37 brave police personnel, who made the supreme sacrifice, stating that 'death is inevitable, but let it be one that makes the nation, the state, and society proud'. He stated that under Home Minister Amit Shah's guidance, anti-Maoist operations are being intensified across the country. Madhya Pradesh Police are being equipped with modern weapons and technology to strengthen this campaign.

Bhopal: Chief minister Mohan Yadav on Monday sent a clear message to Naxals from Balaghat that they must surrender, or they will be eliminated. There is no room for Naxalism in Madhya Pradesh soil, he said while addressing a function organised at Lanji in Balaghat district to give out-of-turn promotions to 64 personnel of security forces involved in encounters with further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah, the govt of India resolved to eliminate Naxalism across the country by the March 31, 2026. The Madhya Pradesh govt is working shoulder to shoulder with the central govt to fulfil this commitment. As part of this effort, 64 officers and personnel of the police force, Hawk Force, and special armed forces involved in recent Naxal encounters in Balaghat district were granted out-of-turn promotions. This significant step by the state govt will boost the morale of police personnel, he recalled that Balaghat was once listed among the 12 most Naxal-affected districts. Thanks to the govt's resolve and the hard work of the security forces, Balaghat has now been reclassified by the centre into a less critical category. The decline in Naxal activity in Balaghat is commendable. Yadav personally pinned the badges of promotion on officers and extended his congratulations to Police is being equipped with modern weapons and technology to strengthen this campaign. Dignitaries present included local MP Bharti Pardhi; MLAs Rajkumar Karrahe (Lanji), Vikki Patel (Waraseoni), Rajkishore Kawre (Nanu), Gaurav Pardhi; and former minister Pradeep Jaiswal.

Bhopal: Chief minister Mohan Yadav awarded out-of-turn promotions to 64 courageous police personnel from the Hawk Force , District Force, and Special Armed Force (SAF) of Balaghat and Mandla districts in an event held at Rani Avantibai Stadium, Lanji (Balaghat). The promotions were conferred during the 'Pre-Promotion Ceremony' on officers were decorated with new rank badges by CM Yadav and director general of police Kailash Makwana, who called the moment "unforgettable" for the ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including minister in charge of Balaghat district Uday Pratap Singh, special DGP (ANO) Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, IG Balaghat Sanjay Kumar, DIG Balaghat, collector Mrinal Meena, SP Balaghat Nagendra Singh, SP Mandla Rajat Saklecha, and Hawk Force Commander Shiyaz K M, alongside numerous public representatives and senior police event marks the first instance of 64 police officers receiving out-of-turn promotions simultaneously in a single the gathering, CM Yadav lauded the bravery of the police forcesin various operations. DGP Kailash Makwana praised the dedication of the Hawk Force, stating that the govt has created 325 new posts for Hawk Force and 850 posts for SSU, while deploying young IPS and DSP officers in Naxal-prone areas to strengthen the campaign. He emphasized that the goal is the complete elimination of Naxalism by March 2026.
