Amanda Holden issues six-word warning to burglars before quitting UK with family
In a recent broadcast of Heart Breakfast, the Britain's Got Talent judge revealed that she "cannot wait" to enjoy her family holiday, but issued a word of caution to any would-be thieves Amanda Holden has issued a six-word warning to any potential burglars as she gears up to jet off on holiday with her family. In a recent broadcast of Heart Breakfast, her radio co-host, Jamie Theakston, announced that Amanda was "off on holiday" and inquired whether she was looking forward to her break, to which Amanda replied that she "cannot wait". Amanda, who is set to jet off with her husband, record producer Chris Hughes, and daughters Lexi and Hollie, has enjoyed a number of overseas trips over the last year or so, including jaunts to Barbados, Dubai and Corfu. Yet, Amanda's latest trip doesn't give her any cause for concern regarding security. In fact, there's a perfectly good reason why, but she also issued a word of caution to any would-be burglars. During the show, Jamie addressed his Heart FM colleague by asking: "Amanda, you're off on holiday. I bet you can't wait?" She replied: "I cannot wait. Me and the children and my gorgeous husband, we are gone! But don't go and burgle my house because it's gonna be full up with people. So, just giving you a little note." In February, Amanda left her fans gobsmacked, as she reportedly looked like her teenage daughters ' sister in a photo taken in Barbados. In the snap, she was wearing a black dress as the family enjoyed dinner. In the post, Amanda captioned it with "Me and my girls" alongside a black heart emoji. Fans descended on the comment section to share their words of admiration for the BGT judge. One person said it was a "gorgeous family pic", pointing out that they "look like sisters", adding that "Hollie has grown into a stunning young lady." However, they weren't the only ones to point out the resemblance. The positive comments continued, accompanied by a flurry of red heart emojis. Another simply called them "sisters" and added "gorgeous". A third called them "knockouts". In April, Amanda made headlines again by wearing a striking red dress in Dubai. She was again on holiday with her family and shared various photos of her outfit choices on Instagram. She also drew some positive comments from two other well-known stars. Beneath the photos, Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly and Loose Women's Ruth Langsford posted flame emojis. In related news, Amanda was reportedly left red-faced after accidentally flashing her workmen. Speaking on Heart FM, she revealed that she'd opted to have a time-lapse camera set up outside as she'd been doing some work in her garden. However, after it was set up, the electrician told her it had been rolling for a few days, much to Amanda's surprise, as she admitted that she's "always naked in her back garden". She said: "No word of a lie, I have definitely been naked and then for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me, from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him." Amanda explained that she had "no idea" the camera was up, and now "Andy's going to be reviewing this footage", so she needs it "deleted".

Heartbreaking question Fiona Phillips asked her husband 72 times on drive
Fiona Phillips's husband Martin Frizell has told how her advancing condition has left her increasingly confused and isolated – unable to understand why she is being taken to hospital In a deeply emotional interview, former This Morning editor Martin Frizell has told how his wife Fiona Phillips has been severely affected by early-onset Alzheimer's. Fiona was just 61 in 2022 when she received her devastating diagnosis, and the condition has already worsened dramatically. He told Newsnight 's Victoria Derbyshire: "I used to say good days and bad days, now I just say bad days or wretched days, I think wretched is a great word for it." He recalled one heartbreaking taxi ride on the way to a hospital appointment where Fiona, now 64, was completely disoriented: 'In the cab ride, she asked me, 'Where are we going' 72 times.' Martin explained that Fiona had to see doctors about an unexplained pain that may or may not be directly connected to her condition: 'She's got a secondary pain. We don't know where the pain's coming from. We don't know if it's physiological. 'I couldn't drive her because she panics, and it's bad enough just driving with that too. I wouldn't take her on public transport because I'm frightened.' He explained that Fiona still looks just as she did when she was a regular face on TV, and so there's a good chance that she might be approached by a member of the public, leading to confusion and distress. He said that Fiona couldn't understand why she was in the taxi, and kept repeating the same four words: 'I'd say, 'We're going to see the doctor and hopefully he'll take the pain away,' and then, literally 15 seconds later, [she'd say] 'Where are we going?'' In perhaps his most heartbreaking admission, Martin confessed that he would have preferred it if his wife had been diagnosed with cancer instead of Alzheimer's. "My mum died from [cancer],' he said, 'My father had cancer, so I know what cancer can do. 'But I don't think Fiona is ever going to be able to taste a glass of wine again, walk on a beach properly again, go on holiday again, go to the theatre, go to the cinema, drive her car, or cook a meal for her children.' He added: 'My worry is that on her deathbed, whenever that may come, and hopefully it's a long time from now, will she even know who we are?' With cancer, Martin said, there is always a chance that the condition can go into remission, or at least be slowed down. But he added that, by contrast, there is no hope when it comes to Alzheimer's. In November 2007, Fiona appeared in the documentary The Killer in Me, during which former England footballer John Barnes, political commentator Andrew Neil, and Heart FM DJ Toby Anstis all found out their risk of developing 11 major diseases, including cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer's disease. In August 2008, Fiona stepped down from helming ITV 's flagship Breakfast show GMTV Today, and, in a poignant moment, Martin shared a clip of her last words on the show, saying : 'It's been such a privilege sharing my mornings with you, and I won't forget you.' This week sees the publication of Fiona's memoir, Remember When: My Life with Alzheimer's, which is co-written by Martin and journalist Alison Phillips. The book charts the relentless progress of her condition — including memory loss, impaired speech, and difficulty with everyday tasks — it also highlights the challenges faced by those with early-onset dementia and their carers.

Amanda Holden's co-star complains about her 'naked' on air admissions
Amanda Holden has a habit of oversharing on Heart FM with her co-star Jamie Theakston seemingly making it clear that he's had enough of her 'naked' confessions. Amanda Holden's co-star Jamie Theakston has voiced a "complaint" about her "naked" confession. The pair have hosted the breakfast show on Heart FM together since 2019. On one of their recent shows, a listener called in to reveal they had been informed by their child's school about an "incident" that had occured as they completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award. The listener explained that the youngsters had followed a footpath that took them through a nudist beach. They added that the teachers had reassured that 'everything was okay' but they 'just wanted to let them know'. Amanda and Jamie were both left gobsmacked by the story, the Mirror reports. Jamie, 54, joked: 'You know those kids have done that on purpose. I love the fact that the teachers are concerned about their mental health and the kids have had an absolute hoot.' Amanda then replied: 'Mental health seeing a bunch of nudey wrinklers on the beach? No disrespect, you know I'm naked most of the time in my house. Naked barbecues, naked lawnmowing…' Jamie responded: 'We're not going to get 16 seconds of this are we?' His comment prompted laughter from Amanda, who recently revealed her love of being naked at home led to an awkward moment. She described the situation as 'potentially terrible'. When Jamie asked if the moment was 'career-threatening,' Amanda replied 'yes'. The incident happened when Amanda revealed she has recently had a camera installed in her garden. Amanda explained that she had her trusty electrician Andy set up the device but she was under the impression it would not be operating for a few days. She explained: "I get him round the other day because I needed something else putting up, and he goes, 'I'll have a look at what we're doing to make sure the angle is alright on that camera', he said, 'It's been going for the last couple of days'. 'I went, 'I beg your pardon? !' He said, 'Oh yeah, I've downloaded the app', he said, 'I just need to make sure the angle is right'." Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda then turned to co-star Jamie and said: "Can you imagine what I've got up to in my garden in a couple of days?" As Jamie tried to guess what Amanda may have done in her garden, she confessed that she had mowed the lawn naked and showed her chest to her husband Chris Hughes. She said: 'I'm always naked in my back garden. "I've definitely been naked, and for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him, because I thought this is funny and I went 'wahoo' [flashing] like that." Amanda insists she forgot the camera was there because it blended in with her drainpipe. She said: "I had no idea it was up, and now Andy is going to be reviewing this footage and I need it all deleted". Amanda explained that the electrician could view the camera remotely through his mobile phone, with all recordings being automatically saved to a digital file. She added: "It exists! Naked lawnmowing and me flashing my boobs to my husband". Jamie replied that her escapades would make TV gold, which she playfully embraced. "I'd go [to] Netflix Netflix can have it". Addressing Andy on air in case he was listening, she said: "If Andy is listening, get round [to] my house! Delete [the footage from] Monday and Tuesday. "And I'm not joking Andy, I need that camera turned off because I've got all the school mums coming round, and that is terrible."

Mark Wright hits back at awkward Michelle Keegan question in rare family insight
Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan welcomed their first child, baby daughter Palma, in March this year and the former TOWIE star has now explained the true meaning behind her name New parents Mark Wright, 38, and Michelle Keegan, 38, have been the talk of the town since welcoming their baby daughter Palma in March, with her distinctive name sparking curiosity among fans. Mark has now revealed the inspiration behind their choice of name for their bundle of joy during a chat with his Heart FM colleague, Olly Murs, 41, who's also expecting his second child with wife Amelia. During a discussion about baby names, Olly queried Mark: "In the break we were talking about baby names. When you picked Palma, it's such a beautiful name, was there any reason behind that?". Mark shared the backstory: "So, in America, a lot of people call their kid Palmer, P-a-l-m-e-r, and we liked it, we just thought it sounded good with Wright. "And then we were like, hang on a minute, we're lucky enough to have a place in Majorca, in Palma, Palma is our favourite place in the world to go to. So we thought, let's just change the end of the e-r and change it to an a, so, because we love Palma, there you go!" Olly couldn't help but tease his mate by hinting that perhaps the Spanish city was where little Palma was conceived, jokingly saying: "So is that where you and Michelle, you know, wink-wink, had a bit of.." However, Mark quickly steered the conversation away, mindful of their listeners, and exclaimed: "Moving on! By the way her dad is a big fan of our show so...," leading to an apologetic response from Olly: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!". The former TOWIE celeb playfully retorted, "Get to that next point Mursy! So what are you talking about baby names for?". Discussing impending fatherhood, X Factor 's Olly divulged that baby names were swirling in his head as his second tot is "coming very, very soon", prompting Mark to query: "How long have you got now, by the way?". Olly, known for the chart-topper 'Heart Skips a Beat', kept it coy: "I can't tell you. You know I like to keep things private, but Amelia is very big at the moment, so we're super excited." Expressing the whirl of emotions ahead, he added, "We're starting to get nervous, that excited feeling, nerves, we're coming to the business end of it now, so it's gonna be an interesting few months." Mark couldn't resist offering some naming advice, stating: "Apparently 40% of people name their kids after something they love, hence, Palma, which I didn't realise until I saw this stat." Then he teased Olly with suggestions based on personal loves, saying: "So what I'm thinking, if you were to name your child after something you love, then maybe it could be called Peanut Butter? Or, what about Peanut!". Initially hesitant about the peanut-themed names, Olly revealed a fun tidbit that he and Amelia have affectionately dubbed her blossoming belly Crumpet, owing to her frequent yearning for the buttery snack during her pregnancy.
