Amanda Holden's co-star issues complaint about her ‘naked' on-air confessions

Daily Mirror5 days ago
Amanda Holden and co-star Jamie Theakston regularly share personal insights into their life on their Heart Radio show, with the Britain's Got Talent judge making a 'naked' admission
Amanda Holden's co-star Jamie Theakston had a 'complaint' about her 'naked' confession. The pair have presented the breakfast show on Heart FM together since 201 9.

On a recent show, a listener wrote in to say they had received a message from their child's school saying there had been an 'incident' as they completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award. The listener revealed the youngsters had followed a foodpath that went through a nudist beach.

The listener said 'everything was okay' but the teachers at the school 'just wanted to let them know'. It left the two presenters taken aback by the story.

Jamie, 54, joked: 'You know those kids have done that on purpose. I love the fact that the teachers are concerned about their mental health and the kids have had an absolute hoot.'
A stunned Amanda replied: 'Mental health seeing a bunch of nudey wrinklers on the beach? No disrespect, you know I'm naked most of the time in my house. Naked barbecues, naked lawnmowing…'

Jamie responded: 'We're not going to get 16 seconds of this are we?' Which prompted laughter from Amanda.
Amanda, 54, recently revealed her love of being naked at home led to an awkward moment recently. She described the moment as 'potentially terrible'.
When Jamie asked if the moment was 'career-threatening,' Amanda replied 'yes'. It was then Amanda revealed she has recently had a camera installed in her garden.

Amanda explained that her trusted electrician Andy had positioned the device, and she was under the impression it wouldn't be operational for a few days. She explained: "I get him round the other day because I needed something else putting up, and he goes, 'I'll have a look at what we're doing to make sure the angle is alright on that camera', he said, 'It's been going for the last couple of days'.
'I went, 'I beg your pardon? !' He said, 'Oh yeah, I've downloaded the app', he said, 'I just need to make sure the angle is right'."

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda then turned to co-star Jamie and said: "Can you imagine what I've got up to in my garden in a couple of days?"
As Jamie speculated what Amanda could have done in her garden, she confessed she had mowed the lawn naked and showed her chest to husband Chris Hughes. She added: 'I'm always naked in my back garden.
"I've definitely been naked, and for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him, because I thought this is funny and I went 'wahoo' [flashing] like that."

Amanda explained she forgot the camera was there because it blended in with her drainpipe. "I had no idea it was up, and now Andy is going to be reviewing this footage and I need it all deleted," she revealed.
Amanda then explained that the electrician could view the camera remotely through his mobile phone, with all recordings being automatically saved to a digital file. "It exists! Naked lawnmowing and me flashing my boobs to my husband," she added.
Jamie playfully proposed that her escapades would make TV gold, which she playfully embraced. "I'd go [to] Netflix, Netflix can have it," she quipped.
Desperately hoping her electrician was tuned in, she made an urgent appeal: "If Andy is listening, get round [to] my house! Delete [the footage from] Monday and Tuesday.
"And I'm not joking Andy, I need that camera turned off because I've got all the school mums coming round, and that is terrible."

Amanda Holden does one thing twice a year 'to prove husband exists but he can't stand it'

Amanda Holden has been married to her husband, Chris Hughes, for 14 years, and the star has now shared the one thing she has to do a few times a year to prove he's still part of her family Television star Amanda Holden has revealed she performs one particular ritual twice annually to demonstrate that husband Chris Hughes actually exists. Amanda, 54, has been married to Chris, 51, for 22 years, yet insists that despite the decades together, their union still feels incredibly fresh. The duo first crossed paths in 2003 before exchanging vows in 2008, and share two daughters, Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13. ‌ Nevertheless, the Britain's Got Talent judge said there are certain activities she enjoys that Chris tries to avoid, including maintaining an active social media presence. ‌ Consequently, Amanda reveals that several times annually, she compels record producer Chris to feature on her social media platforms to demonstrate he remains among the living. ‌ She revealed to The Times: "It does still feel fresh. We're very different people. He can't stand the limelight, hates red carpets, hates turning up anywhere with me, so he doesn't. "Twice a year he gets forced to go on my Instagram just to prove he exists. I will only listen to him on the business side of life. In other ways I'm very spontaneous and don't listen to him at all." ‌ This marks not the first occasion Amanda has discussed her marriage, acknowledging earlier this year that, similar to every couple, they continue experiencing highs and lows. She told Hello!: "We have ups and downs like everyone else. But when I was looking at the pain and suffering that some of the people we were working with were going through, I felt so grateful that I had somebody in my life with no complications. "My husband and I always have this joke where we go: 'God, our relationship still feels so fresh.' ‌ "Twenty-two years does feel like a long time, but it still feels new to me. I think that's because it's ever-evolving." Amanda also candidly discussed her personal preferences for relaxation. When the Times asked whether she preferred a novel or Netflix, she confessed that it all hinges on the season. She elaborated: "I have the biggest pile of books I'm taking on holiday, and I'm even more excited about reading them than I am about seeing long-lost friends. "But in winter I'm up to my eyeballs in Netflix and Amazon Prime and Apple TV+. I love The Morning Show and Bad Sisters. The Handmaid's Tale is hands-down the best thing I've ever seen."

TV star in 24-hour fundraiser in support of Scots brothers rowing Pacific ocean

Scotland's Home of the Year judge and architect Danny Campbell has supported Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean's mission to become the fastest people to row the Pacific. A tv star has rowed for 24 hours in support of the three Scots brothers trying to become the fastest people to row the Pacifi c. ‌ Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean are 100 days into their 120-day unsupported rowing challenge to cross 9000 miles of open ocean to raise £1million for clean water projects. The brothers left Peru in March on the mission to reach Australia. ‌ To mark the milestone, friends and supporters joined the trio virtually with a 24-hour row in Glasgow, led by Scotland's Home of the Year judge and architect Danny Campbell. ‌ Rather than braving 30-foot waves, salt sores and sea sickness, supporters took turns on indoor rowing machines at The Social Hub Glasgow. Teams of three rowed in shifts from 8am Saturday to 8am Sunday. Danny - a Social Hub ambassador and close friend of middle brother Jamie Maclean, with whom he played rugby for years - was part of a team of three which rowed more than 310,000m. ‌ Ahead of the event, Jamie gave Danny and Scotland's Home of the Year co-stars Banjo Beale and Anna Campbell-Jones a virtual tour of their tiny boat named Rose Emily in memory of their late sister. They are currently approaching Fiji. Danny is no stranger to crazy fitness challenges having recently completed a 10k in crocs for mental health charities. For this event, he wore trainers rather than his famous crocs. He said: 'That was incredibly difficult, but I think that's the point. Doing it indoors, in comfortable surroundings, for one day, is one of the hardest things I've ever done. ‌ 'They've been out there for 100 days in a tiny boat being tossed around like a sausage in a frying pan. What we did was a drop in the ocean, but hopefully it helps raise awareness and funds for a vital cause. 'Since I met Jamie, we've always tried to outdo each other. But I think he's finally got me beat.' ‌ Speaking from the middle of the Pacific, Jamie Maclean (32) said: 'We've had people rowing for 24 hours from Australia to Edinburgh. And now Glasgow. 'We're so grateful for the support. Who knows, maybe this is the start of something and 24-hour rows will become the next big fitness trend? 'Perhaps Danny will join us on the ocean one day?' ‌ The 24-hour activation was hosted and sponsored by The Social Hub, part of the brand's wider commitment to community wellbeing through fitness, nutrition and mental health support. James Rennie, Partnership Activations Manager at The Social Hub Glasgow, added: 'We've hosted everything from Pilates to HIIT classes — but this was something entirely different. 'We were proud to welcome Danny and the team to support such a worthy cause. Now it's time for everyone to rest those arms — they've earned it!' Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Amanda Holden brands herself 'new Kris Jenner' as daughters' career move revealed

Amanda Holden admitted feeling like she is following in iconic momager Kris Jenner's footsteps as her two teenage daughters have been cast to walk in London Fashion Week Amanda Holden admitted to feeling like she is the UK's answer to Kris Jenner after both her daughter's landed jobs walking the catwalk at London Fashion popular TV and Radio presenter joked about her prowess as a 'momager' after confirming that Lexi, 19, who is signed to Storm Model Management will be joined at the lavish fashion bash by her younger sister Hollie, 13. ‌ Amanda, 54, is proud to admit that both of her daughters are already following in her showbiz footsteps. Speaking about their blossoming modelling careers as nepo babies she said, "Lexi's good, she's sort of dipped her toe in and she's done a couple of photoshoots. ‌ "She is loving university as well but what she doesn't like doing is taking time off, so I think she'll work it out but it's something she's enjoying. She's doing London Fashion Week again in September and we've actually just heard that Hollie is going to be doing it as well." ‌ Amanda continued to the Daily Mail, "It's definitely something I think Hollie is going to enjoy she's going to die when I tell her she's doing London Fashion Week this year. I literally just heard she got it and she's gone for the week with my mum in Cornwall so I'll have to ring her after." She then joked about her role in their success emulating Kris's role as manager of her hugely successful daughters adding, "With both girls doing it, I do feel like Kris Jenner now. We need our own reality show. Oh my god, yeah here we go, I could see that." ‌ However, while Amanda may have hopes of a family reality TV show, it seems that not everyone would be happy to take part. While they have the celebrity friends to make it interesting - including Simon Cowell's son Eric and Alesha Dixon's daughter Azura - Amanda admits that Amanda's Lexi "wouldn't want to be on camera." She shared, "But one of my daughters would do [a TV show] but Lexi wouldn't want to be on camera, that's irony, whereas Hollie would, definitely." ‌ She also confirmed that Hollie loves TV so much she enjoys coming to work with her when she is filming Britain's Got Talent, where they "put her to work" as a runner and causes "mayhem" with Simon's son Eric. Amanda said, "She loves coming with me to Britain's Got Talent, she makes Simon his ginger tea, she likes to be a little runner, so when she comes, they put her to work. "She likes the crew hoodie, the snacks, she delivers snacks to the desk, goes around with Eric, creating absolute mayhem behind the scenes, god knows what they get up to anyway. "She doesn't watch any of the show though, although she did when she decided to press the golden buzzer anyway. She didn't get a slap on the wrist because Eric was with her, so that's all good."
