Kanye West changes his name once again after using 'Ye'. Fans say 'should've been hehe cause he's a joke'

According to a report by The U.S. Sun on June 9, new business documents filed in California suggest that the rapper, who legally changed his name to 'Ye' in 2021, is now going by 'Ye Ye'. The filings were submitted by West's chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani. Three of West's companies — Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label LLC, and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc — now reportedly list the name 'Ye Ye' in official records. The change appears to be the latest in a series of rebrandings from the 48-year-old artist and entrepreneur. What remains unclear is whether Kanye West, who rose to fame with hits like 'Stronger' and 'Gold Digger', has also legally changed his personal name to 'Ye Ye'. So far, he has made no public announcement on the matter. Fans reacted with a mix of humour and confusion. While some expressed curiosity about the new name's meaning, others joked online about the constant changes. 'Should've been HEHE cause he's a joke,' one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another said, 'He is off his meds again oh god.' A third person wrote, 'ain't nobody calling him that.' West, who often makes headlines for his unpredictable decisions, has not responded to the speculation. As of now, only the business paperwork shows the updated name — but knowing Kanye, it may just be a matter of time before 'Ye Ye' becomes part of his public persona. Bianca Censori, the Australian architect and wife of rapper Kanye West, has officially registered her first company in the United States. The firm, named Bianca Censori Inc., was filed in California last month, according to state records. Despite the solo branding, Kanye West is still involved in the venture. The 'Heartless' rapper is listed as a director of the company, and his long-time lawyer, Manoj Shah, is handling the legal side of the operation.

Every celebrity mentioned during Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking trial — and why

Several celebrities have already been mentioned during Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking trial since it started on May 5. Kanye West, Michael B. Jordan, Kid Cudi and Mike Myers were among the first celebrities spoken of when the trial kicked off in New York City's Manhattan federal court. While the group wasn't accused of any wrongdoing, they were among the names jurors were warned might be talked about. Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura also took the stand, naming several celebrities. She recalled how the music mogul allegedly abused her during their on-again, off-again romance from 2007 to 2018. Below, read about every celebrity mentioned to date. West, mentioned during jury selection on May 5, has been in Combs' corner since the latter's September 2024 arrest. The 'Heartless' rapper, who hasn't been accused of wrongdoing, released a new track, featuring his daughter North West and Combs, titled 'Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine' on March 15. A few days later, he shared a prerecorded phone conversation with the Bad Boys Records founder via social media. At the time, Combs warned Kanye to 'be careful' of people trying to 'end' him, and thanked the 'Bound 2' crooner for looking after his seven children. Myers was also named during jury selection, though he's not accused of anything. The 'Saturday Night Live' alum's relationship with Combs is unknown. Michelle Williams was also name-dropped during jury selection. The Destiny's Child alum wasn't accused of any wrongdoing. Jordan hasn't been accused of any crimes, but was mentioned during jury selection. He famously dated Ventura in 2016 during the her break from Combs. When Ventura took the stand on May 13, she recalled her decade-long romance with Combs. The 'Me & U' singer alleged the 'Last Night' crooner would have her participate in sex and drug-filled parties called 'Freak-Offs,' starting when she was 22 years old. When asked how long the parties would last, the hitmaker responded, 'significant periods of time … the longest was four days.' Ventura claimed that the 'Freak-Offs' left her with 'a lot of stomach issues and gastrointestinal issues from taking drugs.' Ventura also alleged that Combs would often abuse her by hitting her on the head, knocking her down and stomping on her if she was down. She alleged her ex would tell her to 'fix [her] face or watch [her] mouth' before 'hitting' her face. An unedited video of Combs abusing Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Calif., in 2016, was released during the trial. When Ventura testified, she mentioned she got together with the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper while he was with the late Kim Porter. The 'Me & U' singer alleged her sexual relationship with Combs started 'many years' before they took their romance public in 2007. 'He just didn't want it to look bad, but also knew it was because of his children and personal things like his family,' Ventura claimed, per JustJared. Porter and Combs, who shared three kids, started dating in the '90s and split in 2007. She died in 2018 from pneumonia. Drake was named in Ventura's testimony, claiming she was abused by Combs ahead of attending the Canadian rapper's 2013 OVO Festival in Toronto. Ventura still attended the festival and was seen with French Montana. She recalled having to style her hair in a particular way to hide an alleged injury. Ventura returned to testify on May 14 and mentioned Prince. The 'Is It You' singer recalled how she went to the 'Kiss' singer's private concert in the basement of his Los Angeles home. She recalled the 'once in a lifetime experience' and claimed she didn't tell Combs she would be attending. 'He would have definitely not let me go,' Ventura said. Ventura alleged to have seen Combs shortly after arriving. She claimed to have 'caught a glimpse of him and [she] ran out as fast as [she] could.' 'I knew he was angry at me,' she testified, alleging how he went to the hotel where she was staying and beat her. Ventura recalled meeting Kid Cudi — born Scott Mescudi — in December 2011. The 'Official Girl' singer claimed not to have told Combs about her romance with the 'Day 'n' Nite' singer, explaining they weren't in a good place. Combs, however, allegedly found out about Ventura's fling during a 'Freak-Off' when he went through her phone. He allegedly retaliated by grabbing a wine bottle opener and threatening her.

Kanye West storms out of Piers Morgan interview — again

Kanye West stormed out of an interview with Piers Morgan interview Tuesday, just as he did in 2023. The 47-year-old 'Heartless' rapper, who now legally goes by Ye, appeared alongside pal Sneako on Morgan's 'Uncensored,' speaking from Mallorca, Spain. Ye accused the BBC broadcaster, 60, of trying to 'take inches off my d–' when Morgan referred to his 32 million X followers. Morgan ultimately corrected this to 33 million — Ye's follower count sits at 33.3 million, at present. 'I'm a gift,' said Ye. 'Why do all you people in media act like you haven't played my songs at your weddings or graduations or funerals or when your child was born? You take somebody that's living, like a Lennon or a Michael Jackson, and you take all this time to just like— that nuance right there, it's idiotic. It just shows the hate you put out there for people who put love. There's so much love—' Morgan cut in: 'With all due respect, Ye, what are you talking about? I haven't said anything?' 'OK, now you're not taking accountability, or responsibility. … Sir, this is what you get for now. We can circle back when you can count,' said Ye, before walking off-screen. This left Sneako, who Morgan would later dub 'Andrew Tate lite' to say, 'That's it for Ye.' Sneako insisted that Morgan was 'trying to patronize, very intentionally' when the broadcaster initially referred to Ye as Kanye West and cited the wrong follower count. Morgan challenged this, reminding Sneako that he and Ye 'd–ed us around yesterday,' having blown off the initially scheduled interview. 'You kept all my crew in Spain, and here, waiting and then wasted their time. And you got us all back now, and you've wasted our time again,' said Morgan. Given Morgan couldn't ask Ye the intended questions, he directed them at Sneako: 'What is his obsession with Hitler? Why is he so rampantly antisemitic?' Sneako refused to answer on behalf of Ye and repeatedly dodged questions about his own comfort being associated with someone who was, later that today, dropping a track called 'Heil, Hitler.' Instead, Sneako insisted Ye 'says he loves everyone. He says he loves Jews. He says he loves Hitler,' and walked off himself. ___ © 2025 New York Daily News.
