Texas A&M's Henry Coleman reflects on his time in Bryan-College Station

Texas A&M's Henry Coleman reflects on his time in Bryan-College Station It's not every day you come across a player who exemplifies everything you want as a team leader and university representative. Texas A&M was lucky enough to find such a player in outgoing senior Texas A&M basketball forward Henry Coleman III. Coleman transferred to Texas A&M for the 2021-22 season after spending his freshman season at Duke. After playing at A&M, he was one of five players to log 1,000 points, 600 rebounds, and 100 steals. His accomplishments off the court are just as impressive as those on the court. Below is a list of those accomplishments. Leadership Roles: Served as the Chair of the SEC Basketball Leadership Council for his dedication to guiding and inspiring his peers (2023-24) Participant in the SEC Spring meeting (2022-24) Nolan Richardson National Player of the Year (2025) Community Sevice: Named to the SEC Community Service Team (2023-24) Mental Health Advocacy: He played a leadership role in the F.A.C.E. (Fostering Athletes' Continued Excellence) Mental Health initiative, which focuses on raising awareness, building community, and advocating for mental health among student-athletes. Every team needs a few Henry Colemans, and his contributions to college basketball will not be forgotten. He gave his all to the Aggie community and is grateful for his time in Bryan-College Station. Henry Coleman III's legacy extends far beyond basketball, embodying excellence, resilience, and leadership both on and off the court. We wish him a long and successful career in whatever comes next in his bright future. Aggie fans react to Texas A&M's 91-79 March Madness loss Michigan in round two

Aggie fans react to Texas A&M's 91-79 March Madness loss Michigan in round two What a Last Dance for @aggiembk. Especially thinking about the core that's been together the last 3+ seasons: Henry Coleman, Andersson Garcia, Wade Taylor, Hayden Hefner, Manny Obaseki, and Solomon Washington (only one who can come back). Been a pleasure watching y'all 🫡 — Ben Peck - ALL IN AGGIES 🤠👍 (@TheBenPeck) March 23, 2025 The Texas A&M Aggies 2025 campaign is over after a 91-79 loss to Michigan in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Texas A&M basketball fans endured heartbreak as the Aggies fell short against Michigan in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolverines clawed their way back in the second half, taking a decisive lead with six minutes remaining and never relinquishing control. Key factors in the Aggies' loss were free-throw disparity and rebounding challenges, with Michigan sinking 10 more free throws and securing nine additional boards. Despite A&M's resilience, these stats proved crucial. Additionally, Texas A&M struggled to stay consistent in their offensive strategy. Though Pharrel Payne delivered a standout performance, scoring 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting and going 6-of-9 from the free-throw line, the Aggies leaned heavily on three-point shots late in the game. They attempted 27 threes and made just 25.9%, a choice that left fans questioning why Payne didn't get more touches in the final moments. While the loss stings, the Aggies' 2025 season featured inspiring highs. Wade Taylor IV cemented his legacy as the program's all-time leading scorer, and the team made history with their upset of No. 1 Auburn. Texas A&M basketball under Coach Buzz Williams displayed unwavering determination and unity, captivating fans throughout the journey. As the seniors shared their final time on the basketball court, we would like to wish them well as they move on to the next chapter in their lives. Below are reactions from Aggie fans and the media after the game. It's been a journey and fun to watch One final huddle for the 2025 Texas A&M basketball team A&M players huddled on the court before heading back to the locker room: — Alex Miller (@AlexMill20) March 22, 2025 62 combined free throws are just too many for a Tournament game And that's a wrap on the 2024-25 season, with Michigan winning 91-79. What an absolutely infuriating outcome. It's hard enough to win a game, but when three guys wearing stripes decide to butt it. — Mark Passwaters (@mbpRivals) March 22, 2025 The defense struggled down the stretch 57 points given up in the second half — Barstool Texas A&M (@BarstoolTexasAM) March 22, 2025 Payne will be a major building block for next year Ready to move on from this era of Aggie basketball. It was fun but always so disappointing. Build around Payne and turn the page — Jack Smith (@Jack_smitty7) March 22, 2025 Payne scored another 20 point+ game, but they came up just short What a performance from Pharrel Payne 👏 Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for an Aggies win 😔 — ESPN BET (@ESPNBET) March 23, 2025 This was a special team and to see them loss in round two is heartbreaking Legitimately so sad for this team… This group of guys will be Aggie legends for a long time though. Awesome group of guys. I wish they could've had a better end result. — Aggie Sports 365 (@365Aggie) March 22, 2025 It's unfortunate that Payne didn't get more touches late in the game Texas A&M took a 70-66 lead with 7:58 remaining. Pharrel Payne, who scored a career-high 26 points, did not attempt a shot the rest of the way. — Carter Karels (@CarterKarels) March 23, 2025 With a major roster turnover will that include the coaching staff? Buzz has yet to see the second weekend. Conversations need to be had. — Garrett Pelham (@garrett_p11) March 22, 2025 The end of an Era One of the Aggie greats ♥️ Thank you, Wade Taylor.#MarchMadness — NCAA March Madness (@MarchMadnessMBB) March 23, 2025 Coleman was a key contributor and rewrote the record books Henry Coleman ended his stellar Aggie career as the all-time leader in offensive rebounds, 4th in defensive rebounds, and 9th in total rebounds. Congrats on a helluva career Henry! — Aggie Sports 365 (@365Aggie) March 23, 2025 It was a fun group to watch and for the last time for this squad. Gig'em Ags! An incredible group. Everything Buzz Williams and three Aggies said on the Texas A&M vs Yale matchup

Everything Buzz Williams and three Aggies said on the Texas A&M vs Yale matchup Texas A&M (22-10, 11-7 SEC) punched its ticket a while ago and just needed to play out the rest of the season to see exactly where they would land. March Madness 2025 did not disappoint as the NCAA Selection Committee unveiled the much-anticipated tournament brackets on March 16, 2025. To the surprise of many, both Texas and North Carolina secured spots among the 68 competing teams. Texas A&M Men's Basketball, under the guidance of head coach Buzz Williams, achieved one of its highest seedings in program history—earning a No. 4 seed in the South Region. Their first challenge? A first-round matchup against the 13-seed Yale Bulldogs in Denver. The Aggies' impressive season has been a rollercoaster, but their determination paid off with a coveted spot in the tournament bracket. This veteran-heavy roster, led by multiple seniors who have played under Williams for three seasons, is poised to leave its mark on the tournament. What better time than now for these Aggie seniors to make an unforgettable run in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, capping off their college careers in style? After the game, Buzz Williams, Manny Obaseki, Henry Coleman, and Zhuric Phelps spoke to the media, after A&M was selected as a 4-seed in the NCAA Tournament. Buzz Williams believe his team is ready for any type of team they face in the tournament "We've played against every style of team that there is. There isn't any relief in the caliber of opponent or the location. If 14 teams from your league are in, that speaks to the metrics the committee looks at. We're as prepared as possible." The extra rest gave them time to relax a bit before jumping into the NCAA Tournament "I don't think it hurts you. This is our first time not playing in the SEC Tournament semifinals or finals in four years. We had a whole 48 hours to concentrate on us. I don't think that's bad." Coach Buzz speaks on the experience of his team "Our group has three NCAA Tournament games of experience. That's healthy. Hopefully, we can accumulate more over the next few weeks." How will playing in Denver affect his team's stamina "Yes, I think it matters. You need oxygen. They say it takes 72 hours to adjust. The good thing is every team will have those same problems. Every team will experience that in Denver, not just us." Henry Coleman believes playing their brand of basketball will put pressure on Yale "We're going to stick to our game plan. We'll play at a high level and rebound the ball. We're going to look at film and do the right things. We're going to play Texas A&M basketball. They still have to guard us too." The SEC was the best conference this year with 14 team making the tournament "I think that speaks to the magnitude of the SEC. The coaches, players, and support staff have taken it to another level. When you look across all sports, the SEC is the best in every sport." Coleman believes the SEC tournament loss will serve as just another learning experience for them "We learn after wins and we learn after losses. We were right back in the gym preparing for what's next. We didn't perform at our best. We knew that, we got back and we learned." Senior guard Manny Obaseki is excited for Buzz and his teammates say tournament play is a few days away "I'm excited for Coach Buzz to reach another tournament. I'm thankful for how he's led us as a leader. I'm excited for guys like Zhuric Phelps and Pharrel Payne who have never been before. I'm excited to go." 4-seed Texas A&M will face 13-seed Yale on Thursday in the Denver Region of the South Bracket. Senior power forward Henry Coleman proclaims that 'nobody has doubt or fear' at Texas A&M

Senior power forward Henry Coleman proclaims that 'nobody has doubt or fear' at Texas A&M The Texas A&M men's basketball team was upset 94-89 in double overtime against the Texas Longhorns in the second round of the SEC Tournament, which was a tough pill to swallow for Aggies senior power forward Henry Coleman III. "It's everybody's character. Everybody on this team has been through something. We've gone through trials and tribulations. We're going to get back, go to sleep and get to work. Nobody has doubt or fear in that room," Coleman explained Thursday. "I thought we competed on both ends of the floor. Every single person in that locker room wanted to be in the fight. We fought in the middle of the ring and never backed down. I'm proud of this team. "(Wade Taylor IV) has a super high basketball IQ. He watches a ton of film and studies everything. I'm not shocked at all with his performance." Texas A&M (22-10) will learn its fate for the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday, March 16, at 5 p.m. CT. The first round begins Thursday. Latest prediction and betting odds for Texas A&M vs Florida basketball game

Latest prediction and betting odds for Texas A&M vs Florida basketball game No. 12 Texas A&M (20-8, 9-6 SEC) faces its most challenging stretch of games to end the regular season, set to face No. 3 Florida on Saturday night in Gainsville (FL) amid the Aggies' three-game losing streak that has taken a toll on the fan base. For head coach Buzz Williams, experiencing losing streaks is common, but this late in the season could jeopardize the Aggies' momentum leading up to the NCAA Tournament. Furthermore, if they incur two or more losses before the SEC Tournament in two weeks, it will adversely affect the program's seeding, which was previously as high as a 2-seed just two weeks ago. On Wednesday, Texas A&M had a chance to get back in the win column against visiting Vanderbilt, but due to another poor shooting night, the Aggies got behind early before the Commodores pulled away in the second half behind guard Tyler Nickel, who hit a career high seven 3-pointers. Ignoring that A&M's 3-point defense allowed yet another opponent to become Steph Curry for one night, the Aggies' late run to nearly tie the game proved that when their backs are against the wall, this team is nearly unbeatable. Still, the lack of early offensive identity will continue to be this team's achiles' heel unless something changes. Before facing Florida, senior guard Wade Taylor IV is just 36 points away from breaking Texas A&M's all-time scoring record. Still, his inconsistent shooting has taken away from his shining moment, finishing 3-10 against Vanderbilt despite scoring 21 points. This will be a "strength vs. strength" game where the Aggies once again need to limit one of the higher-scoring teams in the country (83.6 ppg) from pulling away in the second half. In contrast, Taylor needs to focus on taking efficient shots and feed forward Pharrel Payne and Henry Coleman in the paint. Here are the updated betting odds before Texas A&M and Florida square off Saturday night. Texas A&M vs. Florida game odds: All college basketball odds via FanDuel: Spread: 9.5 Money Line: Texas A&M +365, Florida -490 Over-Under: 110 Texas A&M Key Players: Wade Taylor IV Zhuric Phelps Pharrel Payne Henry Coleman III Solomon Washington Florda Key Players: Walter Clayton Jr. Will Richard Alex Condon Alijah Martin Thomas Haugh Texas A&M vs. Florida prediction, pick: Texas A&M is a 9.5-point underdog for good reason, as the Gators rank among the hottest teams in the nation with championship aspirations. While Texas A&M's offensive struggles probably won't resolve this season, the Aggies have the potential to improve by concentrating on getting the ball to Pharrel Payne and minimizing turnovers. A significant matchup is Wade Taylor and Zhuric Phelps against Walter Clayton Jr. Although Clayton leads the Gators in scoring, his defensive skills are lacking, enabling Phelps to penetrate the paint early and establish a rhythm. However, the biggest worry for the Aggies is facing forwards Alex Condon and Thomas Haugh, whose collective size advantage could be an issue. Realistically, I don't see Texas A&M pulling off the upset based on how the team is currently performing, especially on the road against the second best team in the SEC.
