Türkiye, Egypt Explore Launch of Joint University, Deeper Education Ties
Israa Farhan Türkiye and Egypt are deepening their collaboration in the education sector, with plans underway to establish a Turkish-Egyptian University and expand academic partnerships. The announcement came from Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, following high-level discussions during the visit of the President of Türkiye's Higher Education Council to Cairo. In a post on platform X, Ambassador Şen confirmed that both sides discussed 'implementing the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on higher education', reaching consensus on 'various cooperation models, including the establishment of a Turkish-Egyptian University.' He also noted that 'Turkish universities can open departments in Egypt and are eager to engage with cooperation proposals from Egyptian institutions.' Türkiye currently hosts over 10,000 Egyptian students across its 209 universities as part of a broader internationalization strategy. The ambassador emphasized that 'Türkiye is committed to its internationalization strategy and welcomes Egyptian students.' He added that 'Our Maarif Foundation and education-focused NGOs are open to setting up educational institutions in Egypt.' Highlighting the strategic value of education-industry linkages, Şen stated that 'Türkiye's experience underscores the need to enhance university-industry partnerships and prioritize vocational and technical education to meet development demands.' He also suggested that Turkish firms based in Egypt could partner with local authorities to create 'vocational training centers tailored to industry needs.' Şen concluded by underlining the significance of Türkiye's cooperation with Egypt, calling it 'a leading education hub in the Arab world and Africa.' Higher Education Council Revises Credit Transfer Hours for Bridging Students in Universities During its recent session chaired by Dr. Azmi Mahafza, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Higher Education Council decided to amend the number of credit hours transferable for intermediate diploma students who are bridging into Jordanian official and private universities, effective from the 2024/2025 academic year. اضافة اعلان According to the decision, Jordanian universities will equate courses studied by students at the intermediate university diploma level—whether completed inside or outside Jordan—provided that the content match is at least 80%. The maximum transferable credit hours will be 48 hours for two-year programs and 64 hours for three-year programs. The decision applies to students admitted in the 2024/2025 academic year as well as to all students who will be admitted in future years under bridging programs. Mohannad Al-Khatib, Media Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Director of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit, and the Ministry's spokesperson, emphasized the importance of this decision in achieving academic fairness and enhancing opportunities for diploma students to continue higher education under standards that ensure competence and quality. TG ICET 2025 Results Declared: 90.83% Pass, Check Scores at tgche.ac.in
The results of ICET 2025, conducted for admissions to MBA and MCA courses in Telangana, have been announced. The TG ICET results were released by the Chairman of the Higher Education Council, Balakrishna Reddy. A total of 90.83% of candidates passed the ICET exam. The exam was held on June 8 and 9 under the supervision of Mahatma Gandhi University. Out of 71,757 registered candidates, 64,938 appeared for the exam. The results have been made available on the official website: The exam was conducted online in four shifts across the state—two sessions per day: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The preliminary answer key was released on June 21, and candidates were allowed to raise objections from June 22 to June 26. The final results were declared on July 7.

Telangana offers 1.07 lakh engineering seats across 171 colleges for 2025 admissions
HYDERABAD: Telangana has 1,07,218 seats in 171 engineering colleges, Telangana State Council of Higher Education announced on Sunday. Out of the total seats, 76,795 (70 per cent) will be filled under the Convenor quota. The Council for Higher Education announced the details on Sunday when eligible and qualified candidates of TGEAPCET-2025 (Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) were allowed to exercise web options. The candidates can exercise their options till July 10. The last date for certificate verification is July 8. So far, 76,494 candidates have attended for certificate verification. A total of 95,654 candidates have paid the processing fee and booked slots. According to Sridevasena, commissioner of Technical Education and Convenor, TGEAPCET-2025, the candidates have to exercise as many options as possible to get allotment in a better college and course in the first phase itself. According to the Higher Education Council, 21 constituent engineering colleges of 10 universities have an intake of 5,808 engineering seats. Two colleges under private universities have a total of 1,800 seats, and out of that, 1,260 seats will be filled under the Convenor quota. A total of 99,610 seats are available in 148 private unaided engineering colleges. Out of these, 69,727 seats will be filled under the Convenor quota. The Higher Education Council has also given the break-up of seats available in all 47 engineering colleges. As many as 26,150 seats are available in computer sciences and engineering -- 12,495 in computer science and engineering (Artificial intelligence and machine learning) and 10,125 in electronics and communication engineering. There are 6,996 seats in computer science and engineering (Data Science), 4,301 in electrical and electronics engineering, 3,681 in information technology, 3,129 in civil engineering, and 2,994 in mechanical engineering. The convenor said 1,235 seats are available in artificial intelligence and data science, and 1,439 in computer science and engineering (cybersecurity). There are only 30 seats available in agricultural engineering, 42 each in artificial intelligence, automobile engineering, computer science and engineering (Networks), electronics, communication and instrumentation engineering, electronic and telematics, mechanical (Mechatronics) engineering, metallurgy and material engineering.
