22 Mar 2025 16:53 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Chariman of the Presidential Court, the Higher Organising Committee has revealed the agenda for the 32nd edition of the UAE President's Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses for 2025. With a total prize pool of more than Dh15 million, this edition's prizes are the largest and most valuable in the history of Arabian horse new agenda includes 17 races across 11 European venues, including Russia and Turkey, along with 5 Arab venues, and one in the US. The series begins in Tunisia on April 20, with prizes of 500,000 Tunisian Dinars, followed by Morocco on April 26, with prizes of 250,000 Euros, and then France on May 11, with 350,000 Euros, moving to the US on May 17, with a prize of $200,000. The Italian leg on May 18 offers 300,000 Euros, followed by Sweden on June 6 with 100,000 Euros, Germany on July 7, with 250,000 Euros, the Netherlands on August 3, with 100,000 Euros, Spain on August 15 with 200,000 Euros, Russia on 30 August with $100,000, Belgium on 2 September with 200,000 Euros, Türkiye on September 7 with 250,000 Dollars, England on September 13 with 400,000 GBP, Poland on September 28 with 200,000 Euros, Egypt on October 25 with Dh500,000, Libya on October 26 with Dh 1 million, and Saudi Arabia on November 21 with SAR 1.5 Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, expressed gratitude for the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, appreciating his generous support and continuous care that led the UAE President's Cup to become the most prestigious in the history of Arabian horse Dhaheri said: "We express our gratitude to the wise leadership on the announcement of the 2025 agenda for the UAE President's Cup, appreciating their boundless support for this esteemed event in its 32nd edition, which spans 17 countries. Bringing together defence and security leaders, experts, and industry players from around the world, the conference provides a critical platform to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the sector. It reaffirms the UAE's commitment to fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in the evolving global defence landscape. The conference was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, who highlighted that since its launch in 1993, IDEX has become a cornerstone of the global defence industry, directly supporting the UAE's ambition to lead in this sector. He also noted that NAVDEX serves as a testament to the UAE's focus on innovation and sustainable security, inspiring new approaches to addressing global defence challenges. His Excellency emphasised that the conference creates a unique forum for governments, industry leaders, and experts to align on shared security priorities. His Excellency emphasised that trade routes serve as the backbone of defence logistics, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of essential materials and equipment. He pointed out that geopolitical tensions, economic instability, and policy shifts can severely impact supply chains, causing delays in production and procurement. To navigate these challenges, he stressed the need for resilient defence industries through a balanced approach of local production, regional partnerships, and international cooperation. His Excellency explained that cyber threats, misinformation, and AI-driven deepfakes pose significant risks to national security, with malicious actors increasingly using social engineering and disinformation as weapons. The discussion covered the evolving nature of cyber warfare, the role of AI in misinformation campaigns, and strategies for strengthening cybersecurity policies. The final session, 'The Sky is No Longer the Limit: Emerging Threats and Opportunities in Space,' featured His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, who highlighted the growing significance of space technology in modern defence. His Excellency noted that satellites and space-based systems have become invaluable assets, aiding in climate monitoring, global communications, and humanitarian efforts.
