Multi-vehicle crash shuts down part of Highway 104
A multi-vehicle crash has shut down down part of Highway 104 in Cumberland County, N.S., on Monday. Nova Scotia RCMP said first responders were alerted to the collision involving a tractor-trailer and three vehicles near West Chester Mountain at 11:45 a.m. AT. Police said the highway was closed at Exit 8 eastbound as a result. That section of the highway is expected to remain closed for another several hours, police told CBC News in an email at 3:28 p.m. RCMP said there are injuries, but haven't disclosed specifics.

Cumberland County District RCMP, fire and ambulance crews responded to the scene on Highway 104 near Exit 8 in West Chester Mountain around 11:45 a.m. Officers have closed the highway to eastbound lanes of traffic. Police say there have been reports of injuries and the highway is expected to be closed for several hours. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and to expect delays.
