Maharashtra minister inaugurates ‘Call Hindu' jobs portal
Maharashtra minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha has inaugurated a digital employment platform named 'Call Hindu Jobs'. The website is yet to be operationalised. The portal has been developed by Vishal Durafe, a member of the Hindu Jagran Manch and former state leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party's youth wing, reported The Print. The Hindu Jagran Manch is a Hindutva group affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the parent organisation of the BJP. Inaugurating the jobs portal on Wednesday, Lodha, who holds the skill development and entrepreneurship portfolio in the BJP-led state government, said it would help youngsters find jobs and teach them about self-employment. 'It will also give training on marketing,' said the minister. 'Durafe has done good work. Maharashtra needs employment on a large scale. I inaugurated this as I hold the employment portfolio.' Responding to a question about whether it was appropriate for government representatives to promote initiatives that cater to only Hindus, Lodha said there was nothing wrong 'if someone decides to do some constructive work only for the Hindu community ', reported Deccan Herald. 'If tomorrow any other community comes forward with a similar initiative, the government will support them as well,' said the minister. Lodha also said that 'nobody can restrict anyone from using an app', according to The Print. 'Out of their own sentiment they have named the portal for Hindus, but if anyone in Maharashtra uses it, nobody is going to say no,' he said. Durafe was quoted as saying by Deccan Herald that the objective of the portal is to provide jobs to Hindus and skilled human resources to the businessmen from the community. More sections, such as self-employment, e-commerce and marriage will be introduced to the portal, he said. When asked if only Hindus could seek and offer jobs on the website, Durafe said: 'It is not necessary.' Mahesh Tapase, spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), criticised Lodha for supporting a platform designed for one community, reported The Print. 'Any minister has to work as per what is defined by the Constitution, which clearly spells out equal opportunity for everyone,' Tapase was quoted as saying. 'Once a minister endorses a communal jobs portal, it raises the question on whether he understands the role he has to play as a minister.'

Protests against terror attack across Barak Valley
Silchar: Numerous organisations staged protests across Assam's Barak Valley on Wednesday to condemn the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 people — including two foreign nationals — were killed when terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon. The legal and legislative cell of the Cachar district BJP submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through Cachar district commissioner Mridul Yadav, strongly denouncing the attack and seeking justice for the victims. The memorandum described the attack in Pahalgam as a barbaric act targeting innocent civilians and security personnel, calling it a direct strike on the nation's sovereignty and a grave violation of human dignity, peace, and democratic values. The BJP cell urged the union government to provide adequate financial compensation to victims from northeastern states, extend employment support to their next of kin, and ensure coverage under all relevant central schemes for terrorism victims. In Hailakandi, members of Hindu Jagran Manch, ABVP, and other RSS-affiliated organisations held a rally and symbolically burned effigies of Pakistan and the terror groups at the Netaji statue point in the town. Local traders joined the demonstrations, mourning the death of the tourists and condemning the attack. Swaraswati Vidyanikatan and Sribhumi authorities convened a meeting to condemn the attack, urging the government to take stringent action against the perpetrators. The meeting also paid tribute to the deceased tourists. Missionaries, Left tried to brainwash tribals: CM Yogi Adityanath
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Monday said that before the BJP came to power, certain missionaries and leftist groups attempted to brainwash the tribal society. He said, until 2017, members of tribal communities were denied fundamental rights such as voting, ration cards, and access to basic infrastructure like roads, electricity, and healthcare. Yogi was addressing the gathering at the 'Worker felicitation ceremony of the Shri Guru Gorakhnath Health Service Yatra' held in Lucknow this evening where Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale was also present as the chief guest. Reflecting on the tense period of conflict between Maoists and Madhesis in Nepal, CM Yogi recalled taking stock of the situation through office bearers of the Hindu Jagran Manch. 'It was then that I truly understood the unwavering efforts of the Sangh and its affiliated organisations in safeguarding and serving our border communities,' he added. Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh, and his revered Guru, Mahant Avaidyanath, for their visionary contributions toward uplifting the underprivileged. 'They established hostels and schools for children, laying the foundation for educational and social empowerment in remote regions,' he said. The Chief Minister further stated that tribal communities in forest areas remained neglected even decades after independence. 'You'll be surprised to know that until 2017, these villagers had no right to vote, no ration cards, no electricity, roads, or healthcare,' he said. They were at the mercy of the forest department and the police and suffered years of exploitation.'
