A terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam left at least 26 civilians, most of them tourists, dead. Since then, it has become an expression of public empathy and resistance, one that reappears in times of crisis when people believe the world is not watching closely enough. A tourist from Karnataka lost her husband in the attack. She and her 18-year-old son were among the few survivors. Overcome with grief, she pleaded with one of the terrorists to kill her as well. The assailant said, " I won't kill you. Go and tell Modi." The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the attack. The terrorists allegedly asked tourists about their religion and made them recite an Islamic verse before shooting them at close range.

‘Declare war on Pakistan': Disha Patani's sister Khushboo Patani drops fiery response to Pahalgam terror attack; watch video
In the wake of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, following reactions from Bollywood celebrities, actress Disha Patani's sister, Khushboo Patani, who is also a former Indian Army officer, shared a fiery message on Wednesday, urging India to declare war on Pakistan. Patani shared the video hours after the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, that claimed 26 lives. She shared a couple of videos on the same, stating that the time for peace is over and India must now wage war against Pakistan and end it once and for all, reported Free Press Journal. What did Khushboo Patani say in her video? On Wednesday, Khushboo Patani took to her Instagram stories and shared that she was in the Indian Army and was posted in Kashmir for two years. 'I have seen Pahalgam, I know the nooks and corners of that place. We need to stop saying this was a terrorist attack. This is the Pakistani army's doing,' she said. She went on to say, 'They say war should be the last option, and I think we have reached that point. We have been tolerating these Pakistanis for 75 years now, and that's enough.' She said she believes that the Pakistan army is completely involved in this; otherwise, how is such a big attack even possible?, she questioned. 'India must declare war against Pakistan' Khushboo continued that she is sure some action would be taken by the Prime Minister, but questioned how long air strikes and surgical strikes would continue to be relied upon. She stated that a proper war should now be declared, as it is done by other countries to save their own country and people. 'It's time for a proper war now.' यह बहन खुशबू पटानी है पहले देश को आर्मी। में सेवा दे चुकी हैं कुछ दिन पहले बच्ची को बचाया था आप इनके विचार सुनिए और हम समर्थन करते हैं#PahalgamTerroristAttack #khushboopatani #host_harsha #HindusUnderAttack #hindustan "Being a part of the Indian Army, as an ex-major, I know for a fact that we have enough resources to declare war on Pakistan. These things should not be taken lightly. Time for negotiations and peace talks is over. Their whole game is jihad. Pakistanis just don't like Indians, irrespective of any religion," she stated. She concluded by saying, "I am furious and my blood is boiling. The way they have killed innocent lives, now their lives should also be killed," she concluded her message.' Khushboo's video quickly went viral on social media and received widespread support online.
