Everything We Know About Billie Eilish's New 3D Project With James Cameron

On Saturday, Billie Eilish announced that director James Cameron was in the audience at her Manchester concert, and he wasn't just enjoying the music. The duo is planning a 3D film experience together that appears to be in production throughout her four nights at the U.K. venue. Here's everything we know about the experimental concert film so far. The film is being recorded during Eilish's Manchester concerts from her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, which she launched for her third studio album. On July 19, she told the excited audience, 'So, you may have noticed there's more cameras than usual up here. Basically, I can't say much about it, but what I can say is I'm working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it's going to be in 3D.' Eilish continued, 'So, take that as you will, and these four shows her in Manchester, you and me, are part of a thing that I'm making with James.' Eilish has three more shows planned in Manchester following the announcement, on July 20, 22, and 23. Her next shows are set for Dublin on July 26 and 27, but it sounds like Cameron may not be recording them. If that's it for filming, the release likely depends on post-production. Eilish has not shared anymore information about how she and the Titanic director connected over this project. In 2023, Eilish shared a bit about her collaboration process when talking to IndieWire, specifically about her work with brother Finneas O'Connell. 'Every time we do anything in another world, it's just very inspiring in so many ways, like, 'Damn, what could we do? What could we make happen?' she said. 'It feels like training in a way. It feels like we're working on a muscle that we really want to be bulky.' The Hit Me Hard and Soft tour started in October 2024 and concludes in November 2025. The European leg ends this month and then Eilish will be heading to Japan in August. She returns to the United States in October, finishing up in California. This post will be updated.

The concert doesn't start until 7pm today, but people have been waiting in lines since 1:30am. Photos have emerged showing throngs of music fans sitting outside the 14,300-capacity Hydro, with the lines snaking around the metal barriers. Many are kitted out with out with bags of food and drinking bottles to get them through the wait. Fans can also be seen clutching blankets and relaxing on camping chairs. Other pictures show a row of tents inside the 'Smartie Tube' tunnel over the Clydeside Expressway. Billie's huge tour includes six gigs at the O2 Arena in London and four shows at the Co-op Live in Manchester. Her previous tours include the Don't Smile at Me Tour, When We All Fall Asleep Tour, and Happier Than Ever, The World Tour. In 2022, the music megastar hit the headlines after ordering a Glasgow restaurant's biggest takeaway haul ever. Billie spent more than £1,000 at the city's Bucks Bar during her Happier Than Ever gigs. 'So many crying kids' as Scots Sabrina Carpenter fans refused entry to Hydro in 'fake' ticket chaos Staff at the West Regent Street site stacked containers which included grub like burgers and wings sky high as they went above and beyond to fulfil the record breaking order. Taking to Facebook, a post on the bar's page read: 'BIGGEST BUCK'S BAR TAKEAWAY ORDER EVER. 'Billie Eilish knows how to look after her crew - £1,000 takeaway order packed up and off to the OVO Hydro for all her hard working team. 'Well done to the team at Buck's Bar WRS for supplying the goods and looking after Billie's crew over the last few days. 5 Diehard fans have been waiting since the early hours of the morning Credit: Steve Welsh 'What a bunch of legends.' Last year, fans of American singer Olivia Rodrigo were spotted queuing outside the Hydro ahead of the UK leg of her GUTS World Tour.

Billie Eilish's Year-Old Album Returns To No. 1 On Multiple Charts

Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft returns to No. 1 on two Billboard charts as it rises across ... More several tallies thanks to its one-year anniversary and her ongoing tour. Broadcasted live on FOX. (Photo byfor iHeartRadio) Billie Eilish is currently in the midst of her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour. The singer-songwriter began the trek in the fall of 2024 and has dates scheduled through late 2025. At the moment, she's playing to massive crowds across Europe, and in the fall, she will return to the United States for a second leg due to overwhelming demand. The album that Eilish is promoting via the trek, Hit Me Hard and Soft, recently celebrated its first anniversary — and yet the American public is not done listening to it. Not even close. Hit Me Hard and Soft appears on half a dozen Billboard charts in the U.S. this week, and it climbs on every tally it inhabits. That's an impressive showing for a title that has now spent just over one year on each ranking it finds space on. Eilish's third full-length rises highest on both the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts. Last frame, the title sat in the runner-up position on both, but now it's returned to No. 1. Eilish has now led the Top Rock & Alternative Albums roster for 41 frames with Hit Me Hard and Soft, while the collection has conquered the Top Alternative Albums tally for 46 stretches. Hit Me Hard and Soft also bolts back into the top 10 on three other Billboard lists. It climbs to No. 10 from No. 11 on the Top Streaming Albums chart and improves from eleventh place to ninth on both the Billboard 200 and Vinyl Albums rankings. The Grammy-nominated effort only misses out on a top 10 showing on the Top Album Sales chart, though it does gain ground there, jumping from No. 18 to No. 15. Interestingly, Hit Me Hard and Soft climbs across the board, even though total consumption of the project is actually down. Luminate reports that the set shifted 31,200 equivalent units in the past tracking period — a dip of just 1.5% from the previous frame. That said, sales of the full-length did rise, growing 6% to more than 4,100 copies.
