Honor Magic V Flip 2 launch timeframe leaks along with specs

Honor launched the Magic V Flip back in June of last year, so by now you may be anxiously anticipating the release of its successor. According to a new rumor out of China, this is on the way, with its official unveiling most likely to take place in August. The device will have a 6.8-inch FHD+ LTPO folding OLED screen, and a 4-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED cover display, just like its predecessor. Camera-wise there will be a dual setup again, with a 50 MP main shooter with a 1/1.5" sensor. This too could be the same as for the original V Flip. The new model will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series chipset that isn't the Elite, but unfortunately no more specific details are given by the source of this leak. The phone will have a 5,500 mAh battery with support for either 66W or 80W wired charging. So overall it's not looking like a huge update, this, with the most important improvements being the new SoC and slightly bigger battery. Source (in Chinese)

Samsung's upcoming flagship tablet is getting tough competition months before launch

Honor MagicPad 2 is both sleek and stylish | Image credit: Honor Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 flagship tablets are still a few months away, which leaves plenty of room for the competition to take a little bit of the tablet market share that the South Korean dominates along with Apple. One of the brands that are trying to gain a little bit of market share before Samsung introduces its new flagships is Honor. The Chinese company is almost ready to launch its top-tier slate, the MagicPad 3. The MagicPad 3 is supposed to be introduced sometime in June, which is why Chinese tipsters have already started to leak information about the upcoming flagship tablet. Famous leaker Digital Chat Station has just posted on Weibo MagicPad 3's key specs, and judging from what they're claiming, it appears that the MagicPad 3 might not bring so many upgrades as it should if Honor wants to convince customers their products are better than the competition's. The first disappointment is that the MagicPad 3 apparently comes with a slightly downgraded display. The previous model, MagicPad 2, has a 12.3-inch OLED display with 1920 x 3000 pixels resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the MagicPad 3 is rumored to feature a 13.2-inch LCD display, probably with a similar 144Hz refresh rate. The main issue is that the quality of panel (OLED vs. LCD) is definitely in favor of the MagicPad 2. On the bright side, the MagicPad 3 seems to have a slightly higher display, so that's a plus for those who are looking for very big tablets. Besides that, the reliable tipster says the MagicPad 3 will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which isn't too bad even though this chipset was launched two years ago. The fact that the Galaxy Tab S11 is said to pack MediaTek's Dimensity 9400, a chipset released last year, even the odds a bit. The MagicPad 2 is Honor's most powerful tablet to date | Image credit: Honor In any case, the powerful chipset is paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB internal memory. As you can imagine, Honor will offer customers the option to choose from different storage sizes, depending on their needs and DGS claims the MagicPad 3's battery will support 66W wired charging, but didn't say anything about its size. For reference, the MagicPad 2 has a 10,050 mAh battery with 66W wired charging support, so there doesn't seem to be any changes when it comes to charging MagicPad 3 will be introduced at some point in June and should be available in three different colors – Moon Shadow White, Floating Gold and Starry Sky Gray, at least that's what the tip says.

Honor Pad 10 is here with a big screen and big battery

Honor launched a new tablet alongside the 400 and 400 Pro smartphones today. It's called Honor Pad 10 and it's powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It has a 12.1-inch 2560x1600 LCD touchscreen (probably with 60 Hz refresh rate as the spec page doesn't brag about anything over that), an 8 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front camera (both with f/2.0 aperture and no autofocus), and a 10,100 mAh battery with support for 35W wired charging. Honor Pad 10 The tablet has support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, and it runs Android 15 with Honor's MagicOS 9.0 on top. It measures 277.07 x 179.28 x 6.29 mm and weighs 525g. It will be offered in cyan and gray. Pricing hasn't been unveiled yet, but with these specs it should be rather affordable, as it is a mid-range device after all.
