Here are the Montreal-area road closures scheduled for this weekend

Work is expected to continue on the Honore-Mercier Bridge throughout the spring and summer of 2025. (Daniel J. Rowe/ CTV News) Those planning on driving this weekend should be aware that multiple road closures are scheduled due to construction, including overnight work on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge and Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel. Drivers are advised to plan ahead to avoid congestion, headaches and cursing in the heat while stuck in traffic. Honoré-Mercier Bridge/Route 138 From Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one lane will be open in each direction on the bridge. Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel (A-25) From Saturday at 11 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m., the tunnel will be closed at Exit 90 (R-132) on Highway 20 West in Longueuil (northbound) and Exit 5 (Sherbrooke Street) in Montreal (southbound). Highway 25 southbound (Laval) On Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., Highway 25 South will be closed between Exit 17 (A-440) and the Montée Masson access road. On the same day, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., two of three lanes will be closed on the highway between Montée Masson and Henri-Bourassa Boulevard in Montreal, including the Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge. On Sunday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., the highway will be closed between Exit 17 (A-440) and the access to Highway 440 East. Two of three lanes will be closed on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. between Henri-Bourassa Boulevard and Montée Masson, including the Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge. As a result, the following are default closures: On Saturday: The Highway 440 ramp to Highway 25 Exit 14 (Lévesque Boulevard) Access to Lévesque Boulevard Exits 10 (Perras, Maurice-Duplessis boulevards) and 9 (Henri-Bourassa Boulevard). On Sunday: Access from Henri-Bourassa, Maurice-Duplessis and Perras boulevards. Exit 14 (Marcel-Villeneuve Avenue, Lévesque Boulevard). Access to Lévesque Boulevard/Roger-Lortie Avenue. Bridge and access roads will be closed on Sunday between 8 p.m. and midnight. Victoria Bridge, two-lane configuration / South Shore only between 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Robert-Bourassa Boulevard Three of four southbound lanes will be closed between Ottawa and Wellington streets on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in reserved for Sunday during the same hours. Viger Avenue On Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., two of three westbound lanes will be closed between Panet and Wolfe streets. Bonaventure Expressway area de la Pointe-Nord Road / l'Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard / Jacques-Leber Street access is closed toward Highway 10 west / downtown until September. At the end of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge, at Exit 58 towards Highway 10 west / downtown, one of two lanes is closed. One of three lanes is closed in each direction in the Peel Basin / Victoria Bridge area until December. On the Clément Bridge, one lane is open in each direction until December. REM The REM is closed until Aug. 17. In case of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, work may be cancelled or modified. Check regularly for current and upcoming road closures.
