The story revolves around the will of Ranjeet, played by the yesteryear actor himself, who is hosting his 100 th birthday celebration on a cruise.

Housefull franchise has been a hit amongst fans since the first part released. Every instalment has come up with an addition and subtraction of the star cast and a new story which has only been better than the previous one. This part dealt with reincarnation, brought Akshay and Riteish along with new additions like Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, and Pooja Hegde. It released on Diwali 2019, and fetched Rs 205.5 crore at the ticket windows by the end. This is the highest as compared to Houseful that fetched Rs 72.25 crore, Houseful 2 that fetched Rs 111.75 crore and Houseful 3 that fetched Rs 108 crore.
Will Housefull 5 break all the records?
Makers have claimed that Housefull 5 is going to be the biggest instalment of the franchise when it comes to the budget, casting and content front. A source close to the film revealed to Pinkvilla that the Akshay Kumar led film is mounted on a massive Rs 350 crore budget. It is because of such big investments that we hope this instalment crosses Rs 300 crore mark and helps the total earnings of the franchise reach Rs 800 crore.
Why was 2 versions of Houseful 5 submitted to CBFC?
Pinkvilla had exclusively revealed that the producers have submitted two different versions of the upcoming magnum opus franchise to CBFC. The reliable sources have told us, ' Housefull 5 is a one-of-its-kind comic thriller, and to keep the mystery of this entertainer intact, the producer has submitted two different versions of the film to the Central Board of Film Certification. Interestingly, both the versions have been watched by the members of the board, and the film has been certified U/A,' revealed a source close to the development.
Although the exact intent to submit 2 versions of the comedy caper is unknown, but sources confirm that Sajid, who has written the story and screenplay, is planning to do something new that would take the audience and industry by surprise.
