Housefull 5 Box Office: Akshay Kumar starrer aims to emerge a SUCCESS; Solid hold on Monday
The Akshay Kumar-led Housefull 5 is showing a fantastic hold in collections on Monday, as very early trends are indicating fourth-day business in the range of Rs 11.00 crore to Rs 12.00 crore, taking the four-day total in the vicinity of Rs 90 crore. It's a very good hold for Houseful 5, coming off a near Rs 80 crore weekend, and these collections put the film in the race to emerge a success story at the box office in India.
The national chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis – are headed to collect in the range of Rs 5.00 crore nett, contributing about 47 percent to the total business. The ratio of national chains in dropping on a day-to-day basis for Housefull 5, as the mass belts are showing better jumps and holds in the business. The Akshay Kumar -led comic caper clocked Rs 10.65 crore in the chains on Monday, followed by a jump to Rs 13.60 crore on Saturday (Bakri Eid), and a nominal dip to Rs 13.15 crore on Sunday. It's a drop of about 53 percent in the national chains, but the all India drop should be in the vicinity of 47 percent, as the non-national chains and single screens are holding better in the morning and noon shows.
The film will enter the Rs 100 crore club on the 5th day, and then begin its journey towards the Rs 200 crore club in India. The hold in collections on Monday put the film in a strong spot, and it's just about recording a normal trend from hereon to sail past the finish line. The collections are clean, devoid of any external help and that's an important thing to be pointed out in the era, where box office collections are largely manufactured by many filmmakers.
These are still estimates based on the early trends and the actuals towards morning could be higher depending on the final figures of national chains and the single screens.
Here's a look at the day wise box office collection of Housefull 5
Friday: Rs 22.00 crore
Saturday: Rs 28.50 crore
Sunday: Rs 29.25 crore
Monday: Rs 11.50 crore (Expected)
Total: Rs 91.25 crore

Last Updated: Akshay Kumar shares behind-the-scenes dance rehearsal as Housefull 5 collects Rs 87 crore despite mixed reviews. Akshay Kumar is celebrating Housefull 5's steady box office run with a special behind-the-scenes treat for fans. On Monday, the superstar shared a video from his dance rehearsals for the film, showing off his energetic moves alongside a choreographer. Despite the film receiving mixed reactions, Akshay is focusing on the highs. 'Still dancing on cloud nine after the incredible response Housefull 5 received this weekend! Thank you for the love and laughs! Here's a little behind-the-scenes joy from rehearsals," Akshay captioned the clip. Fans flooded the comments section with praise. 'Sir ji, you always slaying," wrote one user. Another added, 'Khiladi is back!" Some viewers celebrated his return to mainstream comedy, with a fan writing, 'So happy for your comeback. Housefull 5 proved that audiences want to see you in commercial films more than content-driven drama." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Akshay Kumar (@akshaykumar) However, not all reactions were glowing. Several social media users expressed disappointment with the film's content. Critics and viewers alike have called out Housefull 5 for its double-meaning jokes, objectification of women, and what they described as an outdated sense of humor. The film has also been criticised for its weak storyline and loud, exaggerated performances. Despite this, the Tarun Mansukhani-directed comedy continues to perform well at the box office. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Housefull 5 has already earned Rs 87 crore in India. The film opened to an impressive Rs 24 crore on Day 1—outpacing both the previous instalment's debut and Akshay's recent releases like Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2. The upward trend continued, with the second day pulling in Rs 31 crore, taking the film's domestic total to Rs 55 crore within the first two days alone. While critics may remain divided, there's no denying the commercial appeal of the franchise and Akshay's draw among mass audiences. First Published:

Thug Life 1st Monday India Box Office: Kamal Haasan's movie grosses an irredeemable Rs 2.25 crore on day 5
Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan, Trisha, SilambarasanTR and others has spent 5 days in Indian theatres and the performance has been dismal. After an extended weekend of Rs 40.75 crore with Rs 33 crore from Tamil Nadu and Rs 7.75 crore from the rest of India, Thug Life could add barely Rs 2-2.5 crore on first Monday. The numbers are over 85 percent down from the opening day and more than 70 percent down from first Friday. Thug Life was said to be the antidote of the heavily panned Kamal Haasan biggie, Indian 2, directed by S Shankar. With the Monday trend, it is absolutely clear that Thug Life won't cross Indian 2's Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office. Forget Indian box office, even the worldwide collections will end lower than that movie's India total. The Day Wise Box Office Collections of Thug Life in India are as follows: Thursday - Rs. 17.00 cr. Friday - Rs. 7.50 cr. Saturday - Rs. 8.75 cr. Sunday - Rs. 7.50 cr. Monday Rs 2.25 cr. (Ests) Total - Rs. 43 cr. gross in 5 days The producers of Thug Life, however, are lucky. Unlike Indian 2 that failed to recover its budget even after getting good non-theatrical deals, Thug Life has managed to recover its budget from non-theatrical revenue sources. The theatrical revenue is essentially the amount that will be shared between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam. The nominal amount that they make from their film, comes at a cost of credibility. Housefull 5, which released a day after Thug Life, has already crossed Rs 100 crore gross at the Indian box office on day 4 and it is well on course to end its run grossing over Rs 200 crore. There's a lot left for Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam to introspect after Thug Life. The movie is technically very sound and the issue is primarily with respect to the generic story and the dull screenplay. If not for that, Thug Life could have emerged as the highest grossing Tamil movie of 2025, so far. Thug Life plays in theatres now. Have you watched the crime-actioner? Do let us know.

Housefull 5 Day 4 India Box Office: Akshay Kumar led cruise-comedy holds its fortress on working Monday; Nets Rs 11.50 crore
Housefull 5 led by Akshay Kumar and co-starring Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez and others held well on working Monday in India, netting Rs 11-12 crore. After a good weekend of Rs 79.25 crore, the 4 day total of Housefull 5 stands at Rs 90.75 crore. The film is likely to cross Rs 100 crore net, late on day 5 or early on day 6. Housefull 5 looks to continue the success streak of the Housefull franchise. Whether it also continues the hit streak is to be seen. To be in contention to be a hit, the movie needs to hold even stronger over the next couple of weeks and that won't be easy. Regardless, Akshay Kumar 's brute force at the box office was visible for the first time since Sooryavanshi. After the release of Sooryavanshi, Akshay Kumar perhaps witnessed his worst theatrical phase, where even the high on content films didn't get desired box office rewards. It is hoped that his strong initial pull is seen in the months to follow, in exciting upcoming movies like Jolly LLB 3, Welcome To The Jungle and more. The Day Wise Net India Box Office Collections Of Housefull 5 Are As Under Housefull 5 is among the better performing Akshay Kumar movies internationally. After becoming his biggest weekend opener, the movie looks to end up doing roughly USD 7.5-8 million (Rs 65 to 70 crore gross). This sets the stage well for the movie to hit Rs 300 crore worldwide in the full run. The movie needs to gross atleast Rs 325 crore worldwide to be considered as a film that can be accredited as a hit. We have arrived to a number in the Rs 325-350 crore vicinity given the film's heavy budget and the fact that it is a film from the very successful Housefull franchise. Housefull 5 plays in theatres now. Have you watched the madcap comedy? If yes, which version of the movie did you watch? A or B? Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates on the killer-comedy.
