Truth behind Kim Woodburn and Coleen Nolan's feud and vicious Loose Women row
The pair have had a long-term fight ever since they appeared in 2017's Celebrity Big Brother, though the full extent of their hatred for one another came out in a Loose Women bust-up Coleen Nolan and Kim Woodburn had one of the most furious arguments ever to be seen in Loose Women history. The How Clean is Your House? star was brought on the show to try and build bridges with Coleen after the two clashed repeatedly during their time in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2017. An ITV daytime reunion culminated in Kim yellow, crying and storming off set, while panelists Janet Street Porter, Linda Nolan and Linda Robson tried to defend their friend Coleen in the heated row. Prior to the Loose Women showdown, Kim had gained a reputation as one of the UK's most outspoken and explosive reality stars thanks to her appearances I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Celebrity Big Brother where she really left her mark. During her time Celebrity Big Brother Kim had a pretty difficult time, and came out saying her fellow housemates 'bullied her.' She was at the centre of a number of huge rows in the house, mainly with WAG Nicola McLean, one of which was broken up by security as the presenter lost it in front of the other housemates. Kim said repeatedly since leaving the house she had hated the experience, with housemates making comments about her confrontational approach and overhearing jibes at her "hairpiece." The star also got into rows with Strictly professional James Jordan, who mocked her cleaning career, and Spencer and Heidi Pratt, who she referred to as "evil" and "rotten pigs." Speaking about Kim, eventual series winner Coleen told fellow housemate James Cosmo,"You can't have it out with someone who doesn't listen or acknowledge. She just wants to shout. She doesn't want to listen. I'll then get more and more angry and nothing will be resolved. "People say maybe I'll feel better if I got it off my chest, but I don't think I will because I will walk out more frustrated that she hasn't got it." She added in the Diary Room: "Making out like we're having this bloody love affair. It's disrespectful and so not like that at all. "I've made such a good friend in James C. As of this moment until we leave and until I die, I am not speaking to that woman again. "She is vile, horrible, nasty; the vilest woman I've ever known, met or wish to meet. She's the most fake, horrible woman." Before that point, there were few confrontations between the two women in the house that were shown on air, but things really kicked off when Coleen was crowned the winner, and Kim started her tirade against Coleen in a series of interviews. Kim told the Evening Standard, after Coleen's win was announced: "How that woman won, when Jedward were sitting there, I have no idea. "Public, I don't know how you could let that boring fag ash Lil (win), with what I now know to be a rotten mouth. She shouldn't have won that show ... I'm a bit tired of all these people on Loose Women winning ... It was wrong that she won. She was not entertaining and I was disappointed. "Coleen was running with the foxes and hunting with the hounds. What a shocking woman." Kim then appeared on This Morning and Loose Women though on a day that Coleen was not presenting. After avoiding each other, Kim was invited onto Loose Women to try and salvage their relationship. Kim was instantly on edge and name-called dozens of times, calling Coleen everything from "lying trash" to "two-faced," while Coleen called her "antagonistic" and claimed she was always edging for a fight. The presenter also said she only went on Loose Women because she had been paid to do so, before revealing it was her "brutal childhood" which made her Big Brother experience so terrible, as it reminded her of the ridicule she received as a child.

Lorraine Kelly slammed by viewers for 'appalling' response to Kim Woodburn death news
The Channel 4 How Clean is Your House? star passed away aged 83 after a short illness. Lorraine Kelly has received criticism after she broke the news of the death of Kim Woodburn on her ITV show. The How Clean Is Your House? icon died on Monday, aged 83, it was announced today (Tuesday) leaving her husband of 46 years "heartbroken". After returning from a commercial break, Lorraine paused the show to announce the sad news, telling viewers: "Some news just breaking in the last few minutes, Kim Woodburn has died at the age of 83. Famous, of course, for The How Clean is Your House? and her controversial time on Celebrity Big Brother." The 65 year old then read out the statement from Kim's family and after concluding the statement, she said: "Right! It's ten past nine." However, many fans watching at home weren't happy with the way the Scots star delivered the news. One said: "I'm actually shocked at the lack of empathy Lorraine showed announcing the death of Kim Woodburn. Appalling. Hope ITV see these comments." Another agreed, saying: "Yeah, I thought the same. Couldn't wait to go onto the next segment of the show." A third shared: "A very mealy mouth announcement from Lorraine about the passing of Kim Woodburn." A fourth accused the presenter of being "very business like". In a statement released by a spokesperson, Kim was described as an "incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person" by her devastated relatives, who were "so proud" of what she achieved in her career. The statement read: "It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. "Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. "We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. We kindly ask that Kim's husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. "We will not be releasing any further details." The sad passing of Kim, who rose to fame on How Clean is Tour House? with Scots star Aggie MacKenzie, was discussed on This Morning, with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard paying tribute as they reflected on the day's headlines with journalists Alison Phillips and Nick Ferarri. Cat said: "Sad news this morning, the news that Kim Woodburn died yesterday aged 83 after a short illness, she was one on her own wasn't she? Alison replied: "She really was and it's terribly sad. Her and Aggie became the real double act of cleaning before cleaning influencers were a thing." Ben then said to Nick: "There was a light, Nick, that burnt very brightly and very strongly at times with our Kim Woodburn." Nick replied, likening Kim and Aggie to the Hairy Bikers: "Those two in a way were like almost like the female equivalent of the Hairy Bikers. "They were so genuine, you could see the bond between them, the fact that they were so true shone through to the viewers. Very sad news." Ben then added: "Condolences to her friends." The death of the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 2009 star comes weeks after she was forced to cancel work commitments due to health concerns. Kim, who also previously appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, had been engaging with fans by offering personal video messages for £25 each, in addition to her activity on the Cameo platform. However, earlier in the month, she informed her followers with a message saying: "No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!" Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! My years with fierce Kim Woodburn felt like walking a tightrope… but she's one of the bravest people I know, says Aggie

She died yesterday, aged 83, after a short illness — and though we hadn't spoken for years, it's still shocking to know that she's no longer alive. We had one of the strangest, most intense working relationships I've ever known. For six years, from 2003 to 2009, we shared the screen on How Clean Is Your House? — scrubbing, scouring and sparring our way into the nation's living rooms. But I also respected her. And understood, perhaps more than most, what she'd come through just to be standing. Kim didn't just have a tough start in life — she had one of the worst you can imagine. I knew fairly early on in our partnership that she had demons. The public saw the bouffant hair, the frosty stare, the withering one-liners — 'scrub, don't tickle' became a national catchphrase. But behind all that was a woman carrying an enormous amount of pain. She was born into violence. Her childhood, as she later described in her autobiography, was marked by relentless abuse — physical and emotional, from those meant to protect her. At 16, she left home for good. She had no safety net, no one to catch her. She cleaned houses to survive, slept on floors, endured even more suffering. And she kept it all in for decades. When she finally spoke out — on TV, and later in print — it was one of the bravest things I've ever seen. But just because you speak your truth doesn't mean the pain disappears. Kim was always battling something. She could be bright and brilliant one minute, then stormy and defensive the next. That wasn't entirely diva behaviour. That was also trauma. There were moments — even on set — when I'd catch a glimpse of that frightened, furious young toddler whose needs had never been met. She had incredible strength, but no real sense of safety. And so she fought. Fought the world, fought me, fought herself, I think. Still, what we did together was extraordinary. How Clean Is Your House? was a surprise hit. People tuned in for the dirt, sure, but they stayed for us — this strange pairing of two middle-aged fairy godmothers elbow-deep in filth, with rubber gloves and very different energies. I was methodical, she was theatrical. I'd explain the science of mould, she'd tell a grown man he was living like a pig. But it worked And more than that, it mattered. We helped people — not just the families on-screen, but the viewers at home who felt overwhelmed by life, by mess, by depression. Kim had a real instinct for those people. She might shout or scold, but she never judged. She knew what rock bottom looked like. 13 The cleaning duo seen with feather dusters Credit: Channel 4 13 Kim Woodburn and Aggie McKenzie, arriving at the Women in Film and Television Awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, London, in 2009 Credit: Times Newspapers Ltd 13 The nation's ultimate grime-busting duo, Kim Woodburn and Aggie Mackenzie Credit: Channel 4 13 Kim managed to get Britain scrubbing and organising their homes That empathy came from experience. Kim had known what it meant to be homeless, powerless, voiceless. She built herself back up, bit by bit, often with nobody cheering her on. That takes guts. Of course, it wasn't all sunshine. We clashed, often. There were days filming together that felt like walking a tightrope. And by the later series, I'll be honest — our relationship had almost completely broken down. We barely spoke off camera. And over time, the anger faded. What remains now are the memories: of her booming laugh when something truly tickled her, of the fierce way she defended the underdog, of how completely she threw herself into that role as 'Queen of Clean'. She became a household name — and rightly so. Kim wasn't easy. But she was real. And in this business, that's rare. In the years after our show ended, she stayed in the public eye — I'm a Celeb, Big Brother, panel shows, even Cameo videos for fans. She always made an impact. But I sometimes wondered if it gave her peace. I'm not sure she ever truly found that, this side of life. I hope she has now. I really do. Because for all her sharp edges, she could be kind in ways no one ever saw — sending private messages of support to people who'd suffered abuse, calling out injustice long before it was fashionable. There's a line I keep coming back to, from her own mouth: 'I survived because I had to.' That sums her up. Kim Woodburn survived. But now, at last, she can stop fighting. Rest easy, my old sparring partner. You were fierce, complicated, maddening — and unforgettable. I hope wherever you are now, it's spotless. And peaceful. 13 Aggie Mackenzie and Kim Woodburn pictured in 2004 Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 13 How Clean is Your House got Brits scrubbing their homes Credit: Channel 4 13 Kim & Aggie seen in cleaning gear for their iconic show Credit: Eyevine 13 Kim Woodburn was the original Cleaning Queen Credit: Rex
