She explained that the qualifiers concluded at the Ahmad Al-Jaber Oil and Gas Exhibition, where five teams earned spots in the upcoming finals in Singapore, while 11 other teams qualified for regional competitions. Rahimi commended the collaboration between key partners and sponsors, including the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, the American University of the Middle East, and the Public Authority for Youth. She also highlighted the significant participation from the Private Schools Union, which involved 180 private institutions. Salem Al-Baz, Director of the Technology Development Department at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center, confirmed the center's ongoing support for participants through the provision of technical resources, training, and specialized robotics equipment. He praised the participants' dedication, noting their strong motivation and potential in the technology sector. The closing ceremony of the second edition of the World Robot Olympiad – Kuwait 2025 drew over 200 participants, including Kuwaiti citizens and residents aged between 8 and 22. Their projects were evaluated by a panel of 60 judges specializing in robotics design and programming. KUWAIT: Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah reaffirmed on Tuesday the political leadership's firm commitment to empowering Kuwaiti women and supporting their contributions across all sectors to strengthen their rights and ensure their active participation in national development. Speaking to KUNA during a celebration organized by the 'Fazaa Al-Dahiya' team in cooperation with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Sheikh Humoud said the event reflects appreciation for the efforts and achievements of Kuwaiti women, who play a vital role in building society and advancing the nation. The event was attended by a number of supporting and sponsoring institutions. Sheikh Humoud noted that Kuwaiti women have stood shoulder to shoulder with men during the most challenging times in defense of the homeland. Today, he said, they are indispensable partners in the ongoing process of nation-building and development. He pointed out that Kuwaiti women have excelled in various fields, holding supervisory, leadership, and judicial positions, actively participating in decision-making, and making significant strides in the private sector. As a result, they have earned advanced positions on both the regional and international stages, and many now rank among the world's most influential women. The governor praised the efforts of KOC and the 'Fazaa Al-Dahiya' team for shedding light on the accomplishments of Kuwaiti women. He stressed Ahmadi Governorate's readiness to support any initiative that promotes the pioneering role of Kuwaiti women and other active elements in society. Kuwait civil aviation chief, Morocco's Transport Min. discuss cooperation
RABAT, May 8 (KUNA) -- Head of Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Sheikh Humoud Al-Sabah has met with Moroccan Minister of Transport and Logistics Abdulsamad Qayouh to discuss promoting air transport cooperation to serve mutual interest. Sheikh Humoud, in a statement to KUNA after meeting Qayouh last night, said they discussed cooperation in training and exchange of expertise with the objective of boosting integration in civil aviation sector as well as importance of the direct flights between the two countries, which have seen rising demand. The meeting took place on sidelines of a meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab civil aviation organization, currently taking place in Rabat. Sheikh Humoud said they underlined importance of deepening strategic partnership, developing human resources and exchange of training programs, as well as bolstering air safety. (end)

This came during Sheikh Humoud's participation at the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai, a prominent international exhibition in the field of aviation, travel, and tourism, with the presence of the Consul General of Kuwait in the Emirate of Dubai, Khaled Al-Zaabi. The meeting also addressed means to improve companies' performances, including airline employees and ways of training them with the latest methods and techniques to raise passenger satisfaction, while ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience. Sheikh Humoud stressed the importance of Kuwait Airways' participation in this year's exhibition, considering it a strategic step towards strengthening Kuwait's presence in key international events dedicated to aviation, travel, and tourism. He also praised the signing of the bilateral partnership agreement between Kuwait Airways and Emirates Airlines, as it will open up broad horizons for expansion and growth while also supporting the development of national companies and enhancing their regional competitiveness. Kuwait planting the seeds for a greener tomorrow
KUWAIT CITY, April 14: The first phase of the landscaping and greening project for the Second Ring Road in the Shuwaikh residential area has officially launched, as announced by Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Ahmadi Governor and Chairman of the Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee. Spearheaded by Engineer Haifa Al-Muhanna, this initiative marks the beginning of a broader effort by the government to beautify and green Kuwait's urban landscape. In a statement to KUNA on Monday, following an inspection tour of the Second Ring Road, Sheikh Humoud confirmed that the project had received full approval from the Council of Ministers under Resolution No. (1634) and obtained all necessary permits from relevant government bodies. Sustainable development at its core Sheikh Humoud highlighted that the greening initiative aligns with Kuwait's sustainable development goals and its broader future vision. The project is designed to encourage participation from individuals, companies, and cooperative societies to improve public spaces, including squares, main roads, and parks. Additionally, plans for the development of roundabouts, memorials, and murals along key highways are also part of the initiative. He emphasized the importance of this project in contributing to the beautification of Kuwait's urban environment, further stating that the Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee has set clear standards and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations. The committee has already identified the key locations for the project, determined the necessary permits, and established forms for initiative submissions. These include the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, Kuwait University, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, among others.
