Third suspect arrested, two sought after east Windsor home invasion

One of the suspects wanted after a violent home invasion in east Windsor has turned himself into police. Husien Khalaf, 27, turned himself in at Windsor Police headquarters on Thursday. Officers have now arrested three suspects and issued warrants for two others. Five suspects forced entry into a residence in the 2500 block of Luxury Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. on Jan. 13, 2025. The suspects stole a quantity of items before fleeing the scene in a Hyundai Tucson, which was stolen from the residence. On Feb. 14, officers arrested and charged 25-year-old Manal Khalaf. She was charged with a total of nine offences, including break-and-enter to commit robbery, robbery with an offensive weapon, and assault causing bodily harm. Investigators with the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit have since identified four additional suspects. Shortly before 10 a.m. on April 29, officers located and arrested Rana Chehada, 42, in the 2200 block of Highland Avenue. She has been charged with two counts of robbery with violence. Arrest warrants have been issued for the remaining three suspects. Alaa Khalaf, 19, and a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are all wanted for the following charges: Break-and-enter to commit robbery Robbery with an offensive weapon Robbery Assault causing bodily harm Assault with a weapon Assault Forcible confinement Uttering death threats Theft of a motor vehicle Alaa Khalaf is described as a Middle Eastern man, 5'4' tall, approximately 119 lbs, with a small build, short black goatee, black hair, and brown eyes.
