Katie Price 'pulls out' of 38-date tell-all tour with Kerry Katona
Katie Price has reportedly been forced to pull out of her much-anticipated 'tell-all' tour with friend Kerry Katona. The two noughties icons, who rose to fame as a glamour model and member of girlband Atomic Kitten respectively, met and forged a friendship when they pivoted to reality TV. Both starred on the 2004 series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which Kerry won while Katie was introduced to her former husband – and father of two of her children – Peter Andre through it. However, 47-year-old Katie has now been forced to cancel her participation for all 38 proposed dates of the tour with Kerry, 44, which was due to run throughout September and October. An Evening With Katie Price & Kerry Katona was set to visit venues including Redditch Palace Theatre, Stockport Plaza, Grimsby Auditorium, Portsmouth New Theatre Royal and Watford Palace Theatre. 'Katie is gutted and tried everything she could to make it work but she has had to step away from the tour because she has childcare commitments and also a very busy schedule,' a source told The Sun. 'She hates letting her fans down and hopes to be able to do something similar in the future.' The insider said that it was 'unclear' at the moment whether Kerry would press on it with it as a solo endeavour or if the whole tour would be scrapped. 'There is no bad blood between Kerry and Katie, they're still best of mates, but it's a huge blow to their fans,' they added. A representative for Katie also confirmed to the publication that she had pulled out, citing 'childcare commitments that come first'. The tour was due to kick off on Thursday September 11 in Ellesmere Port before concluding in Hull on Wednesday October 22. It had promised to see Katie and Kerry share 'stories of their friendship, marriage and divorce, bankruptcy, I'm A Celebrity, the importance of family, their constant press attention and turning their lives around'. The show – marketed as 'strictly 16+ only' due to adult content – also promoted 'some song and dance and an opportunity for audience questions' on one venue's website. Meet and Greet VIP tickets were an option for the tour as well. Kerry and Katie previously co-starred on stage together last year when they played the wicked step-sisters in the pantomime Cinderella at the Northwich Memorial Court in Cheshire. Katie shared on her podcast at the time how Kerry helped get her cast in the show, which has reportedly broken theatre records in ticket sales. 'So Kerry got me the gig because she has been working with them for six years,' she explained. 'And she was like 'Why don't you come and do this panto', and she said it was for the ugly sisters and I said, 'Oh are we ugly then?' and she said we can still be really pretty.' Despite ups and downs in their friendship over the years, Katie and Kerry have become very close with the two said to be relying on each other quite a lot for emotional support in recent times. Speaking to The Mirror, a source claimed: 'Katie and Kerry are growing closer over their shared experiences of tough times – they've been a shoulder for each other to cry on. 'Katie didn't have the best Mother's Day; she was working and didn't see her kids, which was tough for her.' Mum-of-five Katie was busy with another panto, Pinocchio, meaning that she spent Mother's Day without her children – 23-year-old Harvey, 19-year-old Junior, 17-year-old Princess, 11-year-old Jett, and 10-year-old Bunny. More Trending Pinocchio, her adults-only pantomime, in which she appeared opposite 90s comedian Bobby Davro, saw one venue, Chesham's Elgiva Theatre, slashed prices in a bid to sell more seats last month. The theatre reportedly decided to offer buyers a second ticket for half price once they'd bought their own ticket, after huge blocks of seats were still available for both the matinee and evening performances, with just a week to go. Katie Price pull out of joint tour with Kerry Katona and issues statement
Katie Price has quit her UK tour with Kerry Katona due to 'childcare commitments' leaving the entire 38-date tour in jeopardy three months before first show Katie Price has confirmed that she has made the decision to quit her 38-date UK tour with Kerry Katona, over "childcare commitments." The pair, who first met while on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here back in 2004, were set to embark on a nationwide tour together, which had been titled An Evening with Katie and Kerry - On Tour. It remains unknown whether Kerry, 44, will fulfil her side of the agreement and tour by herself or if the entire tour will be cancelled. A source claimed the model is 'gutted' and 'tried everything she could' in order to make the tour work, but has been forced to pull out of the tour. The source claimed to The Sun: "She hates letting her fans down and hopes to be able to do something similar in the future. At the moment, it's unclear whether Kerry will continue without her or if the whole tour will be scrapped." Keen to quell speculation of a rift between the two, the source claimed that both women are "still best of mates, but it's a huge blow to their fans." And a representative for Katie, 47, who is a mother of five confirmed: "Yes, that's correct. Kate has childcare commitments that come first." The first show was scheduled to be held at Ellesmere Port on September 11 and the tour was set to end in October 22 in Hull. The premise of the show was to treat fans to anecdotes of their two decade friendship, their marriages, divorces and bankruptcy issues. The tour was also set to address their time on I'm A Celebrity, family values and their journey towards turning their lives around, along with audience participation. Promoting their show before the shock announcement, a post on a ticket site said: "Join them for an evening that promises to be warm, inspirational, motivational and lots of fun!" It continued: "There will also be some song and dance and an opportunity for audience questions." And to make matters worse, meet and greet tickets were also being promoted with one theatre stating: "40 Meet & Greet tickets are available for an exclusive after-show Meet & Greet with the ladies." Back in March, theatre production company ABPLTD took to Instagram and posted: "AN EVENING WITH KATIE AND KERRY - ON TOUR @kerrykatona7 and @katieprice are heading out on the road this autumn for a tell-all tour sharing stories of their friendship, marriage and divorce, bankruptcy, 'I'm A Celebrity', the importance of family, their constant press attention and turning their lives around.

Brits music icon says she'd love to do Strictly but gets 'rejected every year by producers'
The singer, who rose to fame in the early 80s on the Eurovision Song Contest, revealed that BBC bosses have rejected her proposal to star on the show multiple times. UK Eurovision icon Cheryl Baker has revealed that she would love to participate in Strictly Come Dancing but she gets turned down by the producers every year. The 71-year-old singer, who was born Rita Maria Stroud, won the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest with the UK's pop group entry, Bucks Fizz, which she was a member of. However, it seems that the pop group's memorable win still isn't enough to get Cheryl Baker onto that Strictly Come Dancing ballroom floor. Cheryl still performs in the band alongside OG member Jay Aston and newcomers Nikk Mager and Matthew Pateman, but the group are now known as The Fizz instead. Speaking exclusively to Slingo, the singer revealed she's been repeatedly turned down for the BBC One reality series, despite regularly throwing her name into the ring. She also revealed that she had put herself forward for this year's Celebrity Traitors but was left 'gutted' to discover she was too late and the star studded cast had already been selected. While Cheryl has made her eagerness to dip her toes into reality TV pretty clear, also saying she'd 'love' a go on I'm A Celebrity, she has ruled out a return to Eurovision, despite insisting the group are now 'vocally stronger'. Formerly known as Bucks Fizz, the band were victorious in the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest Final with their song Making Your Mind Up. Their big win over 44 years ago comes as the second last time the UK have won the annual singing contest since. Britain have not been successful in Eurovision in the contest since 1997, when Katrina & The Waves came out on top with their song Love Shine A Light. During a conversation with Slingo, Cheryl was asked about her reality TV ambitions. She said: 'I'd love to do Strictly. I always put myself up for it every year, and they always say no, which is a great shame. I love dancing - I'm not a trained dancer, but I love dancing. "I would love to go do I'm A Celebrity - I would love that. I would also love to do Traitors. When I knew there was going to be a celebrity one, I contacted my agent and said, 'Get me on it!' "When she told me that they'd already cast it, I was gutted. I can't wait to see it, but I'd do any of them." Cheryl continued: "That's the way TV has gone. If you don't want to be on any of those shows, it really limits you to what you can do, because that's what's on TV now. "I miss Top of the Pops - I wish they'd bring it back. All the young artists now, they've got a televisual platform to show how good they are.' However, when questioned on a Eurovision return, she was not so keen. When asked if she'd ever go back on the contest, she said: " I mean, we've got our two new guys, they're great singers and if the cameras are far enough away… I'd hate for them to do camera close ups of Jay and I, and go, they're getting on a bit! "I feel vocally we're stronger now than we have been for years, because there's four of us and the boys are tremendous but I don't think we could do Eurovision again. 'We've carried on and had lots of gigs, working with Mike and Jay and now with Matthew [Pateman] and Nikk [Majer] as four. There are certain gigs that haven't employed us because we're not officially Bucks Fizz but we're really good!" Cheryl, 71, added: "We haven't done a Let's Rock for years, we used to do it as The Original Bucks Fizz, but because we're called The Fizz now, I'm guessing that's probably the reason we don't get to do it. "We do lots of other festivals and 80s weekends. It's great fun, I love it. They all chant and at the end we get them to sing 'A Land Of Make Believe' and they all sing it on their own, all the musicians cut out. I love it, what's not to love? It's such a boost to your ego!'

Katie Price encouraging Princess to appear on Love Island after recent split
Princess Andre has split from her partner, it's been reported this week, and her mum Katie Price hinted on a podcast recently about the model going on Love Island Reality TV star Katie Price has hinted that her daughter Princess Andre is potentially going on Love Island. It was announced earlier this afternoon that the teenager has split up from her mystery partner after two years together. Princess, 17, had typically kept her relationship out of the spotlight, but occasionally posted about her partner. It's now been reported this week that the former couple have separated after they "grew apart," with the apparent break-up having been described as "tough" for the model. Her mother Katie, 47, hinted at the prospect of Princess, who is the youngest of her two children with Peter Andre, 52, looking for love on TV in the future. She's shared that they have discussed the idea of her going on Love Island. Whilst speaking about TV with her sister Sophie Price on the Katie Price Show podcast, Katie said that she's encouraged Princess to sign up for the ITV2 show. She made the remark after reminding that the new series is launching soon. Katie said on the latest episode of the podcast, which was released yesterday: "Love Island starts soon." Revealing that she suggested that her daughter take part, she continued: "I keep saying to Princess 'Why don't you do Love Island?'" The former glamour model - who began a romance with her now ex-husband Peter on I'm A Celebrity - then shared Princess' apparent response. She told Sophie that her niece doesn't want to be known as a contestant from Love Island. After saying that she had mentioned the prospect of appearing on the dating show to Princess, Katie recalled "'No … because otherwise I'll be known as a Love Islander'. I said, 'No, you won't. Everyone knows you anyway'." Katie's podcast was released yesterday, prior to the news that Princess has separated from her partner, which has made headlines today. A source told the Sun, in an article published this afternoon, that there are "no hard feelings". The source told the outlet: "She always kept the romance out the public eye and it will be the same with her split. They just grew apart - they were each other's first love so it has been tough but there are no hard feelings." "He's still on good terms with both Katie and Peter," the source further commented. They went on to claim that Princess is now focusing on her career following the break-up and suggested she isn't looking for a relationship. Katie's comments come amid speculation over the line-up for the new series of Love Island, which is set to launch next month. ITV shared the release date just days ago, teasing in a post on Instagram that it begins June 9. The date was seen on a piece of paper attached to a heart floating in a pool in a photo included in the post on the platform earlier this week. "Mark your calendar, you're invited to this year's hottest meeting," the caption read.

GK Barry lands biggest career move to date as she takes on huge new role
After building a loyal following online and appearing on I'm A Celebrity, GK Barry is expanding her media presence with a major national radio debut on BBC Radio 1 Grace Keeling, better known as GK Barry, is stepping into a new role this summer—hosting her very own weekend show on BBC Radio 1 throughout July. Known for her rise from TikTok fame and I'm A Celebrity appearances, the 25-year-old influencer will be on air every Saturday and Sunday from 1–4pm starting July 4. 'This is completely different from podcasting,' she told MailOnline. 'I'm really excited to be presenting my own show with BBC Radio 1 this summer… I'm always listening to the radio when I travel, so I can't wait to interact with the listeners and get them involved in all the fun.' The BBC has teased that GK will be joined by 'special guests' throughout her run, offering fans a new side to the digital star. Meanwhile, fellow celebrity Jamie Laing is also returning to the airwaves - this time alongside his wife, Sophie Habboo, who'll co-host while his usual presenters are on maternity leave. Away from her growing media career, GK has spoken candidly about her childhood in the British Virgin Islands and her difficult transition back to the UK. Born Grace Keeling, she spent her early years in Tortola with her mother Loretta and stepfather Andrew, whom she considers her dad. 'From as young as I can remember, I was in Tortola and I was one of the only white girls,' she shared on the Loose Women podcast. 'All the aunties were doing my hair… little cornrows… I never saw anything different about that.' She described her school life there as racially diverse and inclusive. 'There were so many different races... I was friends with everyone. I had an incredible time.' But the move to Cambridge at age eight was a harsh contrast. 'We moved back to a predominantly white, small town, and I had a Caribbean accent,' she said. 'Now Jane, I don't know if you've ever gone into a small town with a Caribbean accent and be white, but it's vicious.' Struggling to connect with her peers, she recalled, 'Most people couldn't wrap their head around [it at school]... I'm talking about my life and people had no clue what I was on about.' She also remembered the racism her stepfather endured. 'My dad was getting a lot of hate at the time… so it was sort of just like, 'I don't really know where we all stand here'.' Host Jane Moore clarified, 'This is your stepdad, but he's your dad,' to which GK agreed.
