Princess Andre 'saw things kids shouldn't see' in mum Katie Price's dark times

Princess Andre has opened up about her turbulent childhood navigating her mum Katie Price's high-profile divorce. The former glamour model and Peter Andre met on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2004 and went on to have two children together – Princess, 18, and Junior, 20 – before separating in 2009. Now, Princess is telling her side of the story in a new ITV series, The Princess Diaries, which focuses on her relationship with fame and carving out her own reputation beyond her celebrity parents. During the first episode, which aired on ITV2 on Sunday, the mum-of-five made a voice note cameo, revealing that Princess was the 'naughtiest child' in the household growing up. Despite talk of a feud between the pair in recent weeks, Princess said on the show that she and her mum are like 'best friends'. Although she then opened up about the difficulties she faced growing up with 'a lot on her plate'. The social media influencer, who has 782k followers on Instagram, shared what she went through after Katie and her ex-husband Kieran Hayler broke up in 2018 after five years together. She said: 'We got really close to him and loved him. He did a lot of stuff, and when they split up, everything kind of went downhill. My mum, obviously, being heartbroken, didn't deal with that the best way. 'She went through a very, very dark time, which was understandable. It was hard for me because I was around adulty things that kids should never see. 'I think, as well, when we needed our mum there, she wasn't emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on.' Princess was 'asked questions' by her classmates about her family troubles after what they read in the papers. Then added: 'I would come home from school, get into bed, and cry at 11 years old. I would never go and speak to my dad about it because my mum and dad don't like each other, which is fair enough; they're not going to.' Even though Princess admitted she has never 'fully recovered' from the ordeal, she did reveal that her mum has 'genuinely fixed herself' and apologised to her kids about the way she behaved. During an appearance on This Morning last week, Princess said she was braced for all kinds of reaction to her show thanks to her parents. 'I feel like the way I think about it is if you're putting yourself out there, you have to expect negativity and positivity too. More Trending 'We learnt from our parents how to deal with it. There are horrible people but we just have to deal with it,' she said. Meanwhile, addressing the feud rumours when Katie didn't attend her 18th birthday party thrown by her father, she told Daily Mail, 'there's no rift' and that her mum was simply away for the last-minute birthday do. ITV The Fortune Hotel's Stephen Mangan hits back at comparisons to The Traitors

ITV's hit series The Fortune Hotel returns for a second series tonight - and host Stephen Mangan has addressed some fans' claims that the show is similar to BBC One's The Traitors ITV's gameshow The Fortune Hotel is back tonight, with a new cast of contestants hoping to take home a suitcase carrying £250,000 from the Caribbean resort. Hosted by actor Stephen Mangan, the new series is set to kick off with a major twist - as one couple is kicked off the show before they even make it to the hotel. ‌ Since premiering last year, the show has faced some comparisons to BBC One hit The Traitors - however, Stephen has insisted that the two series are very different. "I don't mind at all - The Traitors is a great show and there's plenty of room for more than one show," he told The Mirror in an exclusive chat. ‌ "I think it's clearly very different. We have those really tense sessions at the end but there's also a lot of fun in our show. It's really fun to watch. People are hilarious in it. ‌ "But I'm flattered by those comparisons. The proof of the pudding is always in whether people watch it and a lot of people watched out first series so that's the best thing really." Stephen Mangan spent a month in the Caribbean to film ITV 's The Fortune Hotel, but it wasn't all plain sailing - with the TV presenter admitting that it was 'tough' being away from his family for that long. ‌ The 57-year-old, who shares two sons with wife Louise Delamere, said: 'It was during term time so my family couldn't join hard phoning home when your wife's doing the school run in the rain in November and you're complaining about it being too hot on the beach. It doesn't go down very well.' As tensions rise and couples squabble, Stephen reveals that he struggles to watch the contestants bicker on the beach - which they do several times in the series. 'I don't like people falling out in front of me,' he says. 'I know some people go through life creating that drama but I'm not one of those people.' With the show now under his belt, Stephen admits that he now has no excuse not to do I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. 'I would like to say that I wouldn't want to go away from my family for that long to the jungle but clearly I'm doing it,' he says. While he's not too keen for the jungle, Stephen wants to bring back classic Channel 4 sitcom Green Wing after two decades. 'That would be fun to see them 20 years later,' he says. 'Comedy will always be my first love and I'll always come back to it.' The Fortune Hotel airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1.

Harry Redknapp's wife Sandra 'in hospital' as ITV racing pundit shares health update live on air

Harry Redknapp's wife Sandra has been hospitalised, according to a live update shared by racing presenter Matt Chapman. Chapman disclosed the information during a segment about King of Bears, the racehorse owned by the former football manager, amid ITV4's coverage from Great Yarmouth Racecourse. 'So, King of Bears, just to say Harry Redknapp will be watching this horse from his hospital bed, but not his bed, his missus Sandra is just being treated in hospital at the moment.' he told viewers. Chapman addressed the couple directly: 'Sandra, if you're listening in - I think she wanted to watch Emmerdale, but Harry's making her watch this race - I really hope King of Bears runs well. 'He's a character. He could win it, he could finish last, but he gives Jack Doughty a big chance for George Scott.' Details surrounding Sandra's condition and the reason for her hospitalisation have not yet been disclosed. However in the end, the King of Bears didn't win the race. Instead the 7/1 shot placed sixth. Sandra and Harry Redknapp have been married for 57 years, having first met as teenagers. The couple were just 17 when they started dating, and earlier this month, Harry marked their anniversary with a heartfelt tribute. He wrote: 'Where does the time go? I would be lost without you Sandra.' Now both 78, the pair told their love story in their joint memoir When Harry Met Sandra: Our Story, published in 2022. Their romance began with a date at the Two Puddings pub in East London back in 1963, eventually leading to marriage, two sons, Mark and Jamie, and a growing brood of grandchildren. Sandra stepped into the spotlight during Harry's winning stint on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, where his obvious devotion to her won over the nation. Then in 2022, Harry shared his fears after Sandra experienced serious breathing difficulties following a battle with Covid. Speaking to The Mirror, he said: 'The symptoms weren't good, if I'm truthful. You start to think about all kinds of sinister things. 'It's been a real worry. Sandra has suffered. Her voice had packed up and she was struggling for breath. Even swallowing food became difficult. She could choke on food easily if we weren't careful.' Sandra said of her health battle at the time: 'You don't realise what your vocal cords do until they're not working, because it affects breathing as well as talking. 'The shortness of breath was very difficult. My voice would vibrate and was very weak.' The Standard has contacted Harry Redknapp's rep for comment.

Gino D'Acampo 'to move to Australia' after ITV axe and misconduct allegations

Gino D'Acampo is reportedly relocating part-time to Australia following ITV's decision to cut ties with him after multiple allegations of inappropriate behaviour TV chef Gino D'Acampo is reportedly planning a major career move to Australia, five months after ITV cut ties with him following serious misconduct allegations. The famed TV chef, 48, is reportedly preparing to launch several new ventures Down Under, including two restaurants, a cookware range, and a tech platform, as he steps away from the UK spotlight. Though he will maintain a base in the UK, D'Acampo is expected to spend most of the next two years in Australia, according to reports. His representative hinted at the big move as they said: 'He loves Australia a lot - the people, culture, cleanliness and environment.' ‌ The decision comes after a turbulent year for the former This Morning regular. Earlier this year, ITV News conducted an investigation into 'unacceptable', 'distressing' and 'horrendous' behaviour by D'Acampo, some of which allegedly dates back over a decade. ‌ Last year, it was revealed that he had been placed on a language and behaviour course by ITV bosses. There were also claims ITV failed to act on repeated complaints, including incidents involving inappropriate comments made to This Morning host Holly Willoughby in 2018. D'Acampo was later sidelined from Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip after refusing to sign a morality clause. However, he has consistently denied all allegations made against him. ‌ A source close to the star told The Sun: 'Gino has had a fantastic career over here - and still has an incredibly loyal fanbase. But it's been made clear to him that TV opportunities over here are few and far between in the wake of recent allegations, and that's frustrating. 'While Gino has always denied any wrongdoing, he's a pragmatist and knows it's time for new adventures. He's been inundated with offers Down Under following a really successful tour there." ‌ D'Acampo, who won I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in the Australian jungle in 2009, reportedly fell in love with the country during his 2019 Aussie Escapes tour and is now exploring properties in Melbourne. 'He spent some time in Australia a few years ago, and loved it,' the source added. 'He still has a large social media following and plans to capitalise on that in the next stage of his career.' His wife Jessica and their three children are reportedly expected to remain in the UK for now, though 'if all goes well, Australia is a full-time option". The move follows the collapse of his restaurant business, which went into administration with debts of £7.3 million. He has since listed his £4.2 million Hertfordshire home for sale and is understood to have already bought another property in the UK. The Mirror has approached Gino's representatives for comment on this story.
