Katy Perry 'quietly told pals months ago' that Orlando Bloom romance was over
Popstar Katy Perry reportedly confided in close friends earlier this year that her relationship with Orlando Bloom was effectively over amid strain Katy Perry reportedly told close friends that her long-term relationship with fiancé Orlando Bloom was nearing its end back in January - after months of quiet struggle and emotional distance. According to a source close to the couple, the 40-year-old singer first opened up in January, privately admitting that things with Bloom, 48, had broken down. 'Katy confided in friends at the start of the year that their relationship was as good as done,' the insider revealed. 'They decided to hold off on announcing anything in case things improved between them, because they are desperate to stay together for the sake of their daughter.' The couple, who began dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later, share a four-year-old daughter, Daisy. But despite their efforts to keep the family unit together, demanding work schedules and physical distance have reportedly strained their bond. With Perry currently in Australia on her Lifetimes Tour and Bloom filming his new project Bucking Fastard in Dublin, their time together has been minimal this year. 'She knew that taking off her engagement ring would send a clear message,' the source told The Sun, hinting that the singer is emotionally preparing for the end. 'It's been a hard year so far. They wanted to wait until the tour is over before they made their split official, although Katy has grown tired of the situation.' While Bloom is expected to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding in Italy solo this week, Katy will remain in Australia. On stage in Sydney earlier this month, she may have subtly referenced her emotional state during a performance of her 2008 track I'm Still Breathing. Handed a pack of Tim Tams by a fan, she said: 'This song is about a break-up, and this Tim Tam saved me. Thank you.' The couple last appeared together publicly at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in March, and notably did not post tributes to each other on Valentine's Day - the sixth anniversary of their engagement. For Perry, this isn't the first high-profile romance to hit turbulence. She was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand, whom she wed in a lavish ceremony in India in 2010. The marriage ended just 14 months later. Brand famously filed for divorce via text message, a moment Perry later described as devastating. Their split was finalised in 2012, with Perry citing "irreconcilable differences." Bloom also has a child from a previous marriage - he shares son Flynn, 14, with ex-wife and supermodel Miranda Kerr. Addressing speculation that her relationship with Bloom ended over her Blue Origin space flight, the source dismissed it outright. 'That's nonsense,' they said. 'The truth is that their relationship has been on shaky ground for a long time now. Going to space was a welcome distraction from what was going on, if nothing else.'

To add fuel to the fire, while performing, the singer made a cryptic comment about a break-up onstage, which sparked curiosity amongst fans about her relationship. In the middle of her performance of her 2008 heartbreak anthem 'I'm Still Breathing', Perry was handed a packet of chocolate biscuits. She said, 'This song is about a break-up, and this Tim Tam saved me.' That left fans speculating if she is referring to her and Bloom, hinting that they have now gone their separate ways. The 'Pirates of the Caribbean" actor and 'I'm His, He's Mine' singer first sparked dating rumours in 2016 at the Golden Globes after-party. In the same year, the pair publicly confirmed their relationship after Perry posted a picture of Bloom on Instagram. However, the couple separated a year later but went on to patch things up in 2018. In 2019, the pair announced that they were engaged after Perry debuted her flower-shaped cluster with a deep red centre stone engagement ring on Instagram. The singer debuted her baby bump in a music video in 2020 and welcomed her first child with Bloom, Daisy Dove Bloom. They have since made multiple public appearances together, and in 2022, rumours of the two planning their wedding started swirling around; however, they have not yet tied the knot. Despite the break-up news making the rounds on the internet, the pair have not yet confirmed or denied the rumours.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's pal shares blunt take on couple's split rumours
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been engaged since February 2019 but recent chatter suggests the couple, who started dating nine years ago, are navigating a break-up Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's relationship "is on the rocks," a friend has claimed. Reports emerged last week the couple, who got engaged in February 2019, are navigating a break-up, talk fuelled when Katy, 40, was seen without her signature ruby engagement ring. It has since been claimed Orlando, 48, will attend Jeff Bezos' wedding in Venice alone, and not with his partner as first planned. A friend of the pair has told Mail Online: "Unfortunately they are on the rocks... I'm afraid it does not look promising." Their bleak assessment of the relationship, which began in 2016, comes after other sources shared their pessimism. An insider told the New York Post: "It's over. They're just waiting until the tour is done before they split." Katy's The Lifeime Tours is currently in Australia and moves to the US next month. It doesn't finish, though, until December, after Katy performs across the UK. She currently has the couple's daughter, Daisy Dove, with her, it is understood. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom 'waiting to announce their split' after secret 'break-up' On stage in Sydney recently, Katy took a chocolate Tim Tam biscuit – an Australian brand – from a fan and said: "This song is about a break-up, and this Tim Tam saved me." She was in the middle of performing her 2008 heartbreak anthem I'm Still Breathing. And Katy has, indeed, experienced her own share of heartbreak since then. The singer was on the road in Asia in 2012 when then husband Russell Brand requested - by text - a divorce, despite "running herself ragged" trying to keep that flame alive. Throughout her two-year marriage with Russell, Katy had couples' therapy, while she and Orlando also had sessions during their engagement, it is believed. In one of her last interviews concerning her relationship, Katy, from Santa Barbara, California, said: "He's very sensitive. Very emotionally evolved. He gets up at 7am and chants for an hour. One of the things that binds us is our desire to be more spiritually evolved, and our desire to investigate that realm." And, of Katy, Orlando has said: "We're in two very different pools [for work]. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands. Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging. I won't lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity." The UK leg of Katy's tour, which starts in October in Belfast, will see the ten-time Grammy nominee visit Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and London. She then takes the tour across Europe and Asia, ending the run in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on December 7.

Is Orlando Bloom at his "breaking point" with fiancé Katy Perry? Report suggests growing distance
Katy Perry's core aesthetic may be psychedelia, but consistent, bourgeoning chaos isn't really a ride one is meant to survive endlessly. If surfacing reports are to be believed, there seems to be some seething trouble in the singer's relationship with her actor fiancé Orlando Bloom. The two went public with their romance back in 2016, with a perfectly-timed engagement following 3 years later on Valentine's Day, 2019. The very next year in August, is when Katy gave birth to their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, 4 years old as of now. However, between the ecstatic 2019 engagement and now, there apparently has been close to nil planning with regards to an actual wedding. As per a US Weekly source-based report, "(they) never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything". Add to this the fact that Katy recently kickstarted her Lifetimes tour taking daughter Daisy along with her, and we have on our hands a case where distance may not be making the heart fonder. An exclusive source told Entertainment Tonight, "Things between Katy and Orlando haven't been great for a few months. Orlando is coming to a breaking point with the tension in their relationship". Additional factors have also had their fair role in weighing in on the pressure: "Katy has been upset over the backlash she faced from her trip to space and her album has been trying to be supportive because he knows how hard things can be when balancing everything, especially when kids are involved. But Katy's demeanor has become increasingly frustrating for him", added the source. A post shared by KATY PERRY (@katyperry) And it gets worse. For her recent Sydney concert, Katy belted out her breakup anthem, I'm Still Breathing, for the first time, quipping (or not!) at the end of it, how "it's very Scorpio of (her)...". Do you think Katy and Orlando are done?
