The Weeknd And Jimmy Fallon Make Fordham Students Groove To Blinding Lights
Last Updated: The crowd broke into loud cheers as The Weeknd started to perform Blinding Lights with Jimmy Fallon. Grammy Award-winning singer The Weeknd and Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon gave the seniors at Fordham University a graduation bash they will remember for the rest of their lives. The students were surprised to see Jimmy Fallon appearing at their graduation celebration to perform as a DJ. The Tonight Show took to their official Instagram page to share glimpses of the moment when Fallon and The Weeknd teamed up to throw the most unexpected graduation bash of the year. In the reel, Fallon was seen hyping up the crowd with, 'Yo, what's up! Congratulations, class of 2025!" which was met with loud cheers and applause. He got the crowd warmed up to the intro of The Weeknd's Blinding Lights. The joyous sea of students started to groove to the beats of this track when they got interrupted by The Weeknd himself as the singer waltzed through the doors, leaving the students starstruck. The crowd broke into a loud cheer as The Weeknd started to perform Blinding Lights with Jimmy Fallon, crashing their graduation party at the Lincoln Center campus in New York City. During the chorus, Fallon was seen jumping up to the front and grabbing a microphone to join the singer. Both Fallon and The Weeknd were seen dancing with Fordham's mascot, Ramses, in turn. The singer then shifted to another song, I Can't Feel My Face, and the crowd was captured singing word-to-word. At the end of their performance, Fallon and The Weeknd shared a hug and shouted to the crowd, 'That's how you do it! Goodbye, everyone!" And with that, the duo wrapped up their set. Later on Thursday night, the singer appeared on The Tonight Show hosted by Fallon, where both of the stars were seen raving about each other's performances. Discussing the experience with Fordham seniors, the singer revealed he didn't expect the response to be that crazy. According to Fordham University, the idea of inviting Fallon and The Weeknd to crash the graduation celebration came from a senior at the college named Nina Polaris, who is majoring in theater and is currently working as an intern at the Tonight Show. The Weeknd and Jimmy Fallon Crash Fordham University's Graduation Party with a Big Performance
Jimmy Fallon and The Weeknd snuck to Fordham University, where its graduating class of 2025 was gathered to celebrate The students didn't know their graduation party was hosting some famous guests "Whoa! 2025!" The Weeknd sang, prompting thunderous applauseJimmy Fallon and The Weeknd are giving the class of 2025 a celebration to remember. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon host and the singer — a.k.a Abel Tesfaye — snuck to Fordham University, where its graduating class of 2025 was gathered to celebrate. The students didn't know their graduation party was hosting some famous guests until Fallon was announced as their DJ. "Yo, what's up! Congratulations, Class of 2025!" Fallon belted to a room filled with clapping and cheers. A giddy, awkward pause set in as Fallon realized he's never been a DJ in his life and didn't know how to work the equipment. "Can I plug my phone in, maybe?" he quipped, reaching for some cords and eventually giving it the ol' college try. Fallon got the crowd warmed up as the intro to The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" played, and joyous screams erupted as the singer himself waltzed through the doors. The Weeknd high-fived Fallon and performed an animated, upbeat set for Fordham's ecstatic students. For the chorus, Fallon abandoned his post at the turntable and grabbed a microphone to join The Weeknd. The singer, in turn, was caught up dancing with Fordham's mascot, a ram named Ramsey, who came close to stealing the show with his moves. The Weeknd then shifted to his hit "I Can't Feel My Face," to which — like the first song — the students sang every word. "Whoa! 2025!" The Weeknd sang, prompting thunderous applause. Fallon hugged the singer as their set wrapped up, and shouted to the crowd: "That's how you do it! Goodbye everyone!" And with that, the dynamic duo ducked out. NBA Star Kevin Durant Says Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show ‘Meant Nothing to' Him
Kevin Durant wasn't too enthralled with Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show. When asked about Lamar's performance on Monday (Feb. 10), the Phoenix Suns star called the day 'boring' and said it was of little interest to him. 'It meant nothing to me,' he said to reporter Dana Scott. 'No thoughts — I didn't really pay attention to it to be honest. It was a little boring day for a Super Bowl. The game got out of hand. The Super Bowl Halftime Show — I didn't pay attention to it. I kinda skimmed through the whole thing, to be honest.' More from Billboard Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show: 10 Things You Didn't See on TV Cam'ron Finally Reveals Why Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana's Joint Album 'I Can't Feel My Face' Was Never Released Avril Lavigne Set to Perform at Warped Tour for First Time Ever With Durant being a diehard Washington Commanders fan, who lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship, and a vocal Drake supporter, Super Bowl LIX wasn't exactly the broadcast geared toward him. The Super Bowl scoreboard doesn't do the game justice, as the Eagles blew out defending champions Kansas City Chiefs more than the 40-22 final score indicated on Sunday (Feb. 9) in New Orleans. Durant has been tight with Drake for years now. KD even earned an A&R credit on Drizzy's 2023 For All the Dogs album, and he spent some time with the 6 God in Toronto over the summer. 'Whenever Drake just wants to talk about life I'm there for him and he just gave me that title,' the Suns star previously said of his A&R role with Drake. It appears Drake may have sent some records from the $ome $exy $ongs 4 U collab project with PartyNextDoor to Durant before the album arrives on Friday (Feb. 14). Durant championed the effort and deemed that Drizzy and PND have a 'classic otw' with the project. Drake dropped off another snippet from $$$4U along with showcasing the joint project's snowy cover art on Tuesday (Feb. 11). The cover features Drizzy and PND in fur coats backed by the Absolute Towers in Mississauga.
