ORGANIZATION OF AN INTERNATIONAL CEREMONY FOR THE AWARDING OF FINANCIAL AND NON-FINANCIAL COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATES AT EURONEXT On Tuesday, June 25, COFICERT, in partnership with IGSF, hosted an official ceremony to award financial and non-financial compliance certificates at the Euronext headquarters, located at the Paris Stock Exchange. Several delegations from institutions known for their dedication to compliance and responsible finance, representing almost fifteen nations, came together for this event. A number of organisations received compliance certificates in line with globally accepted standards, such as the AML 30001® Standard (AML/CFT 2025 version), which is focused on counter-terrorism financing and anti-money laundering, and the MSI 20000® Standard, which is focused on governance and financial quality. The ISO 37001® Standard, which focusses on anti-corruption, and the ESG 1000® Standard, which is dedicated to governance and quality of non-financial governance structures, were also emphasised during the event. The ceremony was attended by Véronique de la Bachelerie, President of IGSF, Jérôme Gacoin, President of COFICERT, and Souheil Skander, CEO of COFICERT. It also gathered representatives from the European Commission, the World Bank, the OECD, and the EU Global Facility on AML/CFT, reflecting the growing importance attached to certification to these standards and international cooperation between Europe, Africa, and the Middle East in these areas. This convergence around a shared normative framework demonstrates a collective will to foster greater transparency and a standardized language, serving as a catalyst for universal compliance. The companies certified during this ceremony belong to strategic sectors, placing them in a position to drive change within their respective countries or regions, thereby fostering the widespread adoption of best practices and contributing to enhanced integrity across the financial system. Notably, the companies that made the trip to Paris are among the leading financial and economic players on the African continent. West and Central Africa were represented by BSIC and NSIA Bank (Benin, Guinea, Togo, Senegal), as well as BGFIBank Group (Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Cameroon, DRC), all of which hold prominent regional positions. North Africa was well represented by Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt, with leading institutions such as Bank of Tunisia, Tunisie Leasing & Factoring, Tunisie Valeurs, Hannibal Lease, BSB TOYOTA, Attawfiq Microfinance, and Alamana Microfinance. The diversity of these profiles illustrates the inclusive and structuring purpose of the MSI 20000® Standard, uniting key transformational actors at a regional level and compliance drivers at an international level. The organization of this event, along with the presence of official delegations and international organizations, underscores the growing importance attributed to financial and non-financial compliance as a pillar of performance, responsibility, and ultimately, value creation. Kevin Spacey Teases Plans For "Substantial" Comeback
Actor Kevin Spacey has faced plenty of allegations, legal troubles, and Hollywood blacklisting that it can be surprising to see he's eager for a 'substantial' comeback. Spacey also offered forgiveness for 'those who rushed to judgment,' given how his recent legal trials turned out to have been in his favor. The actor revealed as much while participating in an interview during his attendance of the Italian Global Series Festival (IGSF) in Rimini. He first answered when IGSF Artistic Director Marco Spagnoli asked about the way his legal experiences have changed him. Here's how Spacey answered via Deadline: 'These experiences have allowed me to stop, assess, reassess and listen, and be very grateful for the work I'm able to do both on screen and off screen. 'I'm filled with gratitude for those in my industry who stood by me, those individuals who were willing to wait for an outcome in the courts before they decided how they felt about me. Those people have my trust, and I will do everything I can to maintain their trust for the rest of my life.' Spacey continued to share a message for those who chose not to stand by him, and while he doesn't plan to work with them, he does offer them forgiveness: 'For those who rushed to judgment and decided I was guilty, and treated me accordingly, they have my forgiveness, but I am not seeking them out to collaborate.' Of course, Spacey is still involved with some legal issues, and most recently they involve a UK suit from actor Ruari Cannon. As with his previous lawsuits, however, he is denying the allegations and in general he has been adamant that he did not commit any illegal crimes even if he may have acted inappropriately at times. Riccione: South Korean psychological thriller 'Doubt' has won the Best International Drama Series award at the inaugural edition of the Italian Global Series Festival (IGSF)on Saturday, reported Variety. The film was written by Han Ah-young and directed by Song Yeon-hwa. It stars Han Suk-kyu and Chae Won-bin in the lead roles. For his performance in the series, Han Suk-Kyu won the Best Actor in a Drama Series, reported Variety. He played the role of a renowned profiler torn between love and suspicion as he investigates a murder linked to his psychopathic daughter. According to Variety, Lisa Mulcahy won best director of a drama series for the U.K. show 'The Assassin,' while the best actress in a drama series prize went to Phyllis Logan for 'The Puzzle Lady.' The drama jury was led by director Cristina Comencini. Spain's 'Celeste,' written by Diego San Jose, took the best international comedy series award, while best actress in a comedy series was handed to the show's Carmen Marchi, reported Variety. Other prizes in the comedy category included best director, which went to Christopher Smith for Ireland's 'Video Nasty,' and best actor, picked up by Ahmet Kural for the Turkish show 'Gassal,' reported Variety. A special jury award was given to Steven Moffat's U.K. series 'Douglas Is Cancelled.' According to Variety, the jury of the limited series competition, headed by director/screenwriter Bille August, voted for Ukrainian war drama 'The Train' as best limited series. While the best director award for International Limited Series went to Lucy Gaffy for 'Mix Tape,' a co-production between Australia, Canada and Ireland. In the same category, the acting awards went to Laure Calamy for France's 'The Confidante' and Matthew Gurney for the U.K.'s 'Reunion.' The special jury prize was handed to 'Kabul' written by Olivier Demangel, Thomas Finkelkraut and Joey Lavy. The Italian Global Series Festival took place from June 23 to June 28 in Riccione and Rimini, Italy.
