INEOS AUTOMOTIVE SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT WITH BOLD NEW AD CAMPAIGN - Middle East Business News and Information

Provocative ad campaign 'Us vs. Them' highlights distinctive personality of Grenadier INEOS Automotive shows its humourous side with 'Lets Take This Outside' billboard ad 'Good luck to the others: they're cool cars. But we're tired of the comparisons. To be clear , this is all about saying we're different.' – Lynn Calder, CEO at INEOS Automotive ______________________________________________________________________________ Dubai, April 2025 – INEOS Automotive has launched a bold advertising campaign to clearly differentiate the Grenadier 4X4 from the regular school-run SUVs and soft-roading crossovers. While respecting various rival manufacturers for their success in those segments, the Grenadier was engineered to follow a different trail. The lead advert being activated in social media and on out-of-home billboards depicts the Grenadier, with muddy scars and splashes from off-roading, pitted against another brand's clean and tidy model. A cheeky provocative caption is intended to raise a smile. The campaign follows a series of unsuccessful legal challenges around the world that were intended to disrupt the development and sales of the Grenadier and hinder the growth of the start-up British brand. After years of unnecessary distraction, INEOS Automotive is drawing a line in the sand. 'We've held our tongues while winning the court cases over and over again, and we feel it's now time to set the record straight: we're not them and we're not trying to be them,' said Lynn Calder, CEO at INEOS Automotive . 'Good luck to the others: they're cool cars. But we're tired of the comparisons. To be clear, this is all about saying we're different.' The 'Us vs. Them' digital advert is the first in a series of campaign activations over the coming months.

Automaker INEOS adjusts pricing as a result of tariffs

DETROIT, April 4 (Reuters) - London-based INEOS Automotive is increasing prices on its premium vehicles as a result of the new 25% tariff on auto imports, the company said Friday. While the smaller automaker said it's "doing all it can" to prevent prices on its France-built vehicles from increasing, it will be raising prices at lower percentage rates than the tariff fee. The automaker, which launched in the U.S. in 2023, said orders placed before April 3, when President Donald Trump instituted the 25% auto tariff, on its U.S. Grenadier SUV will be price-protected without extra charges at the time of delivery. Prices for new orders of the SUV will be held to a 5% increase, the company said, with the new starting price set at $78,855. The INEOS Quartermaster pick-up truck, which is already subject to a 25% tax on imported trucks on top of the 25% import tariff, will see a 10% price increase with its new starting price set at $92,900. North America is INEOS' largest market, accounting for more than 60% of its global sales. The company does not release sales figures.

INEOS Automotive statement on the US tariffs announcement

LONDON , /CNW/ -- We are outraged that the tariff situation with the US has been neglected by the EU. President Trump has been very clear on his intention to implement tariffs on the auto industry. He has been asking for fairness and reciprocity and yet European leaders have not come to the table to negotiate a better solution. The US government has also been clear about the consequences of non-engagement. This should be a surprise to no-one in the EU, and it could and should have been averted. Lynn Calder , CEO of INEOS Automotive commented: "This is what happens when politicians sit on their hands. As a growing EU-based automobile brand, we are vulnerable to tariffs, and we need our politicians to support our business, our jobs and our economies. We need urgent and direct political intervention on tariffs." "We will give whatever support we can to our political leaders to keep the playing field even for small, competitive brands such as Grenadier. But we must see action from EU politicians: only they are in a position to address the issue. Fortunately, we have been planning for tariffs but there is only so much we can do to protect US customers from price rises."

BIOMASS INVESTMENT BOOSTS SUSTAINABILITY OF INEOS AUTOMOTIVE'S HAMBACH FACTORY - Middle East Business News and Information

Sophisticated 2 MW biomass plant to supply 78% of production site's heating Annual consumption of woodchips will be locally and sustainably sourced Switching to Biomass for heating estimated to cut 8,800 tonnes of CO2 from Hambach's emissions per year Investment in Hambach now stands at nearly €540m since 2019 ' The new biomass plant is the latest in a longstanding and ongoing programme of sustainability-driven initiatives at Hambach . It was critical for us to increase our sustainable energy capacity to meet our growing consumption as the site expands.' – Philippe Steyer, President of INEOS Automotive SAS _________________________________________________________________________________ Dubai, 20 March 2025 – INEOS Automotive has opened a cutting-edge €15m biomass heat plant at its Hambach production and assembly site. With a 9.2 megawatt output, the plant will consume up to 14,000 tonnes of locally- and sustainably-sourced woodchips per year, to supply 78% of the facility's heating requirements. More than half a billion euros has been invested in Hambach since 2019. Key upgrades over the last five years include a new fully-automated bodyshop, semi-automated paintshop, quality inspection laboratory, and a wading pool for water ingress testing. With this, the plant's usable footprint has grown by over 60% to a total of 210,000 m², resulting in a significant increase in heating requirements. The new biomass plant features two boilers with joint thermal outputs of 8.4 MW connected to an 800 KW heat pump. It will supply over three-quarters of the site's heating needs, with the existing gas boiler providing the balance. The switch to biomass is expected to cut around 8,800 tonnes of CO2 per year from the site's emissions. Waste ash is then recycled via the local agriculture industry – its high nitrate content making for an enriched fertiliser. 'Our ongoing investment in Hambach means our Grenadier and Quartermaster models are built to world-class quality standards, and in an environmentally sustainable factory, for export to over 50 sales markets around the world,' said Lynn Calder, CEO INEOS Automotive. 'We're very proud of the advanced facilities and its exceptional workforce, which together make it one of the most advanced automotive production sites in Europe .' Philippe Steyer, President of INEOS Automotive SAS, said: ' The new biomass plant is the latest in a longstanding and ongoing programme of sustainability-driven initiatives at Hambach . It was critical for us to increase our sustainable energy capacity to meet our growing consumption as the site expands.' Fortifying Hambach's longstanding sustainability track record, the Hambach Energy Transition project marks another huge investment in the site. It was supported by France's ADEME (Agency for Environment & Energy Management) with a €3.9m grant under Heat Fund assistance & PNCEE (Pôle national des certificats d'économies d'énergie). It is also assisted by an agreement between INEOS Automotive and Dalkia, which is providing a grant of up to €1.5m.
