SWK Womens triumph as Women's League 2024-25 Champions!
Muscat: Oman Cricket (OC) is delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the 2024-25 Women's League, with ISWK Womens beating ISC MKW (Indian Social Club – Mangalorean Konkani Wing) in the finals, marking a significant milestone in the development of women's cricket in the Sultanate. This season witnessed remarkable participation, competitive spirit, and showcased the immense talent of women cricketers across the nation. Building on the momentum from previous seasons, the 2024-25 Women's League saw an unprecedented number of teams for the second consecutive season, reflecting OC's commitment to promoting women's cricket. The league featured eight teams, divided into two groups, competing with zeal and sportsmanship. The teams included ISC MKW, ISWK Women's, Muscat Women's, OCA Women's, Pakistan Women's, Womens Cricket Sohar, SLSM Women, and Team Ghubra. The Semi Finals was played between ISWK Women's and Pakistan Women's while ISC MKW faced Women's Cricket Sohar. Both ISWK Women's and ISC MKW were unbeaten before the finals, ISWK Women's claiming the title unbeaten. In the finale, ISWK Women's scored 146 for 2 in their 20 overs courtesy Jayadhanya Gunasekar's 69 of 63 and Disha Kumar's run-a-ball 43. ISC MKW managed to close in but couldn't finish well as Suhaani Dadhwal scored 62 of 52 but got out in the 16th over. ISC MKW ended up on 136 for 10 falling short by 10 runs. In the prize distribution, Mr. Varun Khimji, Board Advisor – Oman Cricket and Mr. Duleep Mendis, Chief Development Officer - Oman Cricket handed the accolades. Jayadhanya Gunasekar was adjudged Best Batter, Disha Kumar was adjudged Best Bowler and Priyanka Mendonca was adjudged Player of the Tournament. The success of this season aligns with OC's #Cricket4Her initiative, launched in October 2023, aimed at fostering women's cricket through coaching, competition, commitment, and community engagement. This initiative has been instrumental in increasing participation and elevating the standard of women's cricket in Oman. Oman Cricket remains steadfast in its dedication to nurturing and promoting women's cricket. The 2024-25 Women's League has set a new benchmark, and OC is committed to building on this foundation to ensure sustained growth and success in the coming seasons.

ISC MKW beat Pakistan School Muscat in women's cricket; MCCC Yellow U11, BSC AEC U11 win
Muscat – ISC Manglorean Konkani Wing (MKW) defeated Pakistan School Muscat Women's by nine wickets in the Women's Cricket League 2024-25. PSM Women's scored 119/7 in 20 overs thanks mainly to Lujaina Sajid's 27. For ISC MKW, Priyanka Mendonca picking up three wickets for 10 runs and Pratima B bagged two. In response, ISC MKW's openers Priyanka Mendonca (44 runs) and Trupti Pawde (49) stitched a match-winning 102 run partnership. Meanwhile, MCCC Yellow U11 defeated MCCC Blue U11 by 248 runs in the U11 Junior Cricket League 2024-25. In another match BSC AEC U11 beat MCCC Red U11 by 246 runs.
