Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Coronation Street seems to have given fans a sneak peek at Bethany Platt's fresh look ahead of her anticipated return to the soap. Bethany first graced our screens back in 2000, born on-screen to mother Sarah (played by Tina O'Brien). Now portrayed by Lucy Fallon, it's safe to say that Bethany has weathered her fair share of dramatic storylines. In 2017, she found herself embroiled in a heart-wrenching plot involving child exploitation and grooming, earning Lucy an Inside Soap Award for her performance. However, in February this year, she bid farewell to the cobbles to pursue a journalism career in London. (Image: ITV) This temporary departure allowed Lucy to take maternity leave, with the actress welcoming her second child with footballer partner Ryan Ledson in January, reports the Daily Star. Come May, it was announced that Lucy would be returning to Coronation Street to reprise her role as Bethany. Lucy confirmed last month that she had resumed filming on the cobbles. Now, after viewing a recent video shared on Coronation Street's social media, fans are speculating that the soap has unveiled Bethany's revamped look. The video features several ITV stars sending their best wishes to the Lionesses ahead of their triumphant win at the Euros 2025. Among those appearing were Corrie's own Lucy, Peter Gunn, who portrays Brian Packham, and David Neilson, known for his role as Roy Cropper. Lucy's transformation into Bethany was quite the sight, as she donned a gothic-inspired ensemble featuring a black cropped top and skirt, topped off with a lace choker. Fans took to a Reddit thread to share their thoughts on Bethany's new look, with one person asking: "Is Bethany going goth when she comes back?" Another fan was impressed, commenting: "She looks fab!". A third fan expressed their reservations, posting: "All for people being confident but doesn't seem like the type of outfit Bethany would want to wear, especially with the stoma and the top being cropped. Probably has already been forgotten or she got some miracle surgery fix." Speculation arose among other fans that the outfit choice might be linked to Halloween scenes being filmed for an October broadcast. One observant fan speculated: "I'm going to assume it's something to do with Halloween, they should be filming end of October around now." Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX

Nina (Mollie Gallagher) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) have had quite the dramatic week after consuming LSD at Aadi's (Adam Hussain) house party. The hallucinogenic was brought to the party by Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), who intended to sell it. After discovering him with the drug, Aadi kicked him out but not before agreeing to share it with Nina and Summer. Despite Nina and Summer being the ones to take the LSD, Aadi's drink was mistakenly consumed by Lauren Bolton (Lauren Bolton), who experienced a terrifying trip. Nina and Summer left someone for dead while high on LSD (Image: ITV ) Later, an upset Nina and Summer arrived at the cafe in tears. Clearly shaken from a distressing experience, they agreed that they couldn't return to whatever had transpired off-screen, reports Leicestershire Live. Article continues below In Wednesday's episode (June 25), the pair attempted to piece together their night, with Nina disclosing that while under the influence, they left someone dying on the street. Meanwhile, Maria (Samia Longchambon) began to worry when her husband Gary (Mikey North) disappeared. Gary took a break from the cobbles last week to visit his mum after a surprise kiss with Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty). ITV Coronation Street viewers rumble devastating split for beloved fan favourite couple
Coronation Street fans believe the end is near for one beloved couple as viewers have predicted a break-up is on the cards in upcoming scenes. ITV Coronation Street fans believe that a beloved couple could be set to split in upcoming scenes. Carla Connor, played by Alison King and Lisa Swain, portrayed by Vicky Myers, started their relationship at the end of last year and have since been hailed as a "power couple" by viewers. The pair, who are affectionately nicknamed as Swarla by fans, are currently living together with Lisa's teenage daughter, Betsy, played by Sydney Martin. It's been a difficult few weeks for the detective sergeant after the death of her employee, Craig Tinker, played by Colson Smith, last month. Lisa was left heartbroken by Craig's death with Carla left to console her at home. Keen to secure her future with Carla sooner rather than later, Lisa asked her partner to marry her in a cliffhanger ending. Carla later questioned if Lisa had intended to propose with the detective admitting that she may have let her emotions get the better of her, Leicester Mercury reports. Carla asked: "So you didn't mean it?" Carla asked, with Lisa replying: "No, I did. Of course I did. I love you" before explaining that she was just trying to be "nice". Carla jokingly remarked that Lisa should buy her a cake if she just wanted to be nice, with Lisa responding: "Fine, I was stupid, so now I'm officially withdrawing my offer." Carla then said that she hopes they will get married one day but added that it needs to be out of "love, not grief". During Monday night's episode on June 9, Lisa gave Carla and Betsy the cold shoulder ahead of Craig's memorial the following day. At Underworld, Carla spoke to Betsy about her worry for Lisa, saying: "It's just your mum. She's very hard to read, isn't she? "I've been trying to get her to open up, what with it being the memorial tomorrow, and she won't say anything." Betsy revealed that she was used to being met with her mum's one-word answers, a sign that she was "struggling". Determined to cheer Lisa up, Carla decided to make her a romantic dinner. However, Lisa was not impressed with this kind gesture when she returned home, saying: "I didn't ask for this, Carla." Lisa insisted that she was "fine" and quickly left the flat to go for a walk to clear her head. After watching the tense scenes unfold, Coronation Street viewers are convinced that a break up could now be on the cards for the coule. Taking to a Facebook fan page, one wrote: "Wow Lisa, why not throw your truncheon and whistle out of the pram, what a child! Another chimed in: "Really can't see those two getting married". Meanwhile, a third agreed: "Don't think they are matched well for each other. They'll probably split soon." A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "Lisa has gone funny since Carla turned her down," with another similarly sharing: "I think they will split up, this relationship doesn't work."
