Coronation Street seems to have given fans a sneak peek at Bethany Platt's fresh look ahead of her anticipated return to the soap.
Bethany first graced our screens back in 2000, born on-screen to mother Sarah (played by Tina O'Brien). Now portrayed by Lucy Fallon, it's safe to say that Bethany has weathered her fair share of dramatic storylines.
In 2017, she found herself embroiled in a heart-wrenching plot involving child exploitation and grooming, earning Lucy an Inside Soap Award for her performance.

Last year saw Bethany undergo botched plastic surgery abroad, resulting in her needing a stoma bag. However, in February this year, she bid farewell to the cobbles to pursue a journalism career in London.

This temporary departure allowed Lucy to take maternity leave, with the actress welcoming her second child with footballer partner Ryan Ledson in January, reports the Daily Star.
Come May, it was announced that Lucy would be returning to Coronation Street to reprise her role as Bethany. Lucy confirmed last month that she had resumed filming on the cobbles.
Now, after viewing a recent video shared on Coronation Street's social media, fans are speculating that the soap has unveiled Bethany's revamped look.
The video features several ITV stars sending their best wishes to the Lionesses ahead of their triumphant win at the Euros 2025. Among those appearing were Corrie's own Lucy, Peter Gunn, who portrays Brian Packham, and David Neilson, known for his role as Roy Cropper.
Lucy's transformation into Bethany was quite the sight, as she donned a gothic-inspired ensemble featuring a black cropped top and skirt, topped off with a lace choker.
Fans took to a Reddit thread to share their thoughts on Bethany's new look, with one person asking: "Is Bethany going goth when she comes back?" Another fan was impressed, commenting: "She looks fab!".
A third fan expressed their reservations, posting: "All for people being confident but doesn't seem like the type of outfit Bethany would want to wear, especially with the stoma and the top being cropped. Probably has already been forgotten or she got some miracle surgery fix."
Speculation arose among other fans that the outfit choice might be linked to Halloween scenes being filmed for an October broadcast. One observant fan speculated: "I'm going to assume it's something to do with Halloween, they should be filming end of October around now."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX

Original stars of iconic 00s horror spoof franchise return for reboot

Scary Movie fans, it's time to get excited as Regina Hall and Anna Faris have officially returned for the upcoming reboot. The first film hit the big screen in July 2000, and became a huge hit, parodying some of the biggest horrors around, including I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream, Halloween and the Blair Witch Project. Keenen Ivory Wayans directed the first two films, while Shawn and Marlon Wayans wrote and starred in them. Last year, it was announced that another instalment of the spoof franchise was on the way with the Wayans brothers on board, more than a decade after the fifth one was released. After intense speculation, Anna and Regina – who played Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks in the first four films – have now confirmed they will be returning to the fold. In a joint statement via Deadline, they said: 'We can't wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon – three men we'd literally die for (in Brenda's case, again.)' Unsurprisingly, fans were delighted by the announcement and flocked to social media to share their excitement for the sequel. Reddit user Sully9614 celebrated: 'The world needs Anna Faris in dumb comedies again. Excited to see these 2 again!!' 'I can't wait to see what they do with the amazing influx of horror we have had the last few years,' TakedownMoreCorn cheered. Fontainesmemory commented: 'For me personally they litrealyl couldn't make this without Regina lol she was sooo funny [sic].' As Radioactivetoon added: 'Regina Hall is the real star of this series. She's absolutely hilarious. Without her, it's not the same. I'm glad she's back.' According to the outlet, the Wayans brothers are penning the script with Rick Alvarez, with untitled Scary Movie 6 project slated to be released next June. The first Scary Movie followed a group of teenagers accidentally hitting a man with their car and dumping his body in a lake – before they find themselves stalked by a killer in a Ghostface mask a year later. It raked in more than $270million at the global box office and spawned an entire series, with Scary Movie 2 released the following year. Marlon confirmed their involvement in the sixth instalment last year, posing with a Ghostface parody in a picture. 'WE'RE BACK!!! After nearly 20 years, the Wayans brothers are finally going to give the fans what they've been asking for… a return to the SCARY MOVIE franchise,' he cheered. 'We're looking forward to having fun on the big screen again.' More Trending Teasing the upcoming follow-up, the brothers told Deadline: 'We couldn't be more excited to be a part of the new Scary Movie and work with each other again. 'This is a franchise we created more than 20 years ago. We remember people laughing in the aisles and hope to see that happen again. 'We look forward to working with Jonathan Glickman and his team at the new Miramax to bring these laughs to theaters, where they belong. It's a double reunion.' Got a story? Strictly Come Dancing confirm 12th contestant who may have an edge on competition

Fans are ecstatic about hearing the official line-up for the upcoming series of Strictly. Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed its 12th contestant for the 2025 series, who may have an edge on the competition due to one lucky aspect of his personal life. Neighbours star Stefan Dennis, who is best known for his role as Paul Robinson on the Australian soap, was revealed as the latest star on This Morning on Thursday (August 14)- and his wife is a professional dancer. ‌ Stefan expressed his anticipation for the show, saying to presenters Emma Willis and Craig Doyle: "I'm [feeling] pretty good. I'm very excited to be doing something that's completely and utterly out of my comfort zone. But also because of that, quite a bit petrified." ‌ The 66-year-old went on to admit that he's not naturally gifted in the dance department, but his wife, Gail, a professional dancer, has been trying to help him get into the groove ahead of the series. ‌ "It's so ironic because my gorgeous wife, wherever she is, somewhere out there, Gail, is a professional dancer," he said, reports the Daily Star. "She's been trying to teach me in the most frustrating way for her for sure, because I just keep burying my head in the sand, going, 'This is not happening.'" He added: "She's been giving me some good tips, but that doesn't mean I'm any good." In a statement about joining the BBC dance competition, Stefan said: "This is an opportunity for me to once again learn to step out of my comfort zone in the world of television. Looking forward to the sparkle and reaching for the sky." Stefan first graced our screens on Neighbours in 1985 and has since appeared in over 6,000 episodes during the show's 40-year run. ‌ Before his stint on the beloved soap, Stefan had a lengthy career in Australian television, with roles in shows such as Prisoner, The Henderson Kids, The Sullivans, Young Doctors and Sons and Daughters, among others. He has also made appearances in UK shows like The Bill, Dream Team, River City and Casualty, and starred in the West End musical Blood Brothers. This news follows the announcement that Vicky Pattison will be the 11th celebrity to join the line-up, as revealed earlier on This Morning. ‌ The TV presenter, author, podcast and radio host won the hearts of the nation when she was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity in 2015. On her participation in Strictly, Vicky expressed: "'I'm absolutely buzzing to be part of this year's Strictly Come Dancing line up... but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified. "I am a not a natural dancer! However, it's such an amazing opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and to challenge myself in a completely new way and I just really hope I don't make too much of a fool of myself!"

He made light work of the ITV show's pyramid - with 29 seconds remaining to answer the £50,000 Catchphrase. At this point, Joe hit a stumbling block as he tried to work out the last puzzle. It first showed various shops, with stop signs on display in the window. The key focus was "Sign World", which had a single stop sign and an arrow pointing to it. Joe initially guessed "Stop sign" and "Only a stop sign", as the clock ticked away. With only four seconds left, the actor correctly answered "One stop shop." It meant Joe scooped £50,000 for his charity - as well as £6,700 he won in earlier rounds. Host Stephen Mulhern said: "Do you know what, that is incredible. Wow, I have never seen it done like that." Joe then revealed he couldn't wait to share the good news with his charity. The 1% Club - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the 'X' of January." It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence. - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The Chase - The ITV daytime favourite left fans scratching their heads when it threw up one of the most bizarre questions to ever grace the programme. One of the questions asked the player: "Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?" The options were - sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots - with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes. Long-time soap fans will remember Joe as EastEnders' Matthew Rose from 1997 to 2000. The character feuded with Steve Owen (Martin Kemp) - who memorably framed him for murder. Elsewhere, Joe recently shared a difference between working on the two soaps. Celebrity Catchphrase airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
